Right I'm going to be bold and start a new thread to drum up some energy for anyone ttc a Jan / Feb / Spring 2013 baby.

Does anyone want to join me on this flight?

Thanks lbot and flightty (and again to the other ladies) he seems miles better already. He's back to being a little dictator. Hurrah!

blackcats you are not doing my diet any favours with all those delicious cakes. And neither are you with the Wine wineoclock :o

treats no words that can help you my lovely but second what limeleaf has aptly said. I hope the time goes as well as it can in the circumstances

pipbin hope the weigh in goes well. You seem to have made a huge effort with your running so hope it all pays off. Sorry if you've already said, but what's the next stage?

Looking forward to the first Poas results from baba and silentmammoth on Friday. Fx.

Pipbin · 02/05/2012 22:24

As typical I say here no spotting, and lo, there was spotting.

Crazy I'm not sure what happens next. I've had more checks that normal as I had a cervical cancer scare in the summer and therefore had all kinds of scans and tests which showed that I have all the bits I should (although there was a scary moment when the lady doing the scan said 'do you have both your ovaries?') and a fibroid in there for good measure.
As far as they can tell, I'm OK and DH has twice the required number of swimmers but only half of them are heading the right way. However, it has to be me who is referred regardless!

LimeLeafLizard · 02/05/2012 23:08

Pipbin will be thinking of you on Friday. Hope the weigh in goes well and that you get referred appropriately.

Crazy glad DS is better.

I've been trying to remember what CM is like in pregnancy, too. You'd think it would be memorable, but it isn't. I vaguely remember there being more than usual, and lotiony. But maybe I have just made that up? Who is going to ask over on the pregnancy board, then?!

OP posts:
LimeLeafLizard · 02/05/2012 23:19

Just googled without much success but found an old thread on netmums. Posters who had tested +ve seemed to think their CM was white and creamy.
Couple of similar comments from searching on here too.

babaloulou · 03/05/2012 07:11

So sorry to hear that mammoth i've woken this morning a little moist (tmi) so think she is on the way today :-(

So who is testing next week? X

blackcatsdancing · 03/05/2012 08:02

i can answer the CM question, i had copious white creamy (but not really thick) CM. However i cant say it started the day i discovered i was pregnant, it kind of built up, probably as a result of preggers hormones increasing. anyway no time to read and comment on all as work today and urgh my late shift. Hope everyone has a good day.

Flightty · 03/05/2012 09:29

Mammoth I'm sorry xx good luck next month though.

Crazy that is really good news Smile

Limey I just wanted to say, thankyou for the offer but no, don't bung me on the stats, I think I just got a line.

bit shocked
Smile

about the cm thing, I've had a lot the last few days, white, yes like hand lotion or something. I wondered what was up with that.!

LimeLeafLizard · 03/05/2012 09:37

Mammoth I'm sorry you're out. Hopefully your DH will be around a bit more next month to up the chances.

baba still have fx for you, hope AF stays away.

Flightty can we just clarify - are you saying you got a BFP?!

OP posts:
Flightty · 03/05/2012 09:39

I think so.

it is v v faint indeed but the camera's picking it up.

So I'm sort of in limbo here.

Flightty · 03/05/2012 09:40
Flightty · 03/05/2012 09:41

It's ironic that the one time in your life you need a gin, you're not allowed to have one!

LimeLeafLizard · 03/05/2012 09:44

Hey that is wonderful news... a faint line is still a line!

I know what you mean about limbo though - you'll probably have to wait a couple of days and test again a few more times to feel sure and confident.
All the same, congratulations!

LimeLeafLizard · 03/05/2012 09:46

Here, Flightty, sit down and have a Brew with sugar to help get over the shock!

OP posts:
Flightty · 03/05/2012 09:49

Thankyou pet I needed that! I won't actually have one though as I nearly threw up in the car earlier. I hope this is not the morning sickness starting early...!

I might go and get an FRER in a bit, have to go out anyway...do you know if they are more sensitive? Think these are around 10 miu, so probably not is it?

It's only 9dpo so it ain't gonna be a bfp, it'll be a ttp or teeny tiny positive Smile

Thankyou though
Oh goodness

LimeLeafLizard · 03/05/2012 09:57

I haven't yet understood relative sensitivity of different tests so not sure. Honestly I think waiting two more days to re-test is a good idea but then I am the trigger happy test waster who POAS at 7 dpo so what the hell do I know?!

I'm off out myself now, but stay calm and have a good day! Smile

OP posts:
Flightty · 03/05/2012 11:50

Thanks Smile

Trying to stay calm...I got an Earlybird one from sainsburys, thinking, Oh well, might be interesting and it's come up a clear positive. Which is odd as the internet ones are meant to be 10 and this is apparently 25miu.

Hmm. I'm going out to find DP at work and show him, can't wait till tonight Smile

Good luck everyone who's testing this week xxx

Treats · 03/05/2012 11:59

Ooh Flightty - congrats! A line is a line, you know. Defo test again in a day or two to be sure, but that's really great news. Why don't you get an FRER for tomorrow morning - there's no real point testing again today because you'll get a better result with FMU. So pleased for you!

I can definitely confirm the 'lotiony' CM in pregnancy, btw.

Just done my first OPK - was an interesting juggle in the work loos (and I will have to get a better receptacle for collecting the sample) but it seemed to go OK. The test line was a bit fainter than the control line, but I'll have another go this evening and see what I get.

Thanks for your messages about the weekend. I think it's the prospect that's worse than the actual event is going to be. As soon as we've had the first meeting I'm sure it will be fine. The mum is a lovely person and I'm sure she'll be sensitive - I didn't really mean that I hate her Blush. I hate the fact that my little boy isn't here........

Treats · 03/05/2012 12:01

x-posted - that's great news about the follow up test. Have a wonderful day!

babaloulou · 03/05/2012 12:19

flightly congratulations great news xx

Crazytictac · 03/05/2012 12:38

Sorry silentmammoth. Have a Wine

flightty that is brilliant news! If there is a line this early then bodes well. Congratulations! :o

Flightty · 03/05/2012 13:32

Thankyou so much girls and especially Treats. I don't know the full story, but I am so, so sorry about your little boy.

I hope it wasn't insensitive to post about my result today. And if you or anyone else here wants a bag of OPKs and HPTs then say so and I'll PM you, I want them to go to one of you guys if they're any use to you.

although saying that WHY are they so faint when the sainsbos one is full on, I have no idea Smile

babaloulou · 03/05/2012 15:25

treats thinking of you. We lost our little boy last year and my friend had her dd the same day. I am sure you are stronger than you think and just be honest with your friend if you find it too hard. I promised myself and my friends i would be honest and think it helped everyone's expectations. Big hugs xx

Flightty · 03/05/2012 17:04

I'm really sorry Baba, that must have been awfully hard xx
