April BFP thread

CD 1 today and my last cycle was 34 days which means I'm due to test 6th April.

Anyone fancy joining me?

TCOYF says to use egg whites for lube. No risk of salmonella apparently. Sounds rank and chilly, we keep our eggs in the fridge!

Oh that sounds like far too much hassle!!!

We use "conceive plus" sperm friendly lube- claims to increase chances..!

Me too it hasn't worked yet!
Standard lubes are said to prevent sperm travelling or something like that!

Waves to everyone. Had a positive opk yesterday finally, line appeared almost immediately and was very dark, and even some ewcm! That was cd17 ... so we have swi on cd12, 14 , 15 (I managed to fit in in around work HA!), 16, 17 but I don't think we can manage it tonight as DH has a cracking headache and is grumpy as all hell. Do you think that's enough?? I hope so .... good luck to everyone else!

And egg whites for lube?! Ewwww..... I've read castor oil ... but so far had not needed to try ... I honestly dont think the soy will be hugely detrimental. Tofu and soy milk are very common in some asian countries and they have no fertility issues as far as I've heard.

Yay Walnut, go go go little egg, find those sperm! I think if I were you I'd offer to nurse DH's headache better, put him to bed....get in with him.....

Yey walnut sounds good! Just got a + OPK myself, BUT typically, can't DTD tonight due to work commitments. How blooming typical. I'm feeling in the crappiest of moods today as well sorry to vent I am a right misery. I can't say I'll be using any of these strange lubes.. However I might take a trip to the health food place later to cheer me up.. See if I can find something in there for EWCM.

Egg whites?? I'm learning so much on this thread! lol...

I'm a vegetarian and I eat loads of soya mince, and did when I concieved my DD and when I concieved two months ago. It's so funny the things you never knew....

I'm trying not to drink wine, coffee or coke while ttc but failed massively last night with three glasses of wine while watching The Apprentice and One Born Every Minute. (And might have had a cigarette!! I'm rubbish! But my defense is I don't even know if I'm going to ovulate this month and sometimes you just need some wine!!)

Shall we make a list of when people are going to test? (Except me! Who has no f*ing idea! Haha...) I'll go with...

Honestly though ... how unsexy would egg white lube be?! It makes me giggle just thinking about it.

Hopefully the headache will disappear ... otherwise I might be able to ply DH with paracetamol and wine!! (although with that combination, he'd probably just pass out!)

Vent away cookies OV always makes me cranky too. As long as you get a good one in tomorrow that should be ok! I would skip the health food store and head straight for the chocolate. But that's just me

georgie, this cycle I have been having a glass of wine when I feel like it and a coffee or two a day. I was abstaining the last two cycles and nothing to show for it!!

Annoying of me to mess up the neat list with my date range but my cycles aren't really regular enough to give a definite day. I know my luteal phase is approx 12 days long but I haven't OVed yet (or at least haven't detected an LH surge on an OPK) so until I have it's dificult to to give a precise day. CD19 today and still waiting for that +ve.

It's my birthday today so would be nice to conceive today. FX crossed for those two lines!

walnut8 - good effort there! if you can't DTD tonight I'd say make sure you get one in tomorrow. but hopefully OH's headache will have subsided by tonight!

curiousgeorgie - hubs and I are trying to cut back on the drinking but it's really hard! I have a wedding this weekend and I want to be able to let my hair down but I also want a baby so desperately. Tough isn?t it? If I don't get preg this month then I'll be gutted that I missed out on a good night out!

I've added my stats. Like you, RightUpMyRue, I also have varying cycle lengths (27-34 days the past 6 months) but I have put down 9th April cause that's my first wedding anniversary and I want to be drinking champagne for more than one reason!

Welcome mytime- we're all hoping this is a lucky thread. It certainly helps to keep us all sane. Especially when you're trying to be relaxed and blase about it in real life!

Have added myself to stats.. Cycle is 25-27 days so going on the 27 I just sqeak into April with AF due on the 1st although I will clearly be testing from about March 28th!

Wow, there's been some top efforts going on, fingers crossed for everyone and hoping walnut and cookies get one more go at it tonight or tommorow!

Adding to the list, no real science to my date, but will test on this date, but if nothing will test again the following week...... gotta love having an irregular cycle!
