Just Shagging - JSers roll up for fred 12

Kittenkatzen · 01/11/2012 14:03

Oh, the other fred filled up all of a sudden! Oh well here's a new one....(horse feel free to replace if you want to be fred starter, just didn't want everyone in limbo!)

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Wine and Brew with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. The reason for this is a closely guarded secret, known only to....er....well, nobody as far as we can tell!
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit).
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Don't worry frog we've only done about 6 DTDs too this cycle, though I'm (hopefully) confident they were at the right time.

I'm insanely stressed with work ATM though - and I've heard stress makes it harder to conceive? Does that mean stress in general or just being stressed whilst DTD? One way or another it's making me spotty & emotional so hard to tell preg/AF symptoms from stress ones!

We are def due another BFP on this thread soon!

frogchops · 08/11/2012 17:59

Agreed boy!
I'm feeling exactly the same, apart from the spots...but watch this space!!
Have been thinking in the car on way bk from work about whether the symptoms in feeling (cramps, twinges, horrible backache, etc) could be due to anything else. Of course I know they could mean af, but I've never had this backache before when due af. Now I'm wondering wether its a uti?? Esp due to me not going to the toilet after Dtd this month?? Don't suffer with them normally, but then I always use the toilet normally. Anyone think this could be the case? Other than that I've noticed since after ov I've been quite dry, but today there's an increase in cm. I dont know how cm is meant to be after ov.

AndieMatrix · 08/11/2012 18:28

Boy Stress can affect conception as it messes with your hormones. So it's entirely counter productive that we all get so stressed about TTC but we just can't help it!lol.

Frog According to my Fertility Friend app the pattern for CM post ov is Dry-Sticky-Creamy-Watery-EW (I presume with ERTD somewhere in creamy)

Rockchick1984 · 09/11/2012 08:31

Morning shaggers, I've been gone a few days and you've all run off and left me Sad I've had a brief catch up, so just to say the trick to bums ex is for the deposits to be left in the condom not up your bum Grin I love a bit of bumsex but DH isn't all that bothered so it's more of a treat for me occasionally!

Andie what prams are you obsessing about? I didn't do any research before DS and have since become slightly obsessed not that I've got 4 prams shoved in a cupboard that I've since discarded and replaced, no no no I've not, you can't prove anything

Stop stressing Frog - not sure if I've mentioned before, but my DS is the result of one unprotected shag so it really can only take one deposit in the right place to result in a baby!

wavesandsneezes · 09/11/2012 09:15

Hello everyone - been awol a couple of days due to a hideous cold. Spent yesterday in bed all day. Very rare for me, even when sick, so proper poorly.

We have consequently fallen right off the JSing wagon. Maybe tonight, if I can actually breathe/stay awake/contemplate the thought of anything remotely physical!

frog, my DD was the result of one very unintentional very drunken unprotected shag. I'd just discovered that my then DH had been having an affair. Too much alcohol on New Year's Eve and 9 months later DD arrived. (ExDH left a couple of months later, but that was actually a relief) Sometimes I think that obsessing puts up some sort of a psychological barrier, hence the reason we are JSing instead of thinking about OPKs, cycle lengths etc. Although we have invested in some of that conceive plus, although it has yet to be used due to my poorliness Sad

AWomanCalledHorse · 09/11/2012 09:37

Boy, the JS threads have been a bit sparse on sticky BFP's recently! I think we've had 5/6 BFP's turn into MCs, so we're all due a nice a bit of luck.

frog, last month we only dtd 10 times in the entire month & I still got a bfp, I know someone who has had sex with their wife twice in the last 5 years (v.unhappy relationship) and they have a 2 & a 3 year old...so try not to stress about it.

There's a moose mouse loose aboot this house, can't catch it atm & we're really distracted from JS as we want it out before one of us get ill (we know a kid who had really bad gastroenteritis after contact with mouse poo), I'm normally an animal lover, but this little bastard is annoying me!

What's everyone upto this weekend?

Rockchick1984 · 09/11/2012 09:45

Horse I'm so looking forward to this weekend - we have a baby free Saturday and going to watch Steel Panther!! One of my favourite groups (and the lead singer isn't exactly unattractive... Yummy...) then off out drinking and hopefully drunken JSing the night away - we have booked a travellodge hotel for this very purpose Grin Grin Grin

Have you got anything fun planned? How are you feeling now?

AndieMatrix · 09/11/2012 10:26

RockChick Steel Panther \m/ Jealous. My current pram obsession is the Janè Trider Matrix. Janè have got brilliant safety ratings, the travel systems are one hand operations and they have a snazzy car seat which is both sit up and lie down!! I had a Janè tandem when I had my DD as DS was still only 14months and it was built like a tank but easy to manoeuvre. The Volvo of pushchairs.lol. DP is obsessed with Quinnys as that's what he chose for his eldest. Anyway, don't encourage me. please encourage me lol

Horse Hope you get rid of the mouse soon.

Our house has been full of germs all week and obviously I now have the lurgy just as DP is due home for the weekend. JSing hiatus I think. Sad

AndieMatrix · 09/11/2012 10:30

You'll appreciate this ladies:
Told DP I might be feeling too rough to DTD later and his response was "I don't mind if you just lie there, I'll mop you up after" Gosh, he's so romantic!lol

AWomanCalledHorse · 09/11/2012 11:24

Oooh, Steel Panther! Have a great time RockChick, enjoy the JS although sorry that you may conceive a baby in a travel lodge Grin

Andie! Hope you're all feeling better soon, glad DH is being so caring towards you!

This temping/OPK shite I'm trying atm is really boring, and it's bad because I'm actively thinking about ttc everyday. Looking forward to either getting bfp or ertd back to normal so I can get back to properly JS!
I have a kitchen full of (deadly) mouse traps, however thanks to the graphic novel 'Maus' I feel like an evil bastard for even trying to kill it.

wavesandsneezes · 09/11/2012 11:31

andie being sick totally sucks, doesn't it Sad

We are hoping to have our bathroom plumbed in Sunday, so DH is tiling all day tomorrow, and I am hoping for a hot steamy bath (to clear my nose as opposed to the romantic/JSing kind of hot and steamy) Sunday night.

I think I will be snuffling through music lessons over the weekend, and then curled up under a duvet. Not the most fun of weekends. Oh, and playing a big gig tonight, but that should be finished from my side by about 9.45 I hope!

AndIfATenTonTruck · 09/11/2012 11:32

Gave DH last night off. Tonight is Friday/cd16 bubbles though!

DS was a one shot wonder, almost exactly four years ago. We'd only been together less than 6 months too!

Who's in the 2ww then? Shoot me, but just there is the one time on MN that I've thought 'ooh, a ticker would be useful...!'

Kittenkatzen · 09/11/2012 13:40

I'm in the 2ww tenton, CD 26. Tested last night crazy , BFN. Obviously. ERTD due at some point this weekend. On the plus side it would appear that my cycle length might be creeping upwards again from 24 days silliness (not in a rude way you filthmongers ShockWink )

Thanks to all you ladies feeling poorly, andie arf at "I'll mop you up" :o

horse hope you catch your mouse soon, eek! We had one indoors a few years ago - DH was standing on the bed squealing like a girl while I chased it out!

Weekend plans, we are having an Ozzie Masterchef style mystery box evening with some friends - the boys are getting packed off to tesco and us girls will create culinary masterpieces with whatever they come back with :)

OP posts:
ChristineDaae · 09/11/2012 14:21

horse oh no! I like mice in cages/balls etc but not loose in my house. I did have to go runs to a friends house once as he wanted to move out for a few days while the catchers were down but he was too scared to go into his bedroom in case it was there so sent me in for him Smile
Pretty sure ERTD is imminent, due tomorrow. Sad oh well, that just means I can have wine while watching xfactor tomorrow Grin

AndieMatrix · 09/11/2012 14:31

Kitten That sounds like hard work, I'm ok armed with a recipe and the right ingredients but I'm not adventurous enough for mystery boxes (ooh err)
Yeah, my DP has a way with words, nothing surprises me anymore.lol

Chris Why is it the men who are always scared of the rodents. I'm pretty sure the same situation as Kitten described would happen in my house too. We're both equally scared of spiders though and we get some big ones in this house (ooh err again!)

Bearface · 09/11/2012 17:01

Hello ladies! Happy Friday! Wine

Andie - your DP is hilarious! Made me think of a bit in the Vagina Monologues where the woman gets a bit ahem, excited wet, and it all gushes out of her until she fills the room and people are swimming in it! Grin I'm sure that doesn't happen to you, but I love the way your DP thinks a mop might be necessary. Ha ha! Men!

I am totally scared of rodents as grew up in the big smoke and they are mahoosive there. No word of a lie, I once saw one that was as big as next door's cat. Ugh - I'm getting the shivers thinking about it now. I'm very scaredy of them. Spiders, no problem though. (Rolls up sleeves and looks hard.) Mice and rats and I'm a quivering wreck. (Peeks face out from under duvet.) Hope you catch it soon Chris

Get well soon Andie and Waves. x

livismum · 09/11/2012 17:11

Hi ladies can I come back please? Sad had mc confirmed at the EPU yesterday, I knew though as bleeding was pretty bad! No pain so grateful for that, been managing to carry on with work etc as normal!
So do I wait a month or throw myself straight back in to JSing?! Hubby won't know what's hit him! I want a sticky bean and I want one now!!

We didn't do it much at in sept to fall with this one (although it hasn't worked out) so try not to fret frog try and relax and enjoy all the extra action! DH works nights so I have to sneak back to bed with him during the day Smile it's always clear what I want stripping off and jumping in to bed when I should be cleaning or watching tv

I'm thinking a nice BFP would be a lovely early Christmas present for us all (presuming we are all of course on his nice list) I'll get cracking on letter to Father Christmas now!

Bearface · 09/11/2012 17:21

Hi livismum - really sorry to hear that. Sad Hope you are okay. Really hope it works out next time for you. I don't know anything about MCs (never had a BFP) so sorry, can't help you with that. Welcome, welcome back though - Christmas pressies would be lovely for us all wouldn't it?

I was just thinking last night though that if I got a BFP now baby would arrive in mid-august so would be at bottom of school year which I wouldn't really want for them, but I guess a bubba is a bubba no matter when they're born and I'd just be ecstatic to have one! Oh the joys of obsessing! Iuse more exclamation marks on this fred than I ever have anywhere else in my whole life - ha ha!

Bearface · 09/11/2012 17:29

Sorry in advance for the symptom spotting, but I felt a bit sick last night (DH said it was because I hadn't eaten in a while - I'm a teacher and often did a full day without lunch and never felt sick before). I also feel like stuff is well, moving around in my lady bits area below my stomach. It isn't surface level though - it's right inside. Maybe I have a bug (although I'm usually on the loo if I have had - got a fairly strong stomach and so it comes out further down for me) or wind, or maybe it's just nothing, but as I've never had a BFP I just don't know - has anyone else felt anything similar at all when they had a BFP?

Bearface · 09/11/2012 17:41

And feel a bit queasy now too. I only ate something about an hour ago though.

AWomanCalledHorse · 09/11/2012 17:45

(( livismum )), sorry it's been a tough year on you ttc. 'Glad' it was a painless mc, but really sorry to see you back here.
I'm throwing myself back into it, I want a sticky bean NOW, I guess there wouldn't be any harm in you trying again so soon....and from a really morbid, horrible, worst case, point of view, 3 mc's in a row & you'll be able to get investigated.

Hospital letter confirming the date of my 12wk scan came through earlier, thought I was over the mc but it had me crying like a baby, spoke to midwife who was really sorry they'd not taken me off their books...having fish & chips tonight as I'm in the mood to cook now.

Bear, I felt like that for the weeks I was pg with DS before I realised! Fingers crossed for you! Although you know I have to you now right? Wink
I feel the same as you about the end of school year thing (DH is Aug born), but like you say I'd just be happy to have one!

Laid three of those neck snapping Tom & Jerry style traps for it, and it's eaten the peanut butter off each one, so now we're going the non-humane destruction method & buying poison traps. DH is a big, manly, man & he yelped like a bitch when he saw it running across the floor t'other day Grin

shoots TenTon, no tickers for you! Ever!!

-Thanks--Grin
^Ticker wot says 'Horse is four hours away from dtd'

AndIfATenTonTruck · 09/11/2012 17:54

Grin nice one Horse!

hugs to all the returnees (and lurkers)

DH came home early this afternoon, I have been working at home today, so I jumped him Grin

frogchops · 09/11/2012 17:58

Near face, I'm feeling all of that too, with the odd cramping and twinges and heartburn. I fully sympathise with the symptom spotting so I can't tell you off!!

I'm here laughing away at being 'mopped up' simply because my DP has done this before too!! Lol I shout at him now after Dtd CID I'm sure most couples have a lovely romantic cuddle and fall asleep in each others arms, whereas my DP goes for the cuddling but then gets up and will throw my clothes at me like some hooker, lol... So romantic.

Am doing quite well in resisting the urge to poas, but I'm thinking about it daily!! My thoughts of having a uti are taking over my symptom spotting tho, with this pain inside my back, to the sides are very kidneypain like. :-/
Anyone advise on what pregnancy back pain is like, CID I'm guessing its not like this, and I'm guessing u don't get it this early!!

Bearface · 09/11/2012 18:00

Okay - thanks Horse - well, I'll keep an eye on it or both eyes if obsessing Thanks for the Hooya too! Grin

Well done TenTon - my DH is feeling poorly so not sure if we'll get any in tonight, but maybe don't need to - eek!

Have a lovely weekend everyone. x

frogchops · 09/11/2012 18:00
