Sorry to go quiet again, had friend staying and we've been on a massive keep self busy marathon and trying to join in some olympic excitement as we missed out on tickets. Hyde Park open water swimming was fPree today and we followed that up with an IKea trip. V effectively keeping my mind of this horrible week. Lots going on on here in the meantime.
Belly so sorry to hear you're recovering from another mc, was my fifth too. I never thought I'd be saying that. I really hope the ERPC gives you some answers and glad you are feeling strong enough to start thinking about next steps.
LJ small victory for getting off the pred, can I ask how quickly you
weaned? Were you on 40mg? I have been told 5mg every four days and it will take me into September :-( I wasn't watching the thread when you went through your mc, just to say in solidarity, I'm so sorry. I hope you get some answers from the analysis.
pq along with the others, really hoping its just a false positive and your bub is sticking it out in there a while longer. Hope you are managing to take things quietly, not easy with a 3yo! How tough for you with the scare and having to get through that difficult anniversary, hope having your family staying has been helping you to rest. Btw I didn't have you down as a rower; synchronised swimmer maybe, dine out on that :) :)
Thanks for offering to draft a letter, that's sweet of you but you have enough on your plate. It wasn't the midwives or EPU I dealt with; the specialist midwife working with Mr S at Epsom has been fantastic. It was one A&E nurse that I came across who handled everything so badly. Aside from the massive mistake I have never had so little comfort or care straight after a mc. Almost trying conscientiously not to be sympathetic. Makes me so angry because kindness doesn't cost anything does it but it makes a world of difference. I suppose it's just an 'all in a day's work' thing.
DUGGS !!! Wasn't expecting that news, really hope over the next few days your line gets more and more liney! Everything crossed, really hopeful for you! Thanks for all the tests info, I am compiling quite a list now, although realistically we are priced out of quite a lot of them.
ari thanks for the testing info too. I think I will ask at my follow up at the end of September, which further tests he will authorise. I am NHS so doubtful but it's worth a shot.
cartoonface hi and welcome but so sorry to hear about your losses. The aspirin, vitamin, pregnacare schedule is for everyone and then he adds in steroids (and/or other drugs) at different doses depending on the NK levels they find in your blood tests which should come back in a few weeks - let us know how you get on.
kittens my moonface happens gradually from 6 weeks and then is very suddenly obvious during the weaning off period (what would have been 8/9/10wks) in true law of sod. Currently its quite pronounced. Hopefully by then you will be weaning off the steroids in better circumstances and will be too pleased to care! :) In the meantime, anyone hears of auditions for the next chipmunks movie, I'm perfect ;)
Hi to lurking busy mummy free give little DS a cuddle from his pred thread fans. All the babies still hope and inspiration for those like me back at the start of the road again.
