April BFP thread

CD 1 today and my last cycle was 34 days which means I'm due to test 6th April.

Anyone fancy joining me?

Dtd last night as although i am not due to ovulate till next saturday, had a bit of a headache yesterday and some cm

So thought i would dtd jjust in case it was happening early

I'm sure it's fine to take your vitamins with alcohol... I take mine first thing in the morning, though, so possibly not advisable!

Well, 15dpo today... Another BFN this morning and still no sign of AF. I've POAS'd a grand total of 4 times over the past 3 days and they were all in agreement (BNF) so I'm pretty sure they're accurate, but where has AF got to? Starting to get frustrating now...

When is/was ur af due?

Hai, I ovulated on 31st March and my previous luteal phases have been between 11-14 days, so going on that AF was due Weds (11th), Thurs, Fri or Sat (14th). I suppose that 15dpo isn't THAT unusual for AF not to have arrived yet, but I thought each woman's luteal phase was only supposed to vary by a day or so from cycle to cycle? I did only come off the pill at the beginning of the December, though, (I started temping in January, which I know is quite a quick change from trying not to conceive to ttc!) so I suppose that since then my cycles have been "settling down" and maybe my "normal" LP will end up being more than 14 days? Who knows. From reading these boards I see I'm not the first person to go through the elusive / late AF, but it's just puzzling as I thought I'd worked it all out and knew what was going on! (but clearly not!)

My periods range from 27 to 34 days - its so annoying!! I feel your pain Jennifer.

Since I've been taking any notice of how long my cycles are I've had anything from 27 days to 41 days!! It makes working anything out so much more complex and complete guesswork really.

Another BFN this morning. Going on new cycle calcs AF should be due today. We'll see what happens....

Hi Right, it looks like we're in pretty much the same situation! I'm logging temps on fertility friend. I deleted one from 1st April, which might not have been accurate due to being at a friend's house and sleeping on the floor... Without this temp, ff has changed my ovulation day to 4th April, so according to this I'm 12dpo. However, this doesn't match with CM pattern, but I always think that CM is a bit more subjective than temping (well I think it is for me, anyway, as I have only been doing it a few months). So I'm now either 16 or 12 days post ovulation. No AF. Hopefully I'll be able to forget about it a bit during the week due to work, and readdress the situation next weekend if AF doesn't show up by then. Keep us updated with how you get on, Right. :)

And thanks for your support, winkle, my cycles have varied approx 28-35 days, but I thought the luteal phase of it was always supposed to be the same between cycles?

It is, but we will get there eventually, Right. Fingers crossed for both of us.

Jennifer - I don't know much about luteul phases as I don't temp. I did hear they only vary a day maximum but I don't know for sure. Who knew this TTC malarkey was so complicated! I thought you just had sex a few times unprotected and you got pregnant! Job done!

Jennifer I take back my last comment because according to my Period Tracker app my luteal phase in March was 16 days and for April it was 14 days!

I'm still posting on this thread because I may test on 27th as I have a potentially boozy weekend.

CD16 here and just got my smiley on my OV! Yeah!

Really pleased as I got my smiley last month on the same CD so perhaps my cycles are becoming more regular ? hope so!

As I'm doing SMEP I'll be DTD tonight, tomorrow, the day after, miss a day and then one more for luck ? phew! I've got conceive plus too ? I WILL GET MY BFP THIS MONTH!

This means this cycle I will have DTD CD 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, and 20 ? I'll need a lie down (WITHOUT hubs!) after all that?.

Well af showed her ugly head this morning so I'm out.

Ive not done a pg test or ovulation this month, and completly chilled! think its for the best! AF should or shouldnt show her face around 27th :)

i think if she shows i will invest in some of this sperm friendly lube! any1 else tried this with any luck?? x

AF has arrived, she's easing herself in slowly though, which is annoying. Wish it would just all fall out at once and be done then I could get on with the SWI. So there'll definitely be no April BFP for me

Jen and winkle your luteal phase can vary by a day or two but not usually more than two days.

Hi everyone :) I am symptom spotting here. af due on 26th april, and am refusing to test until after that for a variety of complicated reasons.

dtd on 6th, 9th, 10th this month during most fertile period according to my tracker (not temping)

dtd same time last month. had an unusual af last month, much lighter than usual, but certainly af, not what i would imagine implantation bleed to look like. although who knows?

Am absolutely KNACKERED this week. needing lots of sleep, horrific back ache and sore lower tummy, what i would imagine period pains feel like (though i never get them) - sort of a very heavy dull ache.

am off for a run tonight to try and boost my dwindling energy levels and get some fresh air.

sorry for those of who who have AF this month :(

Zonat if you read further up the thread a couple of girls got their BFP this month from using preseed or conceive plus which inspired me to buy some.
