Right I'm going to be bold and start a new thread to drum up some energy for anyone ttc a Jan / Feb / Spring 2013 baby.

Does anyone want to join me on this flight?

OP posts:
babaloulou · 03/05/2012 17:10

flightly It is very sad and we will never forget him.

babaloulou · 03/05/2012 17:17

Now my will power is being tested. My first response tests arrived this afternoon!! I've put them away and will wait till tomorrow morning.... Promise.
I have a dilemma? We want to keep any bfp a secret but i am rubbish. If i test tomorrow and get a bfp i will find it hard not to let a little smile slip to my friends in the afternoon.
Oh i am torn do i wait till Saturday!!!

Flightty · 03/05/2012 17:25

Oh Baba I understand...you're tougher than me, I was going to wait till tomorrow as well but I'm hopeless Smile

And I went straight to tell DP at his work, which I shouldn't do normally, but his mates said 'someone's here to see you' and I said to him, it isn't just me. And he looked around and said 'who?' and so I said, you're going to be a daddy Smile

Neither of us can believe it, I'm not telling my folks yet as they will get super worried, and it was SO hard not to let on to people at school this afternoon!

There are a few other pregnant mums there and new babies as well and I don't know how I will keep it quiet.
I'll be waiting for you to post tomorrow...can you get your other half to hide the tests somewhere, or do you have the willpower? Smile

babaloulou · 03/05/2012 17:32

flightly that's a lovely story of telling your dp. Really happy for you.
When i found out with dd i wrapped the test in pink and blue tissue paper and woke dh up at 1am on his birthday to give him his present. I had to keep it quite for 2 days!!

babaloulou · 03/05/2012 17:33

I just keep saying to myself if its a bfn will you believe it? If the answer is no then don't do it!

Flightty · 03/05/2012 17:39

That's a good way of deciding when to test! I'm just a sucker for science experiments...you know, like scratching all the silver off a lottery ticket, or those magic painting books....wee on something and it changes colour, WOW Grin

How on earth did you keep it quiet for two days though! I did feel like it wasn't the best moment, today, but I couldn't imagine when would be a good moment iyswim. I sort of still don't believe it at all. And he said the right things and so on but he doesn't believe it either! Oh dear. Totally in denial till the horrible sickness starts I think. That'll be in about 2 or 3 weeks.

Flightty · 03/05/2012 17:40

That was a brilliant birthday present for your DH Grin

babaloulou · 03/05/2012 17:42

I was away with work so that helped ;-)

Pipbin · 03/05/2012 21:00

Congratulations Flighty

Wiggy29 · 03/05/2012 21:29

Treats- thinking of you and your family.

Flighty- you just made my night! What wonderful news! This new sleigh is the bomb!

lastboxoftampons · 03/05/2012 21:48

Congratulations, Flighty wonderful news Smile and great reveal for our DP.

babaloulou so sorry to hear about your little one Sad my fingers are crossed for you.

Silentmammoth Sad so sorry about AF. But let's be buddies again this month.

Treats thinking of you this weekend. I know it's hard. It's not the same but both my brother and DH's brother had babies the same month that our first pregnancy was due (I had a mmc at 11 weeks after seeing a hb on an early scan around 6.5 weeks). I wasn't pg again until after they were born. I love my nieces but sometimes I can't help but look at thm and wonder what if Sad. Anyway, I hope you can have some fun despite sad circumstances. If not, then drink heavily Smile

Nothing going on here on CD3 ho hum

EmpireBiscuit · 03/05/2012 21:51

Flighty - what fabulous news, the reindeer can officially come off the naughty step.

Treats - thinking about you.

Baba - I am liking your POAS mantra, I will follow from now on and won't test at 5/6DPO again next month

MummyNickleby · 03/05/2012 22:07

Hi ladies, I've been lurking due to "performance" issues with DH Blush

It was his birthday this week and we erm did it doggie style tried a different position, and he lasted the usual amount of time Wink

So I fully expect AF sometime next week but hope to use sticks for ovulation next time and will use that position again Wink

MummyNickleby · 03/05/2012 22:09

Congrats Flighty Grin

And I'm so sorry to those who've lost a LO, can not begin to imagine what you e been through

LimeLeafLizard · 03/05/2012 22:26

Phew Empire I am glad you said that. I was beginning to think I was the only fool wasting sticks a week after ov. Baba I admire your restraint!

Glad the position change did the trick for your DH, MummyNick! Hope it works better this month.

As you say, it is impossible to imagine what it must be like to loose a baby. Sadly I know a few people in RL who have been through this. I hope this thread is supportive, so baba, treats, tell us what you need.

I am bored of this 2ww. How soon can I test again?! 9dpo today, and I am madly taking my temperature every couple of hours - pointlessly of course - panicking that it might have gone down.

Congrats again, Flightty, hope you'll stick around for a while yet as reality sets in (it will soon) and to keep us all company. It bodes well for the sleigh to have your BFP but if you leave us I'll miss you!

asianbabe · 03/05/2012 22:32

Well done flighty that's excellent news

babaloulou · 04/05/2012 06:55

Well i had a spotting last night so guess the witch will be with me today.

Goodluck to you all.

As i'm early to test my next edd would be 7th Feb. Do i qualify to stay on the sleigh?

Whose next to test?

SilentMammoth · 04/05/2012 07:01

Oh baba no!
Just logged on to see what the results were for you. I'm really sorry, but maybe the red witch hasn't sung yet?

I was goin to hang around on this thread too; at least until we all move en masse to another thread if that's OK?

EmpireBiscuit · 04/05/2012 07:09

Acht baba that is pants.

lime it was just staring at me from (through the cupboard door) so I felt it couldn't be ignored. Waste of money.

Repeat after me "I will not pee until I will believe the answer".

What do we all think of night sweats? A sign? Or a symptom spot?

Flightty · 04/05/2012 07:11

Thankyou girls, it means an awful lot as just me and DP know so far...not telling my family or the kids yet. So you guys are my wimmin Smile

Lime, I know it's not protocol but I'm only 10dpo now so it's possible to get a result at 9dpo...not that I'm trying to tempt you astray Smile

I was testing every day and then I had a low temperature on 8dpo, really low like 36.97 when it's been in the 37.20s, and I got a lot of cramps that night and the next morning (yesterday) it was still really low, so I figured it was implantation but how weird to get a strong positive yesterday. I still don't understand that...unless I ovved on day 10 and not day 13, but that was before the OPK so seems unlikely.

Anyway when you do test I hope it is good news, I shall be waiting for the next BFP as it's a bit lonely on this big old sledge Grin

Baba I am sure you can be happily accommodated with a Feb due date, half the sales don't even finish till about April Smile

Good luck my gorgeous girls x

blackcatsdancing · 04/05/2012 09:24

congratulations flightty

treats my thoughts are with you for this weekend

baba i think there are several of us who are early on in our cycles. I think mine would be due 2nd Feb (if i conceive). I'm CD9.

limeleaf good luck with testing. I am having internet problems at home so not always possible to get online, awaiting new router in the post. Very annoying as i love keeping up with everyone's news. just saying in case i don't reply for days, grr bank holiday too ,hang on that means no work monday though :)

well nothing to report yet, only slight change has been i've having more cm since taking 50mg of B6 daily. I cant see what else it could be that's causing it, and it seemed to work almost immediately. Whether it helps me have eggwhite CM is another matter. Last month the best i could manage was watery (which is ok). Just a shame that I miss that sign of approaching fertility.

oh and test were done a week ago today so i shall ring surgery later today to see if i can get results over the phone.

LimeLeafLizard · 04/05/2012 09:41

baba hope spotting doesn't develop into AF, but if it does, please do hang around here. I think it is worth keeping the thread timescales open as everyone has different length cycles and is at different stages in their cycle.

Empire not sure about the night sweats. I've never heard of them being a symptom, but I suppose it could be due to your temp being higher, so possibly...

I have been feeling quite queasy this morning but I don't seem to remember morning sickness until about week 6 before, so I think I am just wishful thinking.

Thanks for the encouragement Flightty. I had a big temp dip at 6dpo this cycle (below the coverline) and now my temps are higher than usual post ov (I think... of course I can't check because of my lost data... grr).

Thing is, all these signs will probably just get my hopes up and make it a bigger disappointment when AF does arrive.

DH and I are out for a meal tonight with SIL and DBro - the techie one - so after a glass of wine I might get the courage to ask him about trying to restore my spreadsheet!

X post Blackcats... good luck with test results later. Glad Vit b is improving things.

Hi all

I just had some spotting, 7DPO - oooh could it be a sign?

Sorry about AF visiting some of you ladies. And very sad to hear about the losses. I can't imagine how horrible that would be. Take care.

I'm about to head off for the long weekend with DH and the inlaws (eeek!)
Should I take some HPTs with me of wait til I get back on Tuesday (11DPO)? Hmmm...

Limeleaf I cracked up at the thought of you taking your temp every two hours! that's hilarious!

Squirrel77 · 04/05/2012 10:24

that should be 'OR wait til I get back...' Grin
