Had a search for a may BFP thread and couldn't see one (please correct me if there is!) so thought I'd start one..

Thank you again for the information I can't believe I don't know any of this stuff, it's like a whole new world! We have been waiting to start trying for so long now you would have thought I would have researched it a bit better

I have my fingers crossed for all of you and hope you get positive results over the next few weeks.

Seeing bumps everywhere is just good old sod's law always there to piss you off at the most inappropriate time!

hai, you're not due on for another 5 days. Even the early tests say it's 45% accurate at 4 days before you're due so it'll be a waste of a test now. Wait until at least Thursday/Friday.

@hai - good symptoms, sounds like grounds for optimism! Prob best leave it a couple of days to poas tho

@wishful - yay for DH bein in the mood and who knows what might happen? U could be needing a maternity dress for wedding lol

I managed to really put my back out this morning - a lingering side effect from DS but hasnt played up in over a year, so had to take DS to dr and go to work today slightly whacked out on painkillers! Glad no dtd on cards for me 2nite lol and

...and there was me thinkin lower back cramps were poss AF or even poss OV symptoms over the weekend there! A cautionary tale about symptom spotting ha ha

Plus side of bad back is that I made an appt for GP so u can get a physio referral for my back but think i'll also get one for pcos clinic at hospital. Its a one stop clinic for all fertility issues and helping u get yr pcos etc symptoms under control so just in case AF makes an unwanted appearance later this month, i'll be on waiting list to see consultant. I know this is only my 2nd cycle since we started ttc and I've already got DS but between the pcos and the waiting lists I figure I might as well make sure all my bases are covered

not much of anything going on in the crafty household at the moment, AF due on monday so time will tell. I still have almost constant indigestion though, its very annoying

craftygirl - I was also due on Monday but as I OVd later I am going to test on Wednesday (or Tuesday if the urge becomes too strong!). Got everything crossed for you.

I think we may get a flurry of POASs next week. The stats list suggested loads were 7/8/9 May for AF due.

Hai you know if it's too early, the BFN can piss us off so like crafty says .. step away from the sticks. This feels like an intervention!

littlemiss sorry about your bad back. I hope the visit to the clinic is a help. I don't know much about PCOS but if you seek help now, and let them know you are ttc then that can only be a positive thing hey?

wishful we all do it. Say out loud that it is just a case of stopping the contraception and let's see what happens but really we are counting days, poas and staring at the results in light, in shade, then back into the light like demented witches. Once the decision has been made it turns us all a bit crazzzeeeee til we get that elusive BFP.

I too seem a lot rounder this week, missing zumba with my wonky back this week prob wont help either lol need to cut out the choc and tho I cant help but think if I do get pg soon i might be throwing everything.up copiously, off choc and.not allowed wine so....

Littlemisssnowshine - I'm cutting out wine for May to try and help with getting pregnant. Am hoping it will encourage hubs to cut back too. It will be worth it for a BFP.

Tedmundo you are so right I was prepared to be all so relaxed about ttc and just enjoy having as much sex as possible. However, having made the decision I have turned into a woman posessed

Tonight I will be mainly researching and ordering a load of pg tests so I am prepared for when the time comes.

I have decided based on information I have gained today from you lovely lot that if my period hasn't come by Monday 14th May I will do a test.

So how do I write this, is; TTC #1 - Testing 14th May right?

I'm certainly trying to cut back on drinking too. To be honest, I don't drink all that much but if I start then DF will have a drink too and he doesn't seem to be able to do it in moderation!!

I think I might try to nonchalantly dtd eod for a couple more days just in case, but I imagine I must have already ovulated. No real changes in cm, a few pains that could have been OV pains (but equally could have been any number of things!!)

I guess only time will tell (trying not to get hopes up, but still -irationally- feel fairly positive!!) it'll be an exciting few days- fx to all!!💐

Winkle / wishful - you're great inspiration! Tbh what I drink now compared to what I would have drank pre-DS is pitiful, but then I was 26, childless and a student so that was the life! Now I hav a toddler & a job so im practically saintly compared to, say, 2009

so for us all, no til we get at least one BFP between us all!! Tee total is the new pinot grigio lol

Not been on much but keeping up to date, was thinking of the thread today that it's 1st May tomo and got some testers. Fingers crossed!!!

As for me, i ovulated day 14, now on day 17 and got mild back cramps (like ppains) and felt sick twice today...feel a bit weird in uterus area...is it too early for symptoms???

Just realised obviously I am TTC #2 not #1 as I think I said before I have 2 DC's but only one is mine biologically.

jacqueline welcome! We have some things in common. Also TTC number no 2 & I also had the implant out 4 weeks ago. I'm also new to this whole TTc business as I have had one unplanned (ectopic) pregnancy & conceived DD first month of 'trying' - having random sex.

Cycle 1 Day 3 here. On a night shift hence the silly time of post. I will be testing right at the end of May (28th)

Starting to feel a bit unsure of what exactly I want in terms of TTC. My closest friend asked me to be maid of honour today :) in early October & not sure how I would feel if I were pregnant for this. Also been thinking of the age gap & if I were to conceive this month gap would be 22months. DH is very broody & thinks we should just have random sex & see what happens. I don't think my personality works like that, it's either all or nothing iyswim.

So excited for everyone else's tests! - bring on the babies :)

Good to see some over on the June thread!

Cd 4 today. So at the start of month 17 of ttc this one. I'm 100% committed to the cause, but......we are off on holiday at the end of the month! Flying off to some sun in the canaries, so I will not be tee total this month. I'm going to enjoy our holiday and see what happens :)

Wishful are we married to the same man?! My hubs is trying to cut back though now as the months go by without a BFP I think he can see that if might help.

coffee - A holiday away is probably just what you need, people say stop thinking about it and it will happen but I don't believe it is possible to just stop thinking about it so distracting yourself with an amazing holiday is just perfect. Have fun getting as sozzled as you wish

breathless - You are my TTC twin apart from my 3 are currently 7(in two weeks), 6 and 5(in 1 month) so there is going to be a big gap between mine and any new one if I'm luck enough to get a bfp.

I fell pg with DS by accident and the miscarried twice and decided enough was enough and had the implant put in so if I do get a bfp I shall be treading carefully as I have no idea what my body is going to do.

I don't smoke or drink but I am very overweight but I'm losing a little each week (so far 6stone lost, probably another 6 to go) and if I ever get pg plan to continue to lose a little each week (probably not realistic but it's my plan and I'm sticking to it )

Who is testing or planning to test this week?

I scurried back from the school run hoping there would be some POAS stories ... [excited]

Yes, I was sure there would have been some poas action as well! Everyone is much more restrained than I could be!

Start temping tomorrow. Any tips? AF still here, should I wait until the bitch has gone? I think she will be here for over a week this cycle.
