Just Shagging Part 10; No science or skill, JS at will!

AWomanCalledHorse · 27/06/2012 14:03

Welcome to the lazy way to make a baby, part 10!!

Just Shagging (JS) is ttc using ye olde shagging & crossing fingers methods, our tools are your body, OH?s body..urm some wine & lots of finger crossing.

All are welcome, most leave happy & upduffed! The last two threads have been very successful; thread 8 had 5 BFP?s, thread 9 had 6 BFP?s....so we?re due 7 BFP?s here, which means we all need to get shagging.

We don?t ?do?; OPKS, taking temp or harcore charting...although it is nice to know when ERTD is due.
Which brings us to acronyms & slang;
AF=ERTD (Evil Red Tide Of Doom).
EWCM=Pant Snot
Getting a BFP soon after joining thread= Doing a kitten
You=Are a viroid, no idea why but it goes long back to the dawn of time.
DTD=JS or donning the Shag cape.
POAS=Sometimes referred to as PIAR (Pissing In A Ramekin), as we?re such classy ladies

Here is last thread for proof that it works, and that you can't shut us up Grin

Here is the Graduates thread!

Morning all!

practising keeping the run of bfp's going I see, good work - congratulations! :):):)

33/christine are you both on your first cycle post-pill? Not very helpful I know, but it really can take a couple of months for things to settle down in there. Christine did you not have a final withdrawal bleed after stopping the pill then? Did you stop at a funny time?

33andTTC · 20/08/2012 11:57

Hi, yes first after pill. I know im being unreasonable to expect smooth cycles straight away but my heart just wants Bfp and im acting spoilt about it i know. Having shitty time at work as boss is being petty wanker so really dont want to be here with AF head on as i might just kill him or do something that will lose me my job. Aaaaaahhhhhggrrrrrrrrrrr!

Hooya · 20/08/2012 12:17

notso I'm a Brit but live in Asia, several hours ahead of the UK! I'm often on here when everyone else is asleep, and have to prevent myself from multi-post mentalism!

33 and christine seems like we're all in the same boat - first or second cycle off the pill and ERTD just not behaving at all! My return of ERTD (2 days after it stopped) was short and is now just kind of pinkish stuff... so will nervously return to JSing and hope DP doesn't get any more nasty surprises!

33 my boss is clinically insane and can be a right prick at times, but I like to remember that he probably leads a sad lonely life outside of work [big grin] does that make me a bad person? and that the idea that he should dictate my mood is just wrong!

notsoold · 20/08/2012 12:38

hooya... I can say that I was up in the night reading your post :)
33, christine it took me a while for my ERTD to settle when I came of the pill (aeons ago).

Well , we had a phone call that dh stents will be on until September the 17th missing yet another month to ttc.... I am doing some serious thinking here trying not to get cross with dh( not his fault), trying not yo give up the whole business, trying not to thinking that we missed our turn ( old and decrepit that we are)....
Overall rubbish time so I am shutting up now. Sorry for ranting :(

Hooya · 20/08/2012 12:52

Oh notso I can imagine how frustrating that must be - and the kind of thing where you need to blame someone though there isn't anyone to blame! I had never heard of stents before (had to google it) but sounds nasty!

Reading loads of threads here on MN, and amazing stories of conception, I think you've only left it too late if you're actually menopausal - seems there is always hope, it can just take a frustratingly long time!

notsoold · 20/08/2012 12:58

hooya thanks hun....reading our post and crying....thanks again...

Hooya · 20/08/2012 13:17

Sorry you are down, notso, it's a rough ride and seems to have no rhyme or reason as far as anyone can tell. But there are so many people here to support you, have a good cry with you, swear about how unfair it all is...

I would have a good cry, read some of the amazing success stories, and eat something unhealthy!

AWomanCalledHorse · 20/08/2012 13:49

Oh myyyyy! I go away for a week & everyone is pregnant....congratulations to all!! Grin
practising, you'll have to name change soon!!

notso, it is utter poo when you start ttc & everything decides to work against you, hope DH is stent-less asap..and second Hooya's suggestion of reading the success stories.

I have the worlds worst possible uti atm (how many acronyms can you fit in a sentence!), so we're not ttc...
It's ttc boards rulez that the member who has been on here the longest starts the next thread...could someone else start the next one, I'm a bit :( about having to be on here so long!

OP posts:
Kittenkatzen · 20/08/2012 14:09

ooh we're not quite ready for a new thred just yet are we?! horse I hope the uti buggers off sharpish. hope you're not feeling too crappy with it :(

33 re your tosspot boss, i recommend knocking up a makeshift voodoo doll using a stress reliever toy and unwound paperclips to stick in it :o

notso that's rubbish news about the stents :( as the others have said though, there's always hope and, frustrating as it is, all you can do is keep trying - it'll be worth it in the end!

swimmingnotdrowning · 20/08/2012 15:14

notso quite a few people on these threads have suggested taking a break from ttc for a couple of months to focus on their relationship and regain their sanity. Could this be one of those times for you?

If not, and it is an unremittingly rubbish time, then I'm with hooya - hope and chocolate are the best way forward.

Does anyone have any tips for concentrating during the tww? If I'm not here, I'm in the loo staring at my pants. In neither place am I working and it's more than a week to go still. I was doing so well and now I have butterfly brain which will last until ERTD bfp (did I really just type that?) in the middle of next week. Argh. Help?

swimmingnotdrowning · 20/08/2012 15:16

PS horse boo to uti - my friend who is a GP and gets utis herself says the best thing by far is to drink as many pints of water as you physically can and then some more and keep going that way. You're going to be at the loo pretty much all the time anyway and that way your wee is so dilute that it doesn't hurt nearly so much.

33andTTC · 20/08/2012 16:22

thanks kitten I might just try that Voodoo doll boss idea. Recon I might hang it by its bits out the window and hope a seagull pecks it to death.

I recommend drinking like a horse! It will so stort itself out.

I have had monthly mouse in today, interested to see if my second ERTD of the month is anything much. No pains or hurty boobs like the first one... Is this CD1 or CD13?!!!

Kittenkatzen · 20/08/2012 16:34

swimming unfortunately I have no tips at all for the 2ww, but can at least offer some companionship as I'm also on knicker patrol atm....ertd bfp due next Tuesday. Nothing to report as yet - have been prodding the boobage to see if they're sore, but no

StuckInTheFensAwayFromHome · 20/08/2012 16:48

Decided to pop back and catch up and am very pleased to see the BFP's - congrats all...

Horse I feel your pain - literally. For the first time ever I have a UTI as well and its been agony - ended up at the Walk In centre and its getting sorted out now with some antibiotics. Unfortunately I have the most disgusting medicine that makes me gag - but it seems to be working - have you tried anything? Its potassium citrate (or something like that) but it has stopped the burning pain. Unfortunately I think its come at the worst time in the month (bloomin typical) but I'm trying to be more chilled out about the whole TTC thing and only JS because I want to - not because I think it needs to be done to get PG. I say trying tho, because I don't think its working - I am broody as hell every time I see children, or even adverts/storylines on TV. Oh well, at least I feel better and its DP's birthday so we may need to have a 'gentle' JS tonight... (And def not the rampant sort that probably got me into this trouble in the first place)

Hello to all the new faces!!!! Hope your stay here is short and sweet!

swimmingnotdrowning · 20/08/2012 16:57

Thanks kitten that made me laugh! Knicker patrol indeed! Grin

And it sounds like 33's maths is mind-boggling - poor you.

AWomanCalledHorse · 20/08/2012 16:59

swimming & Kitten, good luck on knicker patrol! Let's hope you both get bfp's!

stuck, I get UTI's once a month or more (although none when pregnant!) so have a stash of potassium citrate, it is the most disgusting tasting thing on earth. 'Honeymoon' cystsis/uti after sex often enough will get Dr giving you a pill to take after sex to stop it...shall be getting the pills on Weds when I go back in for an update. So I'll be shagging like something!!
Have some lovely antibiotics & am necking water & cranberry juice like it's going out of fashion, 33, you can lead me to the water... Grin

Hope everyone has a great week.

OP posts:
Hooya · 20/08/2012 23:25

horse boo to UTI, I thought I was dying the first time I had one but then I am a hypochondriac. I hate drinking water too which doesn't help!

kitten and swimming good luck with knicker patrol ha ha - hope two more bfps are coming your way!

I don't know what to do. JSing last night and the night before, both resulted in bleeding afterwards, which then turns into brown / pinkish stuff, not enough for a tampon. If my cycle is as short as last month, I am due to ov this week, but don't see how if I keep bleeding Sad

I know I shouldn't say this, but I miss my pill!

AWomanCalledHorse · 21/08/2012 02:29

Hooya, if you're bleeding after every sex session it might be worth going to the Dr, to see if there is anything wrong. It could be a sign of a UTI (I swear I'm not obsessed with discussing them)!

I also have no idea why I am awake at 0230 when DS & DH are both snoring away. Gah!

OP posts:
ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 21/08/2012 13:34

OK. Just to continue the run of BFPs I got one too today!!

Not been on for a while because I wanted to really chill out this month. I thought I'd missed my chance this month with DD being in hospital over what I thought was my fertile weekend. BUT... I got a positive OPK test today (I've been doing them daily throughout my cycle this month) and it was positive. I read the other day that LH and HcG are almost identical so I did a test and got two lines! Just drove to the shop to get a CB digital and it says PREGNANT...trying not to get over excited but absolutely failing miserably.

Congratulations to all the BFP recipients this month - see you on the other side thread (btw which is the other thread?)

Good luck to everyone trying and hello/goodbye to all the newbies.

swimmingnotdrowning · 21/08/2012 13:46

Congrats guinea! That's great news.

Does anyone know how many BFPs that is on this thread? Horse said that we were due 7 on this thread - are we up to that yet or is there a spare or two left for the rest of us?

Kittenkatzen · 21/08/2012 13:47

omg Guiea thats amazing, congratulations! :o :o here is the grads thread link that's at the top of this one, assume it's still the same. Come back and visit us won't you!

hooya i second horse's suggestion about seeing a doc, sound nasty hope it goes soon!

Hooya · 21/08/2012 14:16

Hello all!

Woohoo congrats Guinea that's brilliant!! Grin

Thanks Horse and kitten (blimey it's like a farm around here with all the animal nicknames), I'm going to persist this week and go to docs next week if my bits don't start behaving! Bit of an anxious time, finding out whether after all these years on the pill I am actually not fertile after all... but it's early days and I must not indulge the mental!

notso I hope you're feeling better, but if not I am joining you for some Brew and sympathy, as I'm already thinking this is going to be a long haul...

Right, time to get DP off the PS3 and onto some, erm, me! Grin

AWomanCalledHorse · 21/08/2012 14:26

Guinea, there is a link to the grad's thread in the OP..I can't think of what it's called. Congrats!! Grin
With all these bfp's it's going to get lonely here...11, 11 BFP's (ha haha ala the count) on this thread (so far), swimming, we're eating into the next thread's stash!!

Sadly, it seems that two of the BFP's haven't resulted in successful pg (sorry if that offends anyone, I can't think of how to term it). :(
UTI is starting to clear up but I'm the meds until next week, my fertile period should be the end of this week, so I think I'm ooot

OP posts:
ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 21/08/2012 14:37

Thanks for the congrats all. It's obviously very early days so don't want to count my chickens etc. I rang the Drs and they booked me in for a midwife appointment on Thursday so not long to wait. My friend found out she was pg yesterday - must be something in the water!

Hooya · 21/08/2012 23:46

wow to 11bfps!

More JSing last night - that's 3 in a row Shock and no bleed after, so hopefully whatever that was is cleared up! We googled bleeding after JSing and one of the potential causes was 'rough sex' ha ha Blush

Hope everyone else (who is not already bfp) is having an ok 2ww / JSing / waiting for stents to be out!
