Asseyez-vous mes amies and ready yourselves for the BESH Eurovision contest ever. Get ready with your Central European fashion, transvestites and inability to sing anything in tune. Get ready to rip your skirts off and leave your other halves no option but to make their mind up (do you see what I did there?) to get down to some swi and do your best not to think of Terry Wogan at any point in the proceedings. Finally, get ready to yell ?nul points? at the evil Droid should it dare to make an appearance.

Newbies, approach in high euro-camp mode, find and complete the BESHtionnaire to let us judge whether you are cynical and menkul enough to join us.

    d) none, you just pray to the baby Jebus.

c. Though the sonographer got so flustered during emergency dildo cam that she went for b until I yelped gently corrected her...

  1. Testing - when someone wonders if they should test for updiff (pg), do you: a) bellow 'POAS!' at them non-stop and punch them repeatedly in the kidneys till they wet themselves anyway. b) Sprinkle them with babydust and send them hugs and kisses on lickle baby angel wings.

a

    ii) Over 100 quid
iii) I opened an account on ebay solely for the purpose of purchasing sticks

More fresh meat?! Welcome Shred (do you mind if I call you Shred? It is a tad over familiar seeing as we've only just met!) Your BESHtionnaire looks good to me, tell us a bit more about yourself.

Oh, and we're going to have to ask all newbies to put together a Eurovision-style dance routine for our amusement approval Wink

For the record, I am Cavemum, 30 nearly 31 years old. Technically TTC since June 2010, but due to PCOS only had 8 cycles of trying in that time. Currently on cycle 5 (out of 6) on Clomid.
My husband, also known as HWHNN, is in the RAF so lives away from home during the week, which means sechs takes a lot of logistical planning!

In Egg news - still nothing, nada, not a sausage. Day farking 26 Sad

ShredniVashtar · 14/04/2012 10:18

Fanx for the welcome. Shred is fine by me: am sure I'll be sharing tmi in no time :-)

I'm 31, ttc for 16 months now. In that time have had one early mc (in June) and one ectopic ( just before Christmas) so am now minus one tube. Other half is having SA soon to see if there are any ishoos and I'm resisting the urge to go and weep at my doctor until she refers me or summat.

Northey · 14/04/2012 11:20

Hola, shred. As far as I can see, the verdict from the judges from the BESHerlands seems to be dix points, so draw up a chair.

I'm northey, 34 in the next few weeks, unprotected sechs for 7 years, trying for, oh I can't remember, two or three years, in which time I've only managed about four droids. And one ectopic proto-baybee, which got hacked out avec tube last year. Hopefully being prescribed Clomid last week (cue mucho ranting about the stupidity and meanness of doctors for not giving it to me before EVEN THOUGH THEY PROMISED).

Northey · 14/04/2012 11:36

Next week. Not last week.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 14/04/2012 11:42

salamlamaq shred (google translate tells me that's welcome in azerbaijani)

Sorry to say, but you sound like you'll fit perfectly here. Having said, there is a mini run of diffedness of late, so this could be the Fred to get in on. Just sayin'..

I'm sinky/flamey, 31. TTC for >24months (stopped counting- don't make me. ). PCOS, no natural cycles. I'm post ov drilling, just finished cycle 7 of 9 clomid and have a appt on may for the 'IVF chat'. Again, . GHJ is the other half. He's sickeningly healthy with an alarmingly high swimmer count.

Northy, bloody hell, this might be a v insensitive thing to say, but I hadn't realised how long you've been on this shitty bandwagon. I shall dedicate my out of tune entry, sung in Portuguese, with dubious ice skating backing dancers in your honour.

And, kat (although I joined the BESH after she left...) - yay! Do BESH births get twirled nipple tassels, or do we break out the big guns?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 14/04/2012 11:50

Morning contenders, I am all ready with scoring cards (and the assignment-to-do)

Welcome shred. Two newbies - I am an old hand now :)

And insensitive as it may be, I agree with you sink and I am dedicating my rubbish paper to norf for effort. I am lemon and been trying for a measly Wink 22 months to win a baybee. The only thing that gets diffed is our fridge and we are unexplained and outsourcing (like euro, second iui this cycle).

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 14/04/2012 11:51

Oh and woop-die-doo (ripping off of clothes and cheesy dancing for kat) CONGRATULATIONS.

Btw dot, still diffed? I know you're lurking!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/04/2012 12:39

Woo Kat is a Mummy :) that's awesome. Douze points!
Oooh more fresh meat! Bonjourno shredders. If you've been lurking since Kat got her bfp you've been around even longer than me! Sounds like you'll fit right in.
Intros to be newbies: I'm faith though I had a name change to phoenixfromtheflames so sometimes I still get called phee Been ttc 26 months, about 30 cycles I think lost count. Rare male fertility ishoos - Mr Faith, aka MSB - Mr Squidgy Baybee was found to have a teeny growth on his pituitary gland causing high prolactin levels, which decreases testosterone levels which in turn causes slow swimmers but not til I'd had.bloods, Hsg and fanjo cam to check my plumbing is ok . Started treatment at Christmas so we should be in normal realms by now. So 80% chance of conceiving within a year.
Norf now remember your mantra for next week: I'm not leaving without the clomid!

sinkingflameofhilarity · 14/04/2012 13:00

Yup Norf, it's clomid or bust! not that the damned drug as done me much good

Managed run. Now trying to haul my arse out to town. Can't really be arsed. Sigh. Ghj away on stag. I'm lonely.

There's not a what a loser emoticon, but there should be.

Northey · 14/04/2012 13:23

Not insensitive at all! Also, I'm an attention -loving whore, so boggle away at my long years of fruitless sechsing and I shall lap it up. But it doesn't feel like proper trying for 7 years (which would be ein grosse headfuck). It's just we never really used contraception at all, but because we weren't TRYING, I didn't really notice. It's only in the past few years since we decided we wanted to have a baby that I actually noticed that I never menstruate and so on, and turned into an anxious gusset-watcher.

V well done on run, sinkster. I wish I could stop talking about starting running again and actually dig out my probably decayed by now running shoes and do it.

How are you phee? Any closer to being able to strap your own shoes back on and resume training?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/04/2012 13:48

Did you ever kind of wonder norf? When people said ooh we didn't use a condom once and I'm diffed? Did you think Hmm we don't and I don't get diffed! Or did it simply not cross your mind?
Yes well done sinkers. How far did you go? I want to go into town at some point but worry about my energy levels and also if I'm seen in town when I'm technically off sick. I want an iPhone! And I can upgrade now....patience is a virtue.
I had a nice morning with my friend for brunch. He's been ill too so we shared tales of woe! MSB came home from work just after he left (my friend, not MSB) with a migraine so he's sleeping it off while I watch tv. At least I got man to link his phone to the iPad so I can go shopping while he does :)
Oh btw newbies - two important none ttc facts about me - my house caught fire before Christmas and we in the midst of repairs. Also I spent a week in hospital recently - disharged two weeks ago) with ?kidney stones/?kidney infection. To answer your question norf, I'm certainly on the mend but I stuck have no little energy, I can't imagine I'll run again for a good few weeks :(

FriendofDorothy · 14/04/2012 14:37

Yep still lurking and still diffed (confirmed by another test today - Test 7 and counting). No signs of any symptoms of pregnancy though. I feel as normal as I usually do!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/04/2012 14:46

Glad to hear it dor! You've seemed a tad under the weathery from your updates on t'otherplace though? Mega tired and sniffly? That's all my sister had. Only had morning sickness one day! I'm sure it doesn't help the menkul but I guess it's relatively early days for actually getting symptoms.

CaveMum · 14/04/2012 14:52

Forgot to add earlier my "whoop whoop" for the arrival of Kat's kitten (see what I did there!)

Having a teary time at the moment. Cried in bed last night (instead of sechsing Blush) and again this morning. I go through what I call "black cloud" days from time to time, but I seem to be having a particularly bad one thus time Sad

Northey · 14/04/2012 14:53

From time to time, faith, but I suppose I thought that when we came to try properly then things might be different. And you know what it's like in a long term relationship - you go through periods of scarcely shagging at all, so one of those kind of took up a year and so on. Oh God I am a massive thick.

Hurrah for iPhone upgrade!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 14/04/2012 14:55
Northey · 14/04/2012 14:56

cavey, I so sympathise with those hideous dips. Was it a ttc related thing, or other stuff too? How do you normally manage to get yourself out?

sinkingflameofhilarity · 14/04/2012 15:06

How far? I ran about 2-3miles ish to a British mil fitness class and back. My legs are killing, but think that's the class, not the running.

I've decided I need some new trail trainers though because mine are muddy and smell, but am trying to be frugal. Must resist.

Dor, if when I get diffed I'll be testing daily- no shame in that!

sinkingflameofhilarity · 14/04/2012 15:10

Ooh. Xpost. Have a surreptitious huggy squeeze cave. I had a bit of a cry last night after seeing preggers friends.

And faith- we've already figured out we're pretty close in rl I think- it's hailing/raining in manc as well. Sigh. And of course blowing a gale making umbrellas less useful and more of a threat to sight.
