CD 1 today and my last cycle was 34 days which means I'm due to test 6th April.

Anyone fancy joining me?

Hi everyone, I wondered if I could join you? We are ttc dc#3, so we are very lucky to already have 2 dc, but really want one more.

Been ttc this one for 15 calander months and feel like I'm going slightly crazy. Dh and I decided that we will be upping our efforts this month and this WILL be our month Grin

So, some info about my ttc history......

Well ds1 and ds2 were conceived very quickly, in cycle#1 and cycle#2, so the struggles we are experiencing is really difficult.

Like I say, this is our 15th calendar month of ttc. My cycle is bonkers. Last one lasted about 56days, but they have been around 28 days before also. I have also had possible breakthrough bleeding before or a possible AF , who knows, do cycle could even have been 14days on occasion aswell!

Was referred to fertility clinic last month after various tests my go did showed nothing unusual. Still waiting to get appointment through (have been advised it could be months yet until I hear).................

So that's me. AF finished on Monday so we dtd last night and are going for eod until I get that bfp! (or AF arrives)

Have ordered Ov sticks online, but got a few here to start me off before then while I await delivery of internet cheapies Grin

Have just read entire thread..... and wondered what swi means [being a bit thick emoticon]

Hoping to poas around 4 weeks from now and then weekly thereafter until I (hopefully) see those magic 2 lines. So poas stick date set for 11th April.

Fingers crossed for everyone!

Oh and like my name suggests I'm a coffee addict. But from today I'm cutting back to one filter coffee first thing and then decaff for the rest of the day. Once I'm used to that, I will ditch morning filter coffee as well! Since reading this thread we are also avoiding peas and soy products! Who new that they could have that effect? I have px Dh with extra full caff coffee though!

Welcome morningcoffee! Swi means sex with intent. I tend to call it dtd - doing the deed!!

Last night was the end of our 3 day marathon after seeing a positive opk. Going to go for one more try on Thursday then we will have dtd cd 11,13, 16, 17, 18 and 20 with a positive opk on cd 16. Fingers crossed!!

Hi hai and winkle

Thanks for the translation! Makes sense now Wink

Fingers crossed for you to hai.

Wow winkle , seems you've done everything right, this will be your month for sure! Fingers crossed :)

Just reading about Agnus castus up thread, and wondered do you think I should take this to try and regulate my crazy cycle? I had asked this before in another thread and someone suggested I should leave it until after my fertility clinic appointment incase it interferes with any results if tests they may carry out. What do you lovely ladies think? I am thinking of ordering some for my next cycle but hoping it will be a waste of money as I won't need it because this will be my month!

iloveminieggs · 21/03/2012 09:54

Morning everyone! I typed a response but it's stupidly disappeared.
It's not fair I want to DTD. It's me that's away with work, not DH. Oh well I'll have to wait til Friday. Everyone else enjoy!

winkle2 · 21/03/2012 11:52

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake - thanks, fingers crossed this our month. Re Agnus castus, I'm don't know the answer but someone more knowledgeable should come along shortly!

iloveminieggs - when do you OV, do you know? I have only been DTD loads because I got my positive smiley! Think hubs is glad of the break after our 3-day marathon!

It's so frustrating, if this was a normal cycle I would be in the 2ww now, but because of the mc I'm not sure when I'll ovulate, if at all, so just have to keep SWI until AF appears (Or not!)

Any help with this?? lol...

Hai1988 · 21/03/2012 12:05

know how you feel curious, I have no idea about my cycle so just swi willy nilly hoping to catch the egg if i do ovulate, but as only just come off the pill I may not even ovulate at all for a few months Sad

MildredH · 21/03/2012 14:36

winkle2 what is the Dukan diet? I've read about it on daily mail online heard about it here and there but don't know what it entails?

tbh I am carrying an extra half stone or so but in the hope that I'll be pregnant sometime soon am trying to ignore it! before the MC I was rapidly putting on weight ( eating for 7 right from the beginning!)...

I thought I was over and out for this month- now CD16 but randomly did an OPK earlier and got an almost positive- line practically as dark as the control and the only real line I've ever acheived on one. So am off to buy DH a steak for dinner Wink

winkle2 · 21/03/2012 14:58

Get to it mildred! you need to DTD, tomorrow and the day after!!

The Dukan diet is protein only, no carbs. I've come off it now and I'm back to points from today.

re your extra half a stone ? I've been saying that for months! So thought I'd better crack on and actually lose the weight!

Hai1988 · 21/03/2012 16:35

Oh crap just had this rice microwave thing and didnt realise till after i had eaten it that it had soya mince!!! Crap is this bad

curiousgeorgie · 21/03/2012 16:48

Why is soya mince bad??

MildredH · 21/03/2012 17:44

Onto night shifts after today so will just have to really go for it tonight!!

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 21/03/2012 17:51

Hi mildred, I work nights too so that is where we have struggled to dtd regularly enough. It's annoying isn't it. However, I will aim for eod this month!

Hai1988 · 21/03/2012 17:53

Soy Products: Soy foods contain a natural source of estrogen which can be beneficial but if you are trying to get pregnant any excess in estrogen can cause hormonal imbalances. The result is often interference with ovulation and egg production. It is therefore wise to avoid all forms of soy foods when you are tyring to get pregnant."

Cookiesandcream06 · 21/03/2012 18:37

Welcome coffee, DW you're not alone. I've majorly cut back and trying to have decaff tea in its place.. Not the same but doing my best! Ive been taking AC but the last few days I havnt as people seem to be saying conflicting things on it Confused

mildred good luck at dead doing!! I'm day 15/16 and got an almost + OPK earlier, so I don't think I've even OVed yet, good shout on the Steak, think I need a similar plan!!

winkle great DTD efforts! I've ha good efforts but don't think I've had my surge so my efforts may have been a waste.

ANYONE in the know about this temping malarkey ?! I had a little dip, I don't know how much it needs to be, and does this mean I've not ovulated yet or I'm about to? Im such a novice Sad

RightUpMyRue · 21/03/2012 19:40

I'm not a temper cookies so I don't know. Fertility friend will probably tell you the answer if you do a bit of a search. It's a good, knowledgeable website.

Hai a bit of soya like that probably won't make any difference at all, don't worry Smile. I think the jury is still out on how the body metabolizes the phyto-eostrogens in soya products, the research hasn't yet proved conclusive one way or the other. Unless you're a soya milk drinker, soya yoghurt eater and only eat quorn then the amounts you eat, in things like micro rice, will make no difference to TTC.

winkle I think the Dukan will probably be fine. Once you are PG a normal, healthy balanced diet is the way to go but whilst TTC you can't put everything on hold just in case, you have to live your life! (excellent effort on the SWI front BTW, it will surely be your month after all that!)

Steak dinner worked for me Mildred Wink

Welcome morecoffee, nice to have another on the thread Smile
We've also been TTC for a while now, I think this may be cycle no.13 (lost count there are SO many) and it is indeed craze inducing. You start out thinking "Oh I'll never get like one of those maniacs who take their temperature everyday and obsess over their CM and time having sex to make it happen quicker. I'll be relaxed and let things happen naturally". Then it doesn't happen quickly and all that goes out the window and you are a crazy lady with OPKs and thermometres popping out your dressing gown pocket and you only have sex for half your cycle and ignore your partner the other half because you're in the depths of depression about not having got PG that month.

Re the agnus castus; it's advised not to be taking anything which can affect your homonal balance when you're being seen at a fertility clinic. However, if you're not expecting to be seen for months then I know I would be tempted to try it.

georgie just keep shagging until you either see that BFP or AF arrives and you can get back to square one Smile

backwardpossom · 21/03/2012 20:03

Anyone else a bit, erm, 'tender' down there from all this SWI?! Wink

RightUpMyRue · 21/03/2012 20:08

Tender and leaning towards thrush possom Blush but Goddamit I will get knocked up even if it kills me from the fanjo up!

backwardpossom · 21/03/2012 20:16

Glad it's not just me! Any tips?! Sit on an ice pack?! Grin

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 21/03/2012 20:35

backward let lube be your friend! Wink

iloveminieggs · 21/03/2012 20:40

Got to be conception friendly lube though!!

backwardpossom · 21/03/2012 20:46

I'm not sure if that's the problem really, just feeling a bit bruised Blush

Iheartcats87 · 21/03/2012 20:56

I'm a vegetarian and eat lots of quorn! Oh dear.... Am I making things harder for myself? I don't have any other soy products like milk etc?
