Oinker, I am so sorry, i wrote Rubles not Oinker in last thread.
Love Mips

ruthlouise · 06/07/2006 11:28

Oh Oinker, just read your chat thread. sorry it sounds so scary. But as the others have said, things are now being investigated and perhaps can be finally sorted for you. Don't be put off by thought of having a baby in your 40's. Lots of women do these days. I was 39 when I had dd and thought I'd be the only oldie mum. What a shock - there are loads of older mums and I've made some great friends with older mums who have little ones similar age to dd. You certainly wouldn't be alone.
Oinker, You are always such a fantastic encouragement to the rest of us on here. I hope you can muster a little hope for yourself and accept all our best wishes and positive vibes to keep you going whilst you wait to find out what they can do for you. Thinking of you
Love Ruth XX

time4tea · 06/07/2006 12:41

Oinker, I'm also stumped about finding your other thread, but felt so sad to see your post, so obviously feeling low. I completely echo what RuthLouise says about you being such a wonderful encouragement to the rest of us, and how warm and informed your advice always is. We're all thinking of you and keeping fingers crossed for you... XXXX

Smole · 06/07/2006 13:40

Thinking positive thoughts Oinker. I'm sure they can sort this out for you. Most medical gobbledegook sounds worse than what it is. Hopefully it'll be something really easy to sort.

Angsthase · 06/07/2006 14:35

Oinker - it may not be as bad as it looks on paper. Wait and see what your GP makes of it - do you have an appt with a specialist too??
Try to think positive xxx

BTW - I couldn't seem to see link either until I scrolled down and realised the thread starts below the advert on the left.

Nicola63 · 06/07/2006 16:50

Also don't know how to find your chat thread, have replied on your other thread

cece · 06/07/2006 18:42

Hi Mips,
that would be nice but I share email thingy with dh so it is not private!

Hi babyfettle - hope you are well.

desperate2bmum · 06/07/2006 19:10

oinker im so sorry. did the doctor not give you any translation in english? if not thats pretty unfair to leave you in the unknown like that. i hope it all becomes clear soon and things brighten up xx

oinker · 06/07/2006 19:34

How comes you can't find the chat thread?

Go to Topics on discussions line. (top of page)

Then go towards the left margin. CHAT is towards the end of the subjects.
Click on that and the thread is there.

Nicola I have posted on my other thread too if that's easier.

oinker · 06/07/2006 19:35

CHAT comes under the heading ' FUN AND GAMES'

babyfettle · 06/07/2006 22:10

Oinker - you poor girl - medical language can sound so confusing. I work in the pharmaceutical industry and they were pretty long words they were using. hopefully your GP will be able to explain it a bit better.

Take care and keep as positive as you always sound to be

Mips · 07/07/2006 10:39

Hi Oinker,
I found the thread, thanks.
I too was confused by language, and hopefully your GP willexplain further. When I mc,I looked at mynotes from scan and it mentioned retained products at the fundus (using more long words than I can remember).
Goodluck, and I will be thinking of you.
Mips xxx

time4tea · 07/07/2006 12:28

hello Oinker I found the thread too, so sorry to hear what sounds so grim in medical language. so often it can be really tactless-sounding. but really challenge them to explain to you in English - I think its pretty shocking they give you something so hard to understand - of course you'll feel demoralised. I really hope your GP can help.

we're all thinking of you Oinker - you're a special MN-er.

K1K2 - Smole - Nicola
Any one of you tested yet?

Smole · 07/07/2006 14:19

I think AF has arrived although she's a little strange! I'm sure she'll sort herself out.

desperate2bmum · 07/07/2006 15:54

aww smole there is always next month
my a/f arrived this morning i think but it has only been 3 weeks since i m/c could this be possible?! anyway im going tokeep an eye on it but il be so happy if it is....atleast i can try and get preggers and say i followed docs advice on waiting for 1 a/f.
those who are thinking of testing my fingers are crossed for you

rubles · 08/07/2006 08:26

Smole, in what way strange? Are you sure it was AF?

Janus · 08/07/2006 08:49

desperate2bemum, my periods were all over the place after my miscarriage, think my first one was after 3 weeks, then went to every 2 weeks for a while (fun!) and really only sorted itself out after about 3 months. I would say you are having your period and hopefully on the way to be ready to conceive again. Good luck. xx
Am 14 days since my last period so should be at optimum time to conceive this weekend, good job the weather's cooled down .

weewilliewinkie · 08/07/2006 08:58

Hi Oinker,

I saw your other thread - I'm so so sorry you're having to deal with this. How are you today? I really have nothing of any value to add, but I just wanted you to know I'm thinking about you. I echo what Ruthlouise said about you being a tremendous support over the last few weeks/months (this thread has been going a long time now!)....you're a star and we all think so.

Take care honey.

How is everyone else? Sorry I've not been around on here for a while...I've just been dotting about. Too anxious to join the Pg after m/c thread properly, although I introduced myself a while back. I had my early scan last week and all was well - I could see my baby's teeny tiny heartbeat which was such a relief. I'm 7+4 weeks now - 4 days later than I though from my dates - I must have ov'd earlier than Fertility Friend said! So there you go.

Hope you're all ok...I still pop in every day to catch up on everyone...can't leave you lovely ladies just yet!

desperate2bmum · 08/07/2006 09:36

oh my janus....EVERY 2 WEEKS!!
that will drive me round the bend if that happens to me.
have fun at the weekend janus and i hope it all goes to plan

oinker · 08/07/2006 11:46

You lot are so sweet.

I went to the Gp yesterday who basically said that the scar tissue could be part/caused by fibroids. He said that should they decide to remove the fibroid they will also do the scar tissue. He reckons its not a hard op. as risky as a D&C. He also said that if St Marys drag their heels over ops etc then I should tell him. He will pester them to slot me in as an emergency as such, cos he feels the other hospital should have picked all this stuff up ages ago(like a year ago) and that time is against me. I am pleased to know that he is fighting my corner.
He also mentioned that fibroids are really common and operated on all the time.

I am feeling a bit more reassured now.

Thanks for the support ladies. You are all such a great bunch. I am sort of dreading my hols as I will be away from the computer and will struggle to find an internet cafe.

Thanks again. xx

Nicola63 · 08/07/2006 11:53

Many people have had intrauterine scar tissue and fibroids removed and gone on to healthy pregnancies.

I don't have fobroids but do have scar tissue, althouh I managed to get pg with it I then miscarried (not related to the scar tissue in the opinion of my obstetrician). May have to go and have the scar tissue operated on now if not pg in next month or so. Unfortunately as it is entirely fertility related and I am over 40 I can't get it on NHS but will have it done privately at Hammersmith fertility clinic.

Nicola63 · 08/07/2006 12:01

PS did test this morning (CD 28) but bfn. Don't know why I bothered as I know full well that both times I got pg I was naerer to CD 32 by the time the test went positive. Still waiting.

time4tea · 08/07/2006 16:43

hello all

Oinker great to hear positive news, and that your GP is doing his job. Keep hanging in there. Being on the lists for St. Mary's has to be a good sign, it's the best place. Wonderful also to hear you sounding more perky.

I'm like WWW, despite BFP can't bear to leave you ladies. The early scan is on Tuesday morning and am completely numb with trying not to reflect on it an get too het up. The thought of going into the scan room again.... I've booked nights out with friends last night, tonight and tomorrow night, am knackered, but trying to fill my time until Tuesday. DH has gone out with DS to the park so I can have a rest. You won't believe what DH said this morning - that he'd sort of forgotten the scan is on Tuesday I really don't know what I'd do without your support. WWW started a champion thread in the pregnancy section on coping with anxiety when pregnant post-mc.

thanks all, wouldn't be getting through this even reasonably sane without you...

LittlePolly · 08/07/2006 18:01

Hi all

T4T DH needs kick in pants!!! It's nice to have you and WWW hanging around - reminds us what it's all about. I'll be thinking of you on Tuesday morning. What time is the scan?

Oinker - relieved to hear your results are hopefully not as scary as first thought. It actually sounds quite positive - that it's something that can be finally sorted out for you. I do hope so.

Smole - how is your strange AF????

My AF has finally departed and now looking forward to starting ov tests this coming week. We went to look at a puppy the other night - not really sure how I feel about it so soon after losing our last little boy, but the house feels so empty without a dog.

Good luck to everyone with testing and ttc-ing. xxx
