Have a wicked time littlemiss

Implantation actually only occurs in about 25-30% of women.

And af can arrive late for various reasons

A positive test is the most reliable symptom

oh and if you actually Google when the "early pregnancy symptoms" occur, they are all from about 4 weeks.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 03/06/2012 22:34

Have packed for hols, not sure what the wifi is like where we are going so I might miss a load of BFPs this week. [come on June BFPs for everyone]

I have packed 5 Internet cheapy hpt sticks and vitamins. In case I don't get a BFP have also got a mooncup and agnus castus ready to hand.

It feels like af is on her way already though (only 8dpo). I have a really achy back which is where I normally get af pain. Is probably just an achy back from cleaning the house today but it is alarming.

Pinkie29 · 04/06/2012 07:21

Ok I'm sitting on the loo shaking! Dp stayed out last night so he's not here, just done an Internet 10 (is it miu??) test and there's definite faint second line staring up at me!!!! Grin

Done an asda clear response and there's a very faint one on there too but prob not ad sensitive as Internet!

Any thoughts?? Evap lines?! False negatives? Oh man!!

OP posts:
Pinkie29 · 04/06/2012 07:31

I've done 5 tests now and it's there on all of them!! I'm trying to calm down tho as having a lot of af type pains so if I have conceived I'm preparing myself for a cp but at least I'll know I can (hopefully) conceive!

OP posts:
KickingUpQuestions · 04/06/2012 07:44

what colour are the lines? am thinking if they are clearly there as faint lines in the same colour as the control then its looking good :)

Pinkie29 · 04/06/2012 07:48

The same colour but very very faint, it looks like a fading opk test if that makes sense? I've come back to bed trying to calm down!

OP posts:
KickingUpQuestions · 04/06/2012 07:53

not sure about the af type pains but people have reported that for one day before af would have arrived

its not implantarion though as the hormones takea 5 days to show up in urine

it could just be your body making space?

i want to say comgrats Grin

KickingUpQuestions · 04/06/2012 07:58

pregnant people report af type pains before af should have arrived

just in case i wasnt clear :)

Pinkie29 · 04/06/2012 08:02

I said to dp maybe it's my womb getting ready, I'm ok now but no congrats yet please (thank you tho!!) want to wait until its a proper bfp Grin

Will test again 14dpo then if that's any clearer ill pick up a clearblue digital at the weekend

OP posts:
KickingUpQuestions · 04/06/2012 08:08

yeh i dont want to say congrats. not yet.

next go pick up a superdrug one and a clear blue digital :)

i will miss ylu though

Pinkie29 · 04/06/2012 08:14

Ate superdrug ones good? If I do go in sure ill be seeing you very soon on the other side Grin if anyone deserves a bfp it's you after all that effort!

OP posts:
KickingUpQuestions · 04/06/2012 08:18

superdrug is meant to be the most sensitive but most reliable.

its 10mui and clearblue is 20mui. cb though also gives a lot of room for error - its a lower sensitivity but they dont put that on the pack

have a read of www.poas.com

wishfulthinking1 · 04/06/2012 08:24

Congratulations pinkie! That sounds very positive! Now, no more peeing on sticks today- try to relax and have a nice day.

Well, I'm back- was on the very beginning of the thread with a BFP in may, I got to 7 weeks and am now miscarrying. Had some spotting so saw dr on Friday, booked a scan for Tuesday but have bled heavily with massive cramps over the last couple of days so have accepted that im miscarrying. Out of hours dr says I need to go to scan on Tuesday to check that all the 'products of conception' have gone :-(

Anyway, I really don't want to bring the mood down- it was good fun being on the may BFP thread and I really feel like I need something positive to focus on. Plenty of women concieve on their wtf cycle and here's hoping I'm one of them!

I'm counting yesterday as cd1 as that was when the heavy bleeding started and as soon as it stops we're going to dtd every other day (or maybe every third day) and more if I see ewcm and we shan't stop until I have a BFP again or AF turns up

Have a fab weekend lilmiss!
X

wishfulthinking1 · 04/06/2012 08:26

Cross post- sorry about congrats!! X

KickingUpQuestions · 04/06/2012 08:33

ah wishful am so so sorry

are you holding up ok?

Pinkie29 · 04/06/2012 08:34

Oh wishful Sad bless you (hugs) how awful, I hope your doing ok and pg again very soon!!

OP posts:
winkle2 · 04/06/2012 08:53

Sorry to hear that wishful :(

Whispering congratulations pinkie. Keep us posted.

Life's not great here at the moment :( Had a massive row with my husband yesterday about his drinking. Won't go into details as its not a thread about my hubby's drinking! But just wanted to check in with you guys. :)

redstrawberry · 04/06/2012 08:58

Ahh! This is where you all are Smile
I'm at the beginning of the cycle again - long time to wait to test again.

But surprisingly feeling not bothered by it all. Had an emotional chat with dh yesterday about my friends being pg and how I felt about it all and listening to them talk abt their early pregnancy symptoms was making me Sad. They are my beat friends and i love them to bits and i felt guilty for feeling so selfish and Envy But feeling a lot better now tht it's all out and hopin for a spring baby now.

wishful how are you... Big hug to you xx

redstrawberry · 04/06/2012 09:02

Best not beat! Bloody autocorrect

I hate it when they use awful words like 'products of conception'! Why does it have to be so technical and so insensitive - would it hurt them to describe it as something more human! Wishful hope you are okay Sad

Pinkie29 · 04/06/2012 09:14

It sounds so clinical Sad I know it's there job but those 'products' which we all were at some point would have been a much wanted and loved dc!!

OP posts:
winkle2 · 04/06/2012 09:44

Agree pinkie :)

OpenMindedSceptic · 04/06/2012 10:15

wishful I am very sorry to hear about your mc Sad Hope that you are coping ok.
pinkie fingers crossed for you!

I.ve done another test this morning and it failed! No line in the control window. Think I pissed on it too long Confused
Will try again tomorrow.

Pinkie29 · 04/06/2012 10:56

Open - I always piap (pee in a pot) and dip the sticks, I once managed to pee all over the seat and down my leg oh the shame!

OP posts:
QueenOfTheDrama · 04/06/2012 10:58

wishful I'm so sorry to hear about your mc. Keeping everything crossed for you that you're pg again very soon.

red I'm the same, I'm happy for my pg friends but its hard not to be a little bit Envy because you really want it to be you!

pinkie fx! Smile

forgetmenots · 04/06/2012 11:07

I don't want to say congrats yet pinkie but everything crossed for a full on BFP very soon!

Wishful that's so sad. I agree with pinkie, I understand it's their job but to describe it like that is really unpleasant. :(

WhenSheWasBad - enjoy your holiday, relaxation can't be anything but a help! And if there's no BFP for either of us next time we can be cycle buddies next month!
