Asseyez-vous mes amies and ready yourselves for the BESH Eurovision contest ever. Get ready with your Central European fashion, transvestites and inability to sing anything in tune. Get ready to rip your skirts off and leave your other halves no option but to make their mind up (do you see what I did there?) to get down to some swi and do your best not to think of Terry Wogan at any point in the proceedings. Finally, get ready to yell ?nul points? at the evil Droid should it dare to make an appearance.

Newbies, approach in high euro-camp mode, find and complete the BESHtionnaire to let us judge whether you are cynical and menkul enough to join us.

Yeah, I was going to wait till Weds, which is 2 weeks after my blood test, but I'll just stew in the meantime so may as well call them at lunchtime - when I can't be overheard by nosey colleagues [sigh]

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/04/2012 09:24

I think you need their advice/reassurance cavey. Sometimes charts are just weird, I know I've had a couple when I've been Hmm. Not an exact science but really not helpful when you're in a position like yours where timing is everything :(

eurochick · 30/04/2012 10:31

Morning BESHies. Droid arrived this morning. I feel much better now than I did on Friday and Saturday when I was just in a murderous mood. I think the hormone crash is over.

cavey that is all terribly confusing. I hope the clinic can help you figure out what is going on.

faith when are you testing?

Rotten womble soreness. Ouch.

My mood often lightens a bit when droid gets underway, euro. I think it's the accepting of it, and the end of the stress of wondering and hoping. Hoping is very exhausting.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/04/2012 14:05

I'm somewhere between bored and insane. Managed to get out in the sunshine to do a couple of errands so I'm pleased about that. Feel like I'm getting somewhere.

Northey · 30/04/2012 14:25

Am torn between making cherry cake, job hunting and phoning the clinic to arrange tracking scans.

Actually, I'll repeat my question here, as my other thread is being ignored - can I have a baseline scan once I've popped the first pill? Or does it need to have been totally beforehand?

Also, how many tracking scans did people on here have??

CaveMum · 30/04/2012 14:34

I don't get any scans Norf, my NHS group don't "do" follicle tracking on Clomid. We're just left to our own devices!
If I had had follicle tracking we might not have screwed up this cycle Angry

I've left a message on the clinic answer phone about an hour ago. If they don't call back by 3pm I'll call them again .

FriendofDorothy · 30/04/2012 15:14

I think I had one tracking scan on about CD10. Does that sound about right?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/04/2012 15:33

Hope you get your answers norf.
cavey have you got to talk to the clinic yet?

Northey · 30/04/2012 15:55

I know I am meant to have one in cd10, dor, so that does sound right. But I don't know if I was meant to keep having them till a follicle popped or something. What were they looking at with yours? And did they not mention doing a baseline scan beforehand?

FriendofDorothy · 30/04/2012 15:57

I did have a scan on CD4 when I saw the consultant for that time. I didn't start my Clomid until CD4 because that was the day they happened to fit me in for an appointment.

Northey · 30/04/2012 16:12

Oh GOD. I wish I understoooooooood.

How are you otherwise, dottie?

CaveMum · 30/04/2012 16:30

Well I've just finished speaking to the Clinic and am feeling a little bemused.

The nurse said I can't have ovulated at the weekend because the blood test said I definitely did pre Day 30!

She's told me to take another pregnancy test tomorrow and if it is negative to start taking the Clomid straight away. Apparently they don't like to let you go over 42 days on a Clomid cycle if you have ovulated, and it is possible to take the pills without having a period.

Of course the Sod's Law of it all is that HWHNN has to go abroad for a few days in 2 weeks time, which would coincide perfectly with me ovulating, if the Clomid does it's job.

Thoroughly confused and fed up!

Northey · 30/04/2012 16:43

Is it just temps and pant snot that indicate ovulation at the weekend? Is there any chance they could be related to something else

I would be beating my head agains the wall cavey. What a horrid confusing muddle.

CaveMum · 30/04/2012 16:48

Temps and pant snot are all I have to go on!
Nursey says "not possible" and that I don't need another blood test, so I have to go along with her.

I might be a bit naughty and just give it a few more days to see what happens before starting the Clomid again.

Northey · 30/04/2012 17:01

You rebel!

What will the extra days achieve? Just a few more days in which to test?

CaveMum · 30/04/2012 17:09

Yes, taking Clomid while diffed can cause all sorts of awful problems so I need to be sure I am not diffed first. Hence why you usually take the pills after droid shows up.

FriendofDorothy · 30/04/2012 17:19

I am fine apart from feeling like I have been run over. Completely and utterly knackered.

Northey · 30/04/2012 17:19

Blimey, how does that work with people who get implantation bleeding and think it is droid?

I will test tomorrow before popping my first one, then!

eurochick · 30/04/2012 17:33

How confusing cavey. Will waiting a few days also mean that HWHNN will be back for ov o'clock? If so, I'd definitely wait.

I've just worked out that although the timing is fine for the next IUI cycle, for the cycle after that I will most likely to away for work over ov time. I am due to start downregging for IVF on day 21 of that cycle, so that really is out last chance saloon. In one way, I am sad that we will be missing it. In another, it will probably be good for us to have a cycle "off" - our first in a year and a half. And might mean that we stand a chance of going into IVF in a non-menkulling state.

OP posts:
Northey · 30/04/2012 17:42

Good point about manipulating cycles to match likely ov o'clock (love that, btw) with hwhnn's presence.

Is there no way with iui that you can do the same, euro to coincide with when you are not away with work?

Oh cavey luffly that's rubbish. Sorry it's not clearer for you. I hope things clear up soon. I think in your position I'd give it a few more days too. Fo you have any more sticks to pee on?
euro glad to hear this cycle is going to fit in with the iui. I bet it's difficult to decide with the travel whether it's easier to just have a rest, especially if you're gearing up for ivf.
dor rubbish that you're shattered but good because it means bean is sticky :) Are you still POAS regularly?!

Northey · 30/04/2012 19:11

Oh good, bugs, I was worried you were quiet because you were in hospital or something. Fingers crossed for a good resolution this weekend (by which I mean a bfp and instant confirmation it's all absolutely fine and normal. Even though technically I know they couldn't say tat straight away. But still.)
