Had a search for a may BFP thread and couldn't see one (please correct me if there is!) so thought I'd start one..

Gutted about the bfn @QTPie. I hope AF turns up soon so that you can start a shiny new cycle. Or of course you retest and get the BFP!! It isn't over yet.

FX for all the others due to test over the next few days.

I have a sore, no-head chin spot today so feeling very glum. I have been having periods for 24 yrs now and know this means bitch AF on the way.

now, where is that June thread.... ??

Thanks RIBS I will stay in the game, after I posted I got a bit more cm and my boobs are still a bit sore I guess, just not as sore.

curiousgeorge DH went out yesterday and came home with the cutest soft leather pink baby shoes.....I hope this is the way forward :o

I have no tests in the house plus I've wasted do much money over the past 8 months on tests - I don't want to waste any more!

Am out shopping with hubs today so will convince him to let me buy one!

I feel hopeful cause it's CD35, I'm officially late and I dtd loads this month BUT I have zero symptoms and I've had 2 BFNS (on FRERs at 11 and 13 DPO altho not with FMU admittedly)...

TEDMUNDO! STOP!! There will be NO moving to the June thread until AF arrives or more realistically (see username!) a BFP!

I refuse to even click on the link until I'm out- we need positive thought! Positive energy!! ( I sound like a pagan loon!)

I've managed to convince myself that no symptoms is, indeed, a symptom in itself! So winkle, we're still both in but please, be merciful- pee on a stick! (btw, I think your hubs sounds like a very level headed man- if I wasn't so ttc fanatical I would totally agree with his advice!

Qtpie- I don't think you should feel negative yet- you're still totally in the game,

I resisted testing today (mainly cause I dont want to see a BFN) but am having crampy feelings and sore boobs so not feeling too hopeful really.

winkle I totally understand you wanting to wait to test - its better not knowing and still hoping than having a BFN - but I have a good feeling if you're D35 and no AF!

I'm day 12 today and going away tomorrow for a week, no CM to speak of so think this is another no OV month post MC for me... hasn't stopped my forcing DH to DTD every day for the last week though, unfortunately he was so exhausted and DTD-out-of-it that I think we peaked too early if I did OV! Also he's back cycling (50-60 miles at a time) and I can't really say anything to him cos he loves it but I'm so worried about his poor little over-heated bits!!

Anyone else have a cycling-fanatic OH and still managed to get a BFP?!!

I'm 4 days late and no AF and no BFP either. waaahhhh! Will wait til Tues/Wed and test again! Dear god, don't let it be 'the change'!

Im on CD12. opk's have turned negative again now, had positives Friday + Saturday. Is it true once they have gone negative this is when u ovulate?

Hi all. having a bad day. Went to Tesco and bought a FRER test at great expense as am really struggling today. Of course, it is a BFN.

I am really confused about my dates. Got positive OPKs on Mon 23rd and Tues 24th April. Then strong OV pain on the Tuesday night.

So .. As most LP are 14 days long.. When will that be?? Do I count from the Tuesday as I ov ed that evening, or the next complete day, ie the Wed?

Basically, I am gutted about the FRER being negative when all their stats show that even 2 days early that test should have picked something up. If it was there to pick up.

DH not being most helpful. He is a very level headed man and I am simply NOT level headed right now. the MC made me very sad, but I am actually feeling more grief for it today that actually when it happened.

His response today... If TTC upsets you this much then maybe we should just be happy with the 2 DSs.

Don't worry ted it's OK to concentrate on yourself sometimes.

Re OVing, I would count 14 days from Tuesday 24th so that makes you 12 DPO today. It would be early but not crazy early to get a BFP now but it all depends on how long your LP is? Anything from 10 to 16 days is normal. If yours is 16 days long then you're still 4 days away from due on so still very much in with a chance this cycle.

Don't test again for a few days. Wait at least another 4 days and see what's happening then.

Your not alone Ted, i was the same after MC. makes you want it so much more + i expected to be pg within the 1st cycle afterwards, unrealistic now ino! but has happened for other + thought it might for me but 5months on still nothing. But it helps when uno theirs others in the same boat.

I have no idea how long my lp is usually, just went with 14 as average. I think I will leave it til Friday morning to test again as having a night out on Fri night so if BFN then, I think I deserve a few cocktails.

I have decided that FRER are the devils work.

ted I really feel for you, getting over a MC is so hard and there are just so many reminders when you're TTC after one. Its well known that lots of people's cycles are all over the place afterwards so maybe wait a few days and test again?

My best friend got her BFP the month after her WTF cycle so of course I'm convinced the same thing will happen for me....but takes most people a few months I'd say...fingers crossed for you

A test on friday sounds like a good plan (I don't work on Fridays so can come on here in the morning and see your result so it's a very good plan )

You enjoy your wine and dinner. Try as much as you can to put it from your mind, if you have got PG this cycle stressing about whether you have or not is not going make you more PG so no more stressing and no more testing as they aren't going make you PG.

Oh, sorry about your BFN ted. I am so glad that I can't test early (would have to travel to buy a pg test where no-one knows me- small town!) but I'm kind of accepting today that I am not pg. Not due until Thurs but, as you say earlier, I've sprouted two big painful spots on my chin, and that always happens 5ish days before a period. to you.

I need guidance. The OV sticks. I thought that you got the dark line and that was a sign to shag ASAP- Am I wrong? Should I have waited until the line was gone, and then shagged? I had a dark line for 2 days this month and did the deed on the night of the second dark line

No that's fine-shagging when you have a line is fine, as is a few days before, I reckon your last chance in a particular month is the day after your last dark line -by which time it may have gone. But even then it could be slightly too late.
So as soon as you get a dark line SWI -but ideally you will have done it a bit beforehand too because I understand little swimmers can live inside you for Jo to 7days,

Oh Ted don't be down heartened. As squeaky and other wise ones are saying our cycles are all over the place at the moment post mc. It sucks. Like you I am desperate to be pg - was gutted when I didn't fall during my WTF cycle and now going for it this time after 1st AF. Really feel for you - and will be in your shoes in 2 week's time I'm sure. I think you deserve that glass of wine - I hope you enjoyed it?

Apologies for the TMI posting last night. Really must remember not to read about BFPs after a large gin etc and get carried away with posting. Sorry.

Any one on here temping? If so where did you get your kit from? I did have one from years ago (when ttc DS1) but appear to have thrown it away with everything else useful during a I'm going to bin everything that reminds me that DH says I can't have another child episode clear out.

icequeen I think posting after g+ts and or large glasses of wine is v. appropriate and entertaining! glad to hear someone else is not being toooo good about alcohol - we went out for a lovely dinner lst night and I had duck liver pate and prawns and lots of wine - yummy! - as I'm going to be quite good on my 2ww I think....boring but hopefully worth it....

Don't be down ted! I had bfn on FRER 11 and 13 DPO and bfn and now 19 DPO and still no sign of AF so you may still be in with a chance!

Convinced hubs to let me buy a test - yaay! Will be testing in the morning! Brought a one pack as knew if I'd had a spare one I would have done it today!

I am feeling better thanks. Thanks for mentioning the dates for your BFNs above - that does help. I should take it as 2 days til AF so should not be pOAS anyway. I foolishly read a thread where ladies compared their dpo days for the BFP. Surely some had their ov dates wrong??!! 8dpos were mentioned.

I think with those extremely early BFPs, ted, the zygote/blastocyst is producing hCG before implantation has fully taken place. It's possible for it to produce small amounts before reaching the uterus and if the test is a very sensitive one and the urine is very concentrate then it's possible to pick it up at 8DPO. Throw into that the possibility that the dates are wrong and you'll end up with early positives. Most of us don't get a definite result until the day we're due or the next few days.

The problem with really early testing and early positives is the increased risk of having a chemical pregnancy. Much better to wait and know for sure than find an early positive that turns out to be a CP, a couple of the others on this thread can confirm that I'm sure.
