You can't ovulate twice in a cycle.

If you have POAS, you may get increased CM all month but it's not necessarily on time with OV. Hump anyway. Ensure you hump EOD to make sure you catch the right fertile CM though

You can be OV already. Hence humping from start to finish because it's RARE that you will "catch" OV. You increase your chances by not trying to cheat nature and just humpalot from end of AF to start of AF.

Because OPK's pick up the LH surge but you can still drop the egg days later.

That's why it's a money making racquet because there really is NO way that you can tell when the egg drops. You can tell that it may drop sometime in the next week but nothing is foolproof.

I tested the next day, same time, etc, and no smiley - doesn't that mean I ovulated?

OPKs pick up the LH surge. Which means that you're ovulating. However, ovulating doesn't mean that you have released the egg. THAT is something that no one can predict.

So ovulating is all the symptoms but the egg dropping is a separate incident. It may happen shortly after, but anything can disrupt that and it may happen 3 days later.

Winkle - me and DH hav prob both been having a few too many drinkies over last 5 days, he hashad the longest b'day celebrations ever!!

I thibk I OV a week ago but I am.def notpoas early this cycle so still hav a week to wait til I can test. Def dont 'feel' pg this.month but I know that doesnt meam anything. Hopefully Im implamting as I type

I think we will be carrying on with the humpages EOD till AF arrives now.

I have woken up today, feeling weird about ttc. I had gone a bit OTT with planning and symptom spotting madness in the first cycle. Now feeling a lot calmer and just not fussed. Que sera sera...!

Yeh red - I found that I've focused so much energy into things I can't control (like OV or temps or implantation) and forgotten to focus on the things I CAN control - like humpalot! The humping plan means that all my focus has been taken away from the things I can't control and into the things I can.

My thirst is awful. Trying to get through to the doc to arrange a test.

It's not even worth it to POAS. I wake up every hour at night, raging thirst and needing to pee. So urine won't be diluted enough anyway.

Will see what happens around AF arrival time.

And I LOVE milk. I am now drinking milk by the pint!

Hope you get the appt booked soon. How much water do you get through a day?
I never used to drink any water before - hated the stuff. But last month I started drinking the recommended 2.5L of water a day, and now if I don't drink that amount everyday I find myself getting very thirsty and craving it. It's like the body quickly got used to constant hydration!

I feel much better when not focusing on symptoms or trying to spot cramps and twinges that dont really exist. And yes POAS is def not worth it. From last month experience where I wasted money three -ve FRER I have decided to not buy any and just wait till AF is late. This time I am going to wait till 5 days after AF due.

Also I realized I have been counting my cycle days all wrong for the last year or so I thought CD1 was the day you begin spotting, when in reality its the day you have full bleed. So re-'programmed' the dates in my fertility app.
Just to be sure wise ladies - Is the last day of AF when you finish the full on bleed or spotting? I have dark brown spotting till day 7 before it completely stops.

I always count the last day of full on bleeding as the end....normally get spotting for a day or two after that. Although, my AF is normally really quite light anyway so it can be hard to tell.

Anyways, it's the first day of full on bleeding that really matters when tracking these things I believe :)

I get through about 5L - 6L of liquid a day. The other day, we bought a 5L water thing at 7pm that night and I'd finished it by 9am the next day. I used to drink 2 - 3L with no problems but it wasn't like I needed it. My mouth jams shut now if I don't drink. This is literally the last two months.

Yep I know what you mean about the whole thing with the testing and the symptom spotting. It's a complete waste of time, money and energy. And we really do torture ourselves.

I was counting mine wrong as well. I thought you just counted like "On this day, second day is number one" but I tend to spot a bit and it gets heavier that day. I thought CD1 was the day you started, full stop. Well - that's what someone on here said.

Either way, all I do now is plug in my details onto the OV calculator. Then I add a few more days to my cycle and work out the fertile week. Then I do my normal days and work out the fertile week. Then I humpalot the whole time just in case

I agree leaving apps and dates aside the best way to be sure is just to humpalot.

I had been counting even the AF end date wrong in that case.
I guess I have a really short AF then 3-4 days max.
Will try preseed next month if AF shows up. I am really not optimistic and already planning for ttcing in July

That is a lot of water indeed. Hope you get to see the docs soon - probably nothing to worry, but just to be on the safe side.

I am doing preseed and evening primrose oil next cycle.

Plus we both got online fertility tests just in case. Checking my PH as well and doc may as well do some blood tests to make sure everything is ok.

I hope it's something simple that won't get in the way of TTC.

kicking When are you due? I know my cycle started the same as yours but I have no idea what day im on. (how relaxed am I! Beaming at my laidbackness!!) I think I ov'd over the weekend due to ewcm so will test next weekend if af not arrived. Just enjoying DTD EOD and Winkle-Pinkling that im losing trace of time. Plus my phones knackered and ive had to send it back and my life is on that phone!! Ggggrrr

Agree with kicking you cant ov twice, you can release 2 eggs or more at once, hence twins etc. But not at serparate times. I checked this as a few months ago the same happended to me. EWCM and faint positive ov stick around day 7/8, only to actually ov later in the month. Bodys are wierd things!

HA ribs - I am in the same boat. I am on CD22 I think. But I have NO idea when I should have OVed. I extended my cycle to 32 days and I should be able to catch an OV if I am supposed to OV late. We've DDT the whole time apart from Monday and Tuesday so will do it again tonight. But like you - I have NO idea where anything is. It's good.

I was going to test this morning but realised it wouldn't make a difference anyway so will probably leave testing this month.

Ah! so even though I had EWCM last night, I could still OV later in the month. Bodies are weird things... but I guess seeing as my 1 years worth of tracking cycles has been such a flawed attempt of recording info I am just going to now enjoy humping with CM or without!

Well you've more than likely OVed but you may be releasing the egg now. OR if you have PCOS, you just get more EWCM randomly throughout the cycle that isn't fertile.

So ladies, AF was due on Mon/Tue night. No sign of it yet. Tested just now and got a BFN! With DD I got BFP the second I peed on the stick though AF was not even due for a couple of days.

Guess I'll just have to wait a couple of days and test again -just hoping AF will stay away!
