Having recommended this fab little gadget for everyone ttc I wonder whether everyone who has now got one wants to join a thread and keep each other posted on our fern days etc?!

About me: Am ttc db2 but still bfeeding dd (9mths) about once a day. No af since giving birth so no idea if ovulating etc but have just started using my isis scope :o

I seem to be getting very random partial ferning on and off for the last 10 days. No full ferning yet thoughSad

top tip for money saving :)
My batteries ran out last night just as I got full ferning earlier GRRR
But whddaya know, hold the lense up to a house light. Perfectly visible
So I now take the batteries out when I'm not using it.

hows everyones ferning going?love the word obulated!!!think that should be our new word on here!have we all obulated?see,it works!!!!
had blobs and few ferns past couple of days.so will wait and see if get af next friday (ish) now!

I had partial ferning cd 13 14 full ferns 15 and 16, partial 17 and 18
Am cd 20 now
It all fits in with ov on cd17, when you add in post ov rising temps and ewcm etc...
Gosh its not romantic is it all this charting and watching...
But who cares if it results in a baby!!!!!!

AM feeling a bit Sad as I am on day 12 and not so much as a frond of a fern in sight. Maybe I am not obulating at all. Sad. Am still BD for Britain though just in case Smile so not all doom and gloom.

think have stopped obulating def now.only got spots today.funny thing is though have more ewcm,so am now officially confused!!!

It is confusing, I think I am mostly led by temps and CM tbh, I've had ferning on and off for a large part of the cycle.
This could mean I'm hyper fertile LOL but 3 yrs of ttc says not!
I am still getting partial ferning now.. 3dpo
It is confusing... Am now praying for good temps Grin

I'm confused too, I have partial ferning sometimes then it goes to blobs. Also seem to get more ferning if I test at night instaed of first thing. No full ferning though so no obulationSad

LOL all at using obulation!! I had af from 28/3 - 2/4 so am hoping for ferns around 8/4. Praying I will obulate :o I am as confused as everyone else though as ferning doesn't seem entirely foolproof!
Hows everyone elses obulating going?!

hi, have just started using isis scope this month. I am on day 12 and all I see are blobs (usually ovulate around day 14). Am I doing something wrong....lick the lens, wait 15 mins then look through....thats it isn't it.

Are these fern shapes really obvious...I couldn't miss them could I? Is there anything that could give me a 'false reading'

Here is my top tips :)
2 hours after or before anything else bar water.
Take you finger and scoop some saliva from under your tongue, and blob it on, quite a decent layer, use more than one fingerful if need
Set it aside to dry for 20 minutes - infact forget about it - invariably when I forgot about it I had ferns!
I have hd ferns full and on and off since day 8 though - yes they are obvious.

im def not obulating now,only got blobs.also got pains in tum as af due friday Sad.
dizzy,you cant miss the ferns!very pretty!!

Please post it Buffy! I have these tree like structures, not blobs, but not ferny enough to be ferns. Is this partial ferning? Or just lines?

Sounds like pre ov partial ferning, give it 12 hours :)

I did the licking thing for my whole last cycle and got nothing but blobs, was gutted. Not sure I want to carry on with it now because am feeling worried that I won't get them at all!! Will try Piffle's top tips though. Would I be right in thinking sometimes you just don't obulate at all during your cycle? It's only 3 months since m/c but have some quite sad days, especially as my sister's baby is due next week. I've started worrying now I won't be able to hold him because it'll be too hard...Sad

Just wanted to clear this up too, does it matter whether you put the lens back in the holder to dry or should you leave it out?
