CD 1 today and my last cycle was 34 days which means I'm due to test 6th April.

Anyone fancy joining me?

Yes right I think I might ease off , I started taking it to give myself a 'normal' cycle after having my coil removed, I'm a bit worried now, i don't want to mess anything up, I haven't had any bleeding though FX.

I fell asleep after temping this morning as I'd been up with DD, it hasn't saved my reading. Am I screwed now? I'm going to continue tomorrow but will it mess my results do we know?

Hello all, nice to see all the SWIing going on.

I had negative OPKs at the start of the week when I thought I was due to ovulate, but we've been away visiting my family so I've not been able to test and not been able to DTD either. So it's not looking good at all for this month, unless DH's sperm are super long-lived :(

Mother's Day sucks. So does being told "Oh you don't know what it's like not having time to yourself until you've had children".

Anyway seeing as AF is almost certainly due on 29 Mar now, looks like I'm not actually cheating being on the April BFP thread :)

sorry to hear that you dont think this month will be your month, but u never know u might be lucky.

Just wanted to ask a quick question, we have been dtd every other day or trying to atleast.

not sure if infact i can predict ovulaton based on last period as it was a post pill period, but if you can and i have got the date right, is it best to dtd the day b4 ovulation and then the day after or 2 days b4 and then ovulation day?

Oh Winkly whoever said that to you was very insensitive. Besides, mothers day isn't about getting time to yourself, it's about children showing gratitude to their mothers.

You might not have missed this month yet, OPKs only predict the LH surge and once they have OV can take anything from 12-36 hours from the surge so DTD the next 2 days and give it the best shot you still can

Hai, according to TCOYF you should DTD everyday you have EWCM. So if you're not seeing EWCM but are predicting OV with OPKs or dates I would DTD both days before OV, the day of OV and the day after. If there are no issues with sperm count then with 24 hours between ejaculations should be fine and gives plenty of chances for fertilizing the egg.

I finally got a line tonight on an ov stick. It was a definite line but not as dark as the control line. Which is interesting as this is the day I am due to ovulate according to fertility friend and I suddenly have a lot of CM (not sure if EW??) and pains in my lower back and tum. So am I ovulating or about to ovulate ...? Hmmmm.

On a side note, do you sometimes read what you've just posted and feel like an obsessive over-sharing weirdo?! Or is that just me?

Don't worry Walnut, sharing your CM with us (or at least details of it!) is fine we're all doing the same thing.

EWCM comes before OV to carry sperm safely up to the fallopian tubes. Some (lucky) women have up to 5 days of EWCM, giving loads of chances for sperm to get up there and lie in wait for that eggy! As you age you tend to get less EWCM, by the time you're in your 30s you may only notice 1 day of EWCM thus the chances of conceiving are less than if you're in your 20s and seeing 3-5 days of EWCM.

I would say you're approaching OV Walnut, if you're noticing wetter, more lubricative CM, but have not yet detected the surge of LH you're still more than 12-24 hours away. Keep tracking CM (maybe even getting some directly from your cervix if you're not sure from feeling on the outside) and keep OPK testing. Keep SWI too, everyday you notice either EWCM or at least wet and lubricative CM.

Same for me at the mo too, expecting OV within the next 3 days so DTD last night and will do it probably every day this week to maximise our chances.

cookies just leave that day a blank on your chart. You'll still be able to see a pattern if the rest of the month is filled in.

Talking of which, I've not really had a great deal this month, and possibly even debatable whether it is EWCM or not.. think I'm due to OV any day, and lots of SWI over the weekend (and yes, I too managed to get some good stuff in ) but I've now missed two days temping and a days OPk due to stuff happening in the family, so I feel really out of things and lacking in knowledge.
Know I won't be DTD tomorrow either so tonight is an absolute must. Won't be long and we'll be embarking on the dreaded TWW ladies..

Hi all....glad to hear everyone is dtd lots! :) so I am on cd12 of a roughly 34/36 day cycle and got a neg Opk this afternoon. I have noticed that my cm seems watery...there doesn't seem to be much of it at the mo but it was thick and creamy about 4 days ago and was very clear and watery a few hours ago. Not really sure what that means, especially since my cycle seems to be quite long but going to dtd tonight and eod from here on. My opk today had a very faint line....does this mean ov could be round the corner as the instructions say it is just a negative?

Hi everyone! Wow this thread has grown loads since I was last on. Kind of avoided the place for a little while as I was on far too much! I'm currently on cd10 bit annoyed as I won't see DH until cd14 so fingers crossed we won't miss out this month. Hope everyone is enjoying all the swi and I have my fingers crossed for you all

I heart cats - there is always a faint line as the hormone is always present in your urine. It will get darker and darker as you get closer to OV.

I had a 34 day cycle last month and ov'd on day 18. This month I ovd on day 16!!

Hi Mildred it's this Friday we move very excited now and the good thing is I'am so busy I don't have much time to think about ttc, on the downside I don't think my broadband will be up and running for about 2 weeks so won't be able to see the first BFP's coming flooding in.

Cd15 today and will hitting the dreadful 2ww soon

have had a lot of cramping today and clear cm. my test today had a faint but definite 2nd line, so I guess i'm still not OV altho now I am on cd16 of a 29 day cycle . we have swi the last three days but can't tonight because of work commitments, so I would love to know what is going on with my body! two more sticks to go so i hope it gets picked up. If I hadnt been testing though, i would have assumed that this was it.

also if anything, the line today was lighter than yesterday ...

CD13 today... Ho hum. This waiting is a pain in the neck huh? Going to try an OPK later. I've been rubbish with them... Negative on CD10 than yesterday and the day before, I completely forgot. Hopefully I'll get a positive in the next couple of days!

I am not using opk's as it very early days only on cycle 1 of ttc#2
I think if i started using opks i would get obbsessed with testing.

I'm ttc #2, too. This is cycle 3 for me x

I broke and bought some opk's. Am cd14 today and no idea what's happening. Cycle usually 25-27 days. Had a blob of ?ewcm on Friday and teeny amounts since but nothing like normal. Not temping. We DTD weds, sat , mon and going for one final tonight.. Next month am going to buy Internet cheapies and opk three times a day!! Hate not being in control and just want to get an idea what day I'm ovulating- argh!!

No chance for me in April as I have surgery at the end of the month...
thinking positive for June/July after I've recovered...!!!!!!!

Hey ladies.. Rubbish to hear about no obvious OV, I'm not having much luck either! Am CD14/15 can't remember exactly, definite cramping on and off for the past few days but I have seen no other evidence really. Pissed off as DTD CD 8,10,11,12,13 and last night!
how much of a temp change should I be looking out for do we know?

walnut - i hate trying to decipher the lines so i buy the digi ones off amazon - so much easier.

what do you guys think about TTC and doing the Dukan diet?
