Having recommended this fab little gadget for everyone ttc I wonder whether everyone who has now got one wants to join a thread and keep each other posted on our fern days etc?!

About me: Am ttc db2 but still bfeeding dd (9mths) about once a day. No af since giving birth so no idea if ovulating etc but have just started using my isis scope :o

Rubymummy how long does this gadget take to come, ordered mine monday evening.

used mine 2x now (with cm rather than licking, as I rarely go 2 hours without something to eat or drink - maybe that's why I am on the lardy club thread ) and just blobs no ferns for me. Am on day 15. Have I missed the boat do you think? I have only had 2 periods since DD born and am worried that i am not ovulating. I shall keep trying and keep you posted

Hi all :-) Hope dizzy and nicola got copies of the instructions i emailed :-) Musa - mine arrived pretty quickly (not sure exactly as it was 18 mths ago now. Hope yours gets there safely soon.
Teacups - I have never had good result from cm even when saliva is showing ferns - i think because you leave marks with whatever you put it on the slide with (?) Be interested to know if anyone else manages to see ferns with cm. Perhaps you could try 1st thing in the morning before breakfast??

As for me - 3 days to go before i dare test...

I tried this am with saliva but only blobs . This is day 17 though so I may have missed my ferns for this month. I am going to try and do it every day to see if i ever get ferns.

BTW, what do you clean yours with? I have been wiping it with a bit of tissue until it looks clear, do you think that's enough?

No problem Nicola - at least if I don't get pg myself in the near future I can feel like i helped other people trying too!!

Teacups I think thats fine - I just use wet cotton wool or tissue then dry it - i would think so long as you have a look through the lens once you've cleaned it, provided its clear I'd say ther'd be nothing on it to interefere with the next sample! :)

Mine still hasn't arrived, but if ewcm follows the same pattern it has last couple of months I'm hoping to see some at the weekend!

Did one way too early yesterday - BFN obviously. Thankfully i have a job lot of cheap ebay tests! Will try and leave it at least another week I think. Am trying very hard to forget about it as I keep convincing myself i must be because we bd during ferns. Which is very silly! I never thought no af could be so infuriating - can't even be 'late'!

He will have no option! I was the same as we bd'd when I had ewcm so was convinced I'd be pg, but the worst bit was not even getting af! We'll get there in the end!

LOL I am worried now about whether you can get ferns without ovulating - can't find out anywhere whether thats the case or not. Hope not. I want the ferns to mean i have ovulated!

Reading through the messageboards on that link Beartime gave on the other thread, there was someone saying that it is like OPKs and only detects a surge in hormones which does not prove ov, but not sure if that is true. Don't you hate that noone really knows? Its the "time will tell" that frustrates me. Either you'll be pg or get af and we'll know you ov, or neither and you didn't but it is so FRUSTRATING!!!!!! Wish someone could just tell me "you'll be pg in 2 months" then I'd be happy! Hmmm perhaps I should start consulting psychics

AArrgghh its all just so irritating! Ahh well at least i got an engagement ring yesterday - i guess you can;t have everything at once/ I suppose at least we know we've got pg once so we can (in theory!) do it again!!

Hopefully you're right and the ferns mean something. I think I might give up bfeeding soon. I love the closeness of it though.

yeah my dream is to tandem feed.... My friend just got af back and she gave up breastfeeding 4 months ago, so kind of think your body just does it when ready. Would hate to give up and it still not come back for ages!!!! At least this way I feel there is a really good reason for it.

bobblehead - "Either you'll be pg or get af and we'll know you ov, or neither and you didn't". Unfortunately the arrival of af, even if you've had ferning and +ve opks doesn't necessaily mean you've ov'd. I've got plenty of day 21 day blood tests to prove it .
