Well since I filled it thought if best start a new one! 1000 posts by June 3rd well done ladies!

I know, Kicking, but I can't change his mindset! I think he doesn't want to be used as a sperm bank...which I wouldn't, but I kind of understand his concerns!

And he wants DTD to keeps its enjoyment, not be just about baby making.

I don't have the energy for EOD really, but will try to keep the 3 times a week going! Almost the same.

me too. but even with a DH who wants ti.hump.permanently we have still been in this mode for over a year :)

NicolaHazel - my hubs is drinking way too much. 3 times a week he'll drink at least 7 cans :(. He has agreed to cut back to 5 cans once a week - and only on the weekends, never in the week. Last year we were not trying but not preventing for about 4 months and we didnt get our BFP. This year we've really gone for it so now he is seeing that perhaps his drinking is contributing to it? Also, his drinking leads to smoking too. Which then leads me to smoking! Because I do enjoy having one cigarette in the evening. So I've told if he cuts back on drinking, then he wont buy fags and then I wont smoke! Maybe see if your hubs will cut back to every other day?

I'm sad we argued about it but his excessive drinking has been going on for months! And we have a massive argument about it every other week :( I hate nagging him so I've made it less about TTC and more that I'm concerned for his health.

Kicking - which OV calcs do you use? I've got the period tracker lite app plus I messed around with the mumsnet one and the babycentre one last night, hence the different fertile weeks. My hubby is also desperate for a baby, I'm lucky in that respect, just need him to stop drinking!

Girls - weird CM today. Usually it is dry and I barely have any. Today its kinda watery? Could this be EWCM on CD30?! Usual cycles 27-35. Might DTD tonight just in case. Havn't DTD in a week - oops!

Ah, winkle, that's not great. FX you get a BFP now he's agreed to cut back.

I don't want to nag, so maybe I'll mention it as a health thing too. I just wish he'd have some willpower and not think he has to drink multiple cans just because we have it in the house, as I've no objection to the odd drink a few nights a week, I just don't see why he can't just have one and that's it! But I know he'll get defensive if I mention it, as I have made passing comment before.

But, as this is the first month of trying I'll cut him some slack for now. Some blokes manage to get their OH preggers whilst having real alcohol issues, so I won't bring it up for the time being. I'll hold it in reserve!

I'm no expert on CM / EWCM, but that could well be a good sign...I'd go for it anyway if it's been a week! :-)

nicolahazel - my hubs is the same. If there's booze in the house, he will drink it. Sooooo annoying! Although we have a bottle of Cava -classy- in he house and a can of Grolsch and he hasn't touched them so maybe we're turning a corner! I have no objection to the odd drink either, but my hubby is ridiculous - on a few occasions he's drunk about 10 cans and said it's because of the football or he's bored and it's over the course of an afternoon, etc.

So now I've given him an ultimatum - I told him I hate him drinking and I'm not being reasonable any more! No more 'cutting back', it's once a week and NO COMPROMISE.

Why do (some) men make it so hard? :-(

He just tells me not to buy it then he won't drink it, which is fair enough, I suppose, but I'm not saying don't drink, just drink less. I'm not sure why that's so hard to achieve? At least we've not got to 10 cans. I think 5 is generally the maximum on a weekend night and about 3 on a week night.

Hmmm...see how it goes and maybe just not buy it if he can't cut down if / when necessary.

Does your hubs drink every day? Mine doesn't, but he does binge I feel.

It's not a case of me not buying it cause he buys drink on the way home! Men hey?!

Yeah, it's thereabouts every day, though steady as opposed to binge drinking. Maybe at the level he's doing it, it won't have an effect, but why should I be the one doing all the right things, while he carries on regardless...surely procreating should be a team thing?

It might be worth working out the amount of units he's consuming. The guidelines for healthy living is supposed to be 21 units for men, 14 for us ladies.

I would say he's over the 21, to be honest, and it does worry me generally :-(

But I don't want to nag him, as he's a grown man and should know what he's doing!

I think I'll monitor it for a while and have a talk with him in a couple of months if I still think it's an issue.

Maybe start to mention it in relation to health and not TTC and see what he says. Good luck!

I have some weird on goings down there. I think I'm having a wtf cycle too.

My periods are like clockwork and OV around 14-16 days after normally. This time I was 3 days late with a very short 2-3 day AF bleed and it finished with mild spotting on CD 5. We dtd on CD6 as I was very wet and then on CD 7 had lots of watery CM which I thought could be sperm and CD8 had wet patches and lots of CM. today I am having a lot of leaky CM very wet and even stretched like EWCM. Can you ovulate this early after AF?

I have actually never seen this much CM... I can feel it coming out ??!!

Red defo possible remember kicking saying 70% of women ovulate before cd10 and after cd17? Throws out the 12 - 14 theory

Eeeeek must dtd tonight . I can't believe it's this early as cd8 and just 2 days after AF. Been googling and it is very much a possibility!

Ive not really got much news, ewcm has left the building but we're still DTD EOD just in case its my little egg is still wandering round a bit lost and confused up there.

Why not buy some alcohol free lagers, some of them are supposed to be pretty good, (I cant drink lager, im a wine, wine, wine and vodka girl) stick it in a glass and see if he notices the diff!!!

Looking good red, doing the Pinkle has clearly worked for her - make sure you do that tonight too - Ive w/pinkling like a trooper. Can only manage about 10 -15 mins tho, or il fall asleep like that!

red agree it's defo possible this early, also i think sometimes you can get ewcm a day of two prior to ov, kind of like a warning sign that it's imminent, so jump your DH immediately!!

Oh an on ribs suggestion about sneakily replacing the OH's beer with an alcohol free version - my DH is a fan of Becks Blue, reckons he can't tell the difference so could be worth a shot!

all my faint bfps have now turned into bfn im so upset i have been waiting along time like alot of others not as easy as conceving my dd oh well must try again

red I had very similar this month, thought I was ovulating just after my period. Anyway strange cramps went away and I think I ov around day 18, which is normal 4 me. So was DTD loads for about 2 weeks! 8 dpo now. Still don't know what was going on but I think two ovulations may be possible, though when that happens apparently both are usually a day or two apart, unlike here. Fx your cycle sorts itself out too.
