Right I'm going to be bold and start a new thread to drum up some energy for anyone ttc a Jan / Feb / Spring 2013 baby.

Does anyone want to join me on this flight?

Pipbin · 02/05/2012 07:49

Best way I've found, after a number of experiments to tell the difference between swimmers and EWCM is that swimmers are absorbed by the toilet paper and EWCM is not. Just leave it on the loo roll for 30 seconds after wiping.

babaloulou · 02/05/2012 08:33

Can i join you girls?
I'm currently 12dpo and 2 days late. Waiting for first response tests to come through the post to test. Surprisingly i'm being patient about the whole thing. I'm 70/30 that i am not although there is no sign of af yet. Edd would be 7th Jan 2013.

Babaloulou ttc #3 af due 30th April

mammoth eagerly awaiting your poas results

babaloulou · 02/05/2012 08:35

Just looked back at stats missed age and cycle

Babaloulou 34 ttc#3 cycle 2 af due 30th April

Crazytictac · 02/05/2012 08:53

Welcome wine, good name!

limeleaf yep that's not the sort of thing you'd ever want to discuss with your brother ha ha but in the unlikely event he even had a look at the document, could you not say it was a "friend's" in any event? Wink

Some interesting stuff regarding EWCM and swimmers, this thread is educational! Do any of you ladies find that the swimming stuff is erm slightly thinner?

lbot know how you feel. 3 of my friends are in final stages of pregnancy and one has given birth and I always thought I'd be up duffed by this stage. None of them are pressuring me though...that's a bit naughty!

My little DS is under the weather so have had to cancel our lunch plans with friends and going to the doctors instead. It's very strange that my living room doesn't like it's been burgled as it normally would do by this time of the morning so he's def off colour.

SilentMammoth · 02/05/2012 09:12

baba when are your FR arriving? I was thinking of holding off til Fri (eek), do you want to be poas buddies? Am 12dpo too now.

crazy hope your little one is better soon.

babaloulou · 02/05/2012 09:42

mammoth i ordered them on Monday on amazon free delivery. So i'm guessing tomorrow or Friday. I'll let you know would be fun to have a poas buddy. Have you still not done one? Have you had any signs of af or preg yet? I'm 70/30 i'm not but know we dtd at the right times so who knows.

SilentMammoth · 02/05/2012 09:53

I'm pretty much exactly the same! Actually only dtd once (!) as DH away a lot, but was on ov day so there's hope.

No, have Demonstrated Nerves of Steel (actually just don't want to see a bfn) and have held off poas yet. But temp did go up today. Feeling a bit queasy (not reading loads into that as MS not a massive problem for me). Still twingey though, so, as you say, reckon I'm 70/30 not. What about you, any symptoms of the witch or the stork Grin

LimeLeafLizard · 02/05/2012 11:56

Welcome baba, good luck for POAS when your tests arrive.

I am getting all nervous if my temp is even 0.1 degree lower than the day before. I have been quite hopeful this month due to feeling what I thought was O pain AND what I thought might have been implantation pain, now the waiting is getting to me. Really I'd be foolish to test before next Tues when AF is due although I poas today and got a bfn. I need an idiot button for myself, never mind my keyboard.

Meanwhile I haven't had the guts to call DBro yet - the document is called 'Fertility Chart' so no chance of telling him it is something else.

Crazy hope you're DS is feeling better soon - is is always a shame to have to cancel plans for sickness. We have twice cancelled visit to lovely newborn nephew due to sickness in our house...

Sorry, 'your DS'. Grammar also seems to have evaporated.

lastboxoftampons · 02/05/2012 12:57

My god mammoth, woman, POAS already, the suspense is killing me!! Grin it sounds really good for you, I'm excited Smile

crazy hope DS is okay :(. My friend is a very close one and she was really teasing me RE: starting to ttc. It wa all in good fun, I didn't mind.

Lime are you testing at 7dpo! Didn't we having the "peeing on a £5 note" talk on this thread?! < tapping foot impatiently> And don't go on about "but they were Internet cheapies" because you know they wouldn't be positive this early inthe game! Step away from the pee sticks! There. I really hate to be so stern, so don't make me do it again! WinkGrin

Hi Babaloulou fx for you! Smile

LimeLeafLizard · 02/05/2012 13:29

Blush It was a Superdrug one, but I had bought it when they were on offer, so not quite £5. I know, I know, it was daft. You'd think I'd know better by now, wouldn't you.

Agree, c'mon Mammoth, POAS!

OP posts:
Crazytictac · 02/05/2012 13:43

Welcome baba this is a lovely thread to join

mammoth you do have nerves of steel unlike limleaf have POAS already :o. Fingers firmly crossed for you!

Ah that's ok then lbot :)

Thanks ladies for your good wishes. Had to wait 40 mins to see the doctor so not ideal with a grumpy 2 year old and then another 15 mins in the pharmacy. Argh. He has tonsillitis bless him (although this didn't deter him from trying to jump off the chairs and pull posters off the wall!)

lastboxoftampons · 02/05/2012 14:06

Poor little mite Crazy hope he's ok. My DS had tonsillitis in March. He showedno symptoms but kept complaining of stomach pain. In the end I was so worried about his appendix that I took him to A&E. After stomach X-ray and overnight stay, they determined he had tonsillitis causing his nodes to swell not only in his throat but also in his groin which were pushing on a stomach which was constipated. We struggle with constipation a lot Sad anyway hope he's feeling better

blackcatsdancing · 02/05/2012 14:48

blackcatsdancing enters with a tray of pale pink (cracked) macaroons sandwiched together with white chocolate buttercream AND some buttermilk scones with pots of jam and butter , oh and a big pot of tea. Help yourselves and if anyone had some double cream for the scones that would be grand.

peeing on a stick at 7DPO?? It most likely won't have had a chance to implant yet !! Give the egg a chance.

Not much to say here, busy day baking now off for a run. Good luck those waiting to test. Hello newbies.

babaloulou · 02/05/2012 17:03

Just ran round the soft play with dd and my pelvis is now throbbing! Madness in symptom stopping or genuine?

babaloulou · 02/05/2012 17:04

Spotting!!

Treats · 02/05/2012 17:46

lbot - totally share your pain re: the friend's babies. We're going away this w/e with some friends who had a baby boy a week (almost to the hour) after DS was here. Feeling really apprehensive about seeing them - just don't know how I'm going to feel. Think I just might hate her a little bit - but trying to find a way to deal with the feeling before I see them Sad

Mammoth - fx for you - sounds very positive

babaloulou - d'you think AF is on her way then? Hope not......

Limeleaf - what were you thinking?? Crazy behaviour..... Think you're going to have to choose between an embarrassing conversation with your bro and not getting your data back.

LimeLeafLizard · 02/05/2012 17:48

OK, OK, I have done enough daft things this week!

baba, sorry but I vote symptom spotting. I was knackered after 3 trips round the big frame last Friday! Don't know how kids manage to keep going for so long.

Oooh, how yummy those macaroons are looking, love the white choc buttercream (how do you make that?)

OP posts:
Wineoclockalready · 02/05/2012 17:57

Thanks all for the welcome, can I interest anyone in a little Wine?

Flightty · 02/05/2012 18:15

Hello and yes please Smile

Have been finding this all very interesting regarding the obscuration issue...I have given up charting my cm at all as it's so completely random now!

By the way girls, I need a pic of OPKs going right through from ovulation to AF, (or not) because I just got a pretty much positive OPK at 8dpo. Which is weird. Yes I have peed on a HPT and it's negative. So I'm confused!

Does anyone know if they can stay positive for that long? It looks exactly like the one on CD12, currently CD 21. Hmm
But surely HPT woulda been pos by now if so?

Ho hum...Lime, I completely understand your desire to POAS so you'll get no flack from me, girl Grin
Tictac, I am sorry for your poorly DS, and hope he is alright before long xx

LimeLeafLizard · 02/05/2012 18:56

Treats I think I cross posted with you earlier and then rushed out. Going away with your friends and baby the same age as your DS would be sounds very hard. I hope you manage to sort your feelings out a bit beforehand but you're bound to feel sad. The other mum must be very aware of how you are feeling. Ask your DD to give you lots of cuddles. Huge Hug to you.

OP posts:
Pipbin · 02/05/2012 19:50

Evening ladies.
Well AF has cleared off, and this month with no spotting afterwards, I normally get a couple of days of it.

I'm very anxious about being weighed and measured on Friday. DH and I have been checked and we are both OK so this is to send us off for the next step.

babaloulou · 02/05/2012 20:26

Sorry realised after I posted spotting. I wrote stopping rather than spotting in my previous post.

Still no sign of AF so still in on for Friday POAS.

SilentMammoth · 02/05/2012 21:02

baba me too! Are you temping as well?
Pipbin thinking of you.

Talking of poa£5, come on ladies!! Amazon do a very nice deal of £2.50 or so for 5 internet cheapies. the trick is to slip a CBdigi in the basket as well so you can pee on that when the IC is pos

Can anyone remember what CM does when your pg?

babaloulou · 02/05/2012 21:32

Mammoth no i'm not tempting although will do if not successful this month,

I'm interested in the CM whilst pregnant questuon too. Maybe we should post in pregnancy see what those ladies say.
