hey ladies,

There are a few of us who are ttc after mc's, however there will be ladies out there who are also ttc for the first time or second or third without success. If anyone is on, considering or had success on a super ovulation programme then do join us. How long did it take ? Did you try IUI with it.. ? Did you have PCOS?

Kicking this off and hoping some of you will join....

Mel what time is your appointment Monday and is it at Harley St? Smile oh god just read about your mum am so sorry and hope she recovers quickly.

Mr S gives you clexane when you do ivf but not the rest of the time which I don't really understand. I got mine from Boots and four weeks worth cost me £180 so shop around!

Oh wow Rainbows another bfp!! Hope all these positives rub off in those of us left. Smile

Mel3062 · 28/09/2012 19:04

Thanks duggs I know!!
Just read my message and it's awful bloody phone! I mean I have to rush to Coventry!
I know her first stroke has left her with just tunnel vision and very frail :( hopefully wel all get good news soon x

Mel3062 · 28/09/2012 19:05

Pebbles my scan is at a private centre near home at Leeds it's at 8.20 so itl be good to see if the progynova is helping x

Pebbles73 · 28/09/2012 20:38

Oh ok didn't realise you lived there, good luck hope it has helped. Mine isn't until 4:20pm.

Mel3062 · 28/09/2012 20:55

Thanks good luck to you too. Progynova seems to make me itch and have awful bruises :/

Arianrhod · 28/09/2012 21:40

mel So very sorry to hear about your mum, I hope she recovers really quickly.

duggs Def. don't count me in the 'pregnant' group yet, not at least until I know if this is a real pregnancy or yet another bl00dy CP. I'm struggling to hold to my resolution not to test again until Mon when I will be 16dpo (ish) .. that nagging voice at the back of my head keeps insisting Sun would be late enough for the line to have got stronger if it's going to but truthfully I'm scared what I will see, so I am trying to hold out!

Arianrhod · 28/09/2012 21:44

pebbles Mr S told me they use clexane in IVF because it helps the embryos to implant, but he doesn't think it worth giving for even homozygous MTHFR. Louise just sent me a prescription for 4 weeks' worth, I just hope I won't have started it too late whenever I can get it, although again a part of me says don't bother buying it till I see what the next FRER comes back with.

Chasinrainbows · 28/09/2012 22:46

mel I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. My dad had a massive stroke 12 yrs ago. It's a very cruel thing to happen to anyone. Hope she's recovering ok.

duggs I've been trying this time round since Jan.Last mc was last nov @16 wks. Been on pred for 4 cycles and on SO for 2. Was scanned on day 9 this time and had 2 follicles 22mm and 18. That was after letrozole was upped to 7.5mg this cycle. Dtd on days 10,12,13 as instructed .... Added in day 15&17 for fun :) currently very early days .... 3+6

kittens I think you're right about the testing. Going to try not to use that last digi although I can't bring myself to bin it

Ari fingers are crossed that all stays well for you and you get that scan In a couple of weeks. I know how anxious you must feel.

Hope there's more BFP's to come soon.xxx

Havingkittens · 29/09/2012 00:28

mel, sorry to hear about your mum. I hope she makes a good recovery. What a week you've had!

Fingers firmly crossed for you two, ari and rainbows.

After a rather tense afternoon of waiting I got my CVS results at the very end of the day. They know how to keep you on the edge of your seat! HUGE relief to get confirmation that there are no signs of the most common chromosome abnormalities or cystic fybrosis. They will send me results of further tests in a couple of weeks but these are for things that are very rare to they say the chances of any other problems are unlikely. I shall try and relax a bit until my anomaly scan. Now I have to let the information filter through that I am actually pregnant and may well end up having a baby.

duggs1976 · 29/09/2012 06:51

Such a relief kittens so pleased for you. Grin come and help with this "list" now so we ttc bunch on SO can be inspired ?Wink

Abney · 29/09/2012 07:41

Hi all. Holldoll sorry to hear about your chemical. I think we all know what's it's like to lose them so early.

Ari keeping my fingers crossed for you that your BFP stays a BFP. I know how excited you must feel but at the same time how nervewrecking it is. In regards to the scans they did book me at 7 weeks and I said 7 weeks was too early. I didn't want to see the heartbeat and then at another scan nothing. They said that due to the drugs that I was taking that I would need a scan at 7 weeks. As Dr S had his training brought forward they tried to book me with DR G but I took my chance then and said I didn't want it and could I change it to 8 weeks so that if successful I can have the intralipids straight away afterwards. I managed to get my way in the end. I am with you in regards to early scans. All they do is cause pain when you see the heartbeat and then the next week nothing. My last mc reached 8.5 weeks but this is the furthest I have got apart from DS and 1 chromosone issue.
Chasingrainbows again congratulations on your BFP. First hurdle ticked.

Duggs still have my fingers crossed for you.

Mel I hope your mum is OK.

Jaffa again congrats on your scan results. What a relief.

jaffajiffy · 29/09/2012 07:51

kittens I was waiting for that news! Now you can start to come out of the fog of the first trimester with all its uncertainty and painful memories and, oh, start thinking about things like maternity clothes and getting a bump and (maybe not yet) childbirth options! I'm a couple of days into this new feeling of being 'properly pregnant' with hardly any no caveats, and it's very strange. Good, but strange. How lovely after all you've been through! Did you find out the sex?

ari how's the mentalling going? Don't you wish we had hcg tests every day? Here's to a calm weekend and a good session on Monday.

rainbows sounds like you're on track. Word to the wise re. cb digis: the good thing is the word 'pregnant' flashing up on the screen. But whatever you do don't do the test unless you didn't pee in the night and it's the first morning urine. I did it in the middle of the day, it went down from 3+ to 2-3, and the rest of the day I was in tears thinking I was going to miscarry. They mess with your mind! But I still did them (job lot on Amazon) because I hate peering at lines to see if it's darker/lighter, etc.

mel I'm sorry to hear about your mum, and the rabbit too! What a time of it you're having. Sending every good wish for your mum's speedy recovery.

duggs I'll have a go at your list now. I've added my previous 'batch' of super OV

Kittens - bfp cycle 14 - SO cycle 5 - 12+2
Jaffajiffy - BFP SO cycle 1 - 13w. Previously bfp on SO cycle 5 - m/c at 10w chromosome issue. Borderline HNKC

Who's next?

Pebbles73 · 29/09/2012 11:37

Mel I forgot to say sorry about your rabbit I have two cats who I adore so can understand how upsetting it is. Hopefully it will be your turn for some good news this cycle.

Kiitens fab news and hope you can start to enjoy being officially pregnant now, you too Jaffa. Grin

Duggs have you done anymore tests?

Arianrhod · 29/09/2012 11:48

kittens What fantastic news!! So pleased and relieved for you, you can hopefully now start to relax a bit and finally get to enjoy being pregnant .. and hopefully this good news can alleviate some of the other pressure you're under. Couldn't be more pleased :)

abney Well done you for holding out for the scan when you want it, and fingers crossed all goes well for you on Tuesday. I know what you mean about not feeling pregnant but take heart from all the ladies here who have said the symptoms only really kick in once they wean off the Pred.

Trying v hard to forget about lines and tests here till Monday morning, although my bbs are constantly sore (but they are always like that up to AF anyway). AF was due today so I suppose I count as 4 weeks at the mo, although also trying not to mentally start counting dates. Trying to keep busy doing things so I can forget all about it until a more appropriate time.

/waves to all,, hope you're enjoying some sunshine.

Mel3062 · 29/09/2012 12:21

Thank you ladies xx fingers crossed you certainly all keep my positivity going!!

BellyD · 29/09/2012 16:35

mel I hope your mum is ok and getting all the help she needs for her recovery. Poor you, what a lot you have going on.

Kittens you must be relieved, I am so happy for you. It doesn't seem very long since your bfp, but I am sure for you it seems like ages.

Congrats chasinrainbows on your bfp. Good week for bfps. Duggs are you next to test? Fingers crossed.

Ari hope your resolve not to test is holding up. Much easier said than done, I know. On the whole clexane thing, the injections are not too bad at all. The first couple are a bit odd (not natural to stick a needle in your tummy) but you soon get used to them. They are no where near as bad as the Pred in my opinion. Also if you go to your GP with your prescription they may convert to an NHS one which will reduce the cost hugely. My GP was happy to do that for me.

Arianrhod · 30/09/2012 09:19

Morning ladies .. Well ok, so I cracked and tested this morning. 15dpo(ish) and the line is only the merest fraction stronger than it was 3 days ago, and still not as strong as the control line.

In three days we all know that hCG should have more than doubled, so now I don't know if I am indeed facing yet another CP, but I guess it's likely. And now I have the dilemma yet again - do I throw away yet another £350 I don't have on intralipids, and do I bother with the Clexane? If money were no object I wouldn't mind, but I just don't have that much money to waste.

Here I am again, same problem and same likely outcome. I just don't know what is the right thing to do.

jaffajiffy · 30/09/2012 15:38

ari have you had faint lines before with a previous CP? I'm inclined to say "pregnant until proven otherwise" and go for it, but it IS a lot of money if you have good reason to think it's a cp. could you do a digital one tomorrow rather than stressing about strength of lines? I think you're anti digital though, unlike me Smile. If this pg doesn't work, you'll try again, right? If not, I'd definitely hang the cost and go for it, but if you'd rather spend £350 on a definite line either for this or a future pg, that's understandable.

So, not much help - sorry.

jaffajiffy · 30/09/2012 15:39

Just like to add a line is a line, too Grin

Arianrhod · 30/09/2012 15:49

Thanks jaffa - I've always had fainter lines than this with my CPs but with my 'real' pregs the lines have always got darker within a couple of days. I'm pretty sure if I do a Digi it will say pregnant - but I've always got this with my CPs too so it won't prove anything. I'm not sure if we will try again if this fails, as OH has said once SO ends we go back to the 'if it happens it does, if it doesn't then so be it' approach.

Reading around it seems almost everyone says if the lines don't get darker after 3 days at this stage then it almost always turns out to be a chemical but I just don't know. I guess it's the most likely outcome, I just wish I knew one way or the other.

Arianrhod · 30/09/2012 15:51

I should say also, I've had digis go up to 2-3 weeks pregnant on a CP previously, which is why I don't use them now!

Mel3062 · 30/09/2012 18:01

Cashing rainbows I just wondered why you didn't dtd on day 11?
Having scan tomorrow day 11 and oh is away overnight day 12 so wondering what mr s will suggest.
My daughters 18 today which is making it all the more worse :( x

Chasinrainbows · 30/09/2012 21:27

mel I used hgc shot on day 11 and as Dr S said dtd days 10,12&13 I thought there may be a reason not to dtd on that day. Good luck with your follicle scan tomorrow :)

Ari my tests didn't get much darker but they're Internet cheapies. Digi went up 2-3 weeks about 13/14dpo but not reading too much into it either. Still on knicker watch though.

Thanks and waves to everyone xxx

Arianrhod · 30/09/2012 22:14

Well Louise has said not to have the intralipids but go for an hCG test and when it's repeated, if it's rising to have intralipids then. So I guess she's not too hopeful either :(

Pebbles73 · 30/09/2012 22:36

Sorry you are having a bit if a mare Ari, I have had a chemical with a really strong line and one with a very weak one so I think you never can tell what us going to happen. Sounds like a good idea to have the hcg test, don't assume it's because Louise isn't hopeful it's probably just because you are unsure about having the intralipids. I have everything crossed for you.x

Hope all ok with you Duggs.
