April BFP thread

CD 1 today and my last cycle was 34 days which means I'm due to test 6th April.

Anyone fancy joining me?

ribs, only been waiting for an appt about 6weeks. Been ttc this one for nearly 16months. Awaiting latest round of blood tests in the mean time. Gp surgery has results but could not give them to me today as they want Dr to call me about them? These were to test for pcos I think.

Im gutted. No sign of AF. Actually feel more pg than ever. Headache n queasy as well.

I cant understand how I can have had a VERY positive ov test EWCM etc over 2 weeks ago and not either be PG or have had period. WTF is going on?

Usually I have a bit of brown discharge for a day or so before AF arrives, but nothing!

How long can you go after ovulation before period occurs? Anyone have a clue? Im maybe very special and could have longest luteal stage and end up in guiness book of records!!

Normally I can just brush it off and start again, but im just so sick of this. Ive waited over 3 months to ov after mmc for nothing, could honestly just burst into tears about it, which isnt like me - as DP says im a hard faced cow. (big sigh) Pulling self together as at work. Sorry for whinge ladies. Onwards and upwards eh!

morecoffee I would of thought they'l be testing your hormone levels. Hopefully you dont have to wait much longer for your consultant appointment.

Do they really exist? I thought they were imaginary. I dont think I can keep my hopes up tho. My test was an internet cheapie but 10 miu, so you'd think that if there was a drop of LH (or whatever its supposed to detect) in my system it'd of picked it up.

Yes, I think false negatives are relatively common. When is your AF due?

Ov'd 27th March so due yesterday.

Gutted RIBS False negatives are much more common than false positives so there's still a chance. OV usually happens within 12-36 of the LH surge so if you had a surge on the 27th you could have OVed on the 29th. Normal luteal phases are generally between 10 and 16 days so if yours is 16 days your AF would be due tomorrow or possibly the next day. Give it a couple of days and test again.

I had another BFN yesterday too. It was an IC with afternoon wee but still I'm on CD40 now FGS, if there was a baby in there it would be making it's self known by now, surely? Perhaps the 4 days bleed I had on CD11-15 was a period? Very odd to have an 11 day cycle though.

Who knows? Not me, that's for sure.

That bfn sucks ribs but its not over yet. Test again over next few days, will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Still no AF here. Having lots of symptoms still, so who knows what's going on. However, I have also been very irritable today so maybe AF is on the way ....
rue I've wondered the same about my mid cycle bleed this.month, maybe it was an early AF? Is so, that would have made the cycle leading up to that 14days long . That would not explain my bfp last week though.

No. Don't really see the point tbh. I thought I would retest on Friday.

My current symptoms are-
Sore boobs/nipples
Weeing a lot
Tiredness (even tough I haven't been working)
Slight queesy feeling
A lot of crampy feelings in abdomen (which I don't normally get with AF)
No AF!
One bfp on a first response which has been seen and confirmed by 2 people as a definite positive, but all subsequent tests have shown a bfn.
And very irritable tonight and bad skin (which is what I was like with previous pregnancies)
Bleeding gums (only a little) when I brush my teeth.

These symptoms have only been since last Thursday, starting with the boobs which is why I did the test on Friday.

All very confusing. No sign of AF.

I admire your restraint. I reckon I would have tested everyday until the damn thing turned positive!

I so hope you get a positive on Friday. The negative tests you had after the positve were so unfair, I really felt for you. Especially difficult after having tried for a while. I'll be checking in 1st thing on Friday to see what your result is!

Thanks rue after the positive Friday test I tested sat, sun and Mon and all were negative.

I just don't know about more testing. At the moment I think, what's the point? It'll only another BFN but I might feel differently tomorrow.

If I still haven't got either a BFP or AF this time next week I'm off to the GP, I need an answer!

I don't blame you. Ive been thinking the same way about retesting. I agree you should see your gp. It all seems to be pointing towards a bfp for you, so very confusing that you keep getting a bfn.

Hello ladies! I need some help! I'm 10dpo today and did an Internet cheapy this morning with fmu. I swear I could see the most faint (almost invisible) second line!! I showed dp who was half asleep in a fairly dark room and even he said he could see a ghost of a line!!
I did one yesterday morning and could not see even a hint of a line.
Could this be a faint BFP or something else? My boobs are feeling tender, which they dont usually and I'm very gassy tmi! I have also noticed a very small amount of creamy cm since yesterday and my nose is totally stuffed up ( which could just be the remains of a cold I had last week)

Sorry for the huge message but any input would be great!

Not due AF till Monday but couldn't resist the urge to POAS...BNF of course. Just what I expected!

It's hard playing the waiting game when you want answers.

Iheart, it could very well be a v.faint positive even though 10DPO is very early. If you can wait till the day AF (who am I kidding, wait 4 days? Ha!) then you would get a more definite answer. At least wait until tomorrow morning to test again, better if you could wait till Saturday though impossible, I know!. Sounds exciting

Did the line come up within the 10 minute limit? Does it have colour to it or it more grey/white/shadowy? Could possibly be a evap line?

Im still in bloody limbo. My best friend has just told me shes pregnant and im thrilled for her but a bit gutted for me. She had to wait 7 days for her BFP, so Im not giving up hope.

Right up - It was def within the ten minutes as I was rushing to get to work and did the test about 5 mins before I left lol. It is White I think rather than coloured, kinda looks like where a line should appear if it was BFP, does that make sense? X
