Gum glad you enjoyed the accunpuncture. I found it very relaxing. Sorry about the bfn xxx
Hi FF hope u re ok? Yes, job situation is making my head spin but do realise at least we ve both got jobs and although we suffered redundancy recently we re coming through it. At least I have the luxury of taking my time looking for a new job I don't HAVE to. Plus, I love where I work & the vast majority of colleagues so all good. You rest up , take care of that babe of yours xx
Hippy xxxxGrin
Italian we re good thanks xxxGrin
Sorry about the break through bleeding hopefully you feel reassured by your advice. I so wish it works for you I ve got everything crossed.
Hope everyone else is well? Love to all xxx

knickyknocks · 02/03/2012 10:41

Italian, I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

Hippy loved your post re eastenders, made me smile.
angel, hope the job situation sorts itself out, though having good colleagues to work with I think can make the difference. I don't particularly enjoy my job anymore, though the pay is better than average and I have some great people to work with and that definitely helps. Think you mentioned in one of your previous posts about applying for a job near your mum. If you do apply, hope it goes well.

I'm off to my GP this afternoon to get blood test results. Feeling a bit panicky at work, just POAS for ovulation (I always get a smiley face on day 14 or 15) and it's just gone smiley. I'm stuck in work, and all I can think of is that I want to get home and DTD!! Tonight isn't a great night either. Tonight is the night that DH goes to work at 8.30, and with DD settling at the moment somewhere round 8.00, means there's not a lot of time Sad. Will feel gutted if we don't manage to find the time tonight as fairly sure by tomorrow night it'll be too late (will DTD just in case though...) Hey ho, the joys of TTC....

Italiangreyhound · 02/03/2012 11:04

Knicky do the dead, how old is DD, we find telly works to keep our DD amused! Maybe a CD story they can listen to? Anyway, priority bonk put it on the calendar.

Hugs to angelgeorgie, Gum, Hippy and all.

Still bleeding, stille frustrated, still achey and fed up. Collecting hire car and scared to drive it.

Just watched the final of Playing it straight, it was awesome. Just started a thread, if you watch then do comment!

knickyknocks · 02/03/2012 11:54

Thanks Italian, hope the bleeding and achyness (is that a word??) eases off soon. Good luck with that hire car. Last time I had a hire car, I remember driving like miss daisy for the first couple of miles.....painfully slow whilst trying to find gears. It did get better......Grin

DD is 2.5 years old. Had a thought mum-in-law is looking after her this afternoon. Not sure how I'm going to suggest this, but could get her to take DD out for a couple of things so we can run upstairs and do the deed. Hmmm....certainly don't want to tell mum-in-law the real reason! Not sure what excuse I can give...will have a think. Priority shag takes precedence. Must be able to come up with some old excuse....I feel like a teenager again doing naughty things in my bedroom whilst parents are downstairs (not that I ever did that of course.....) xx

I think maybe it's time you should perhaps leave the thread missbone? Particularly as it's causing you so much distress?
Gum You sound in a good place (both geographically and metaphorically). Any more signs af is on its way? Are you sure you didn't test too early? Regardless of what's happened this month, acupuncture seems such a good idea xx
Knicky yes you MUST fins a sneaky window to dtd tonight - it might be stressful but you'll feel so pleased to get it done on the 'right' day. With ds I swi the day after the pos opk as actual day a true impossibility - and it worked! So don't worry too much if you have to postpone a day. Would an early morning sess suit tomorrow instead?
Italian wow sounds quite full-on with your treatment. As always though you sound very inspirational.
Hippy I'd say more Corrie if you're a watcher, esp at the moment Grin. Am actually looking forward to tonight's episode - anyone else a fan?

randomimposter · 02/03/2012 14:54

Had a scan today, strong heartbeat and measuring bang on at 8+6. FTIAP.

Feeling generally horrid, so no Bistro order for me.

Love to all the 40+ gang. Hugs and warmth to all who need it. :)

Diege · 02/03/2012 15:42

Oh that's wonderful news Jolls, so pleased for you. It's all sounding very positive, as is the reluctance to indulge in the bistro-fest. Is your next appoint' for the 12 week scan?
On that note I'm cracking open the bistro early. I will have chicken cooked in cajun spices, some hand-cut chips, fresh salad, and a tart au citron (a whole one) for pudding. Can you tell I'm currently on slimming world at the moment? Grin.
I have kicked chef into action so get your orders in quick (who is it who always has the day-old paella, gum or italian??)

knickyknocks · 02/03/2012 16:43

lovely news jollster. Fab to hear all is well.

Is there anything quick at this bistro? I have urgent business to attend to... Wink . I'll have the steak (medium rare), with a side order of chunky chips. Best take away the dessert tonight to be on the safe side. New York cheesecake with a raspberry coulis please all washed down with a glass of chablis.

Diege · 02/03/2012 16:53

Knicky, all the food at the snug bistro is freshly prepared and as such may take a little longer than inferior eating places. Nonetheless, I have given chef special favours and he (a Simon Cowell-lookalike nonetheless) has cooked a stirling steak and chips, desert to go. I think you will need to keep your strength up!

Diege · 02/03/2012 16:59

dessert even Blush

BeattieBow · 02/03/2012 17:21

keep missing the deleted posts!

Italian I hope it all turns out well for you this month. have you had the embryo transfer yet or is the bleeding being caused by the drugs? (sorry for my ignorance).

jolls - fantastic news.

knickynocks perhaps waking your H tomorrow morning for is the way forward? (can't believe i'm offering shagging advice here!).

exhausted today - went to bed this afternoon (while "working from home"). Found out about secondary places yesterday and dd1 got her first choice which we are very pleased about. Just trying to get my life back on track with DH but it seems to be going well so far.

knickyknocks · 02/03/2012 17:42

beattie if it's any consolation I can't believe I'm asking you ladies to help me plan my SWI!! Hope your tiredness gets better. Bed early tonight might just do the trick.

Think the early morning bonk is the winning answer....DD isn't waking at the moment till 7ish so there's just time.

Will be able to hang round the bistro after all and enjoy that cheesecake.

hippychick66 · 02/03/2012 17:43

Ohh - I've been deleted - never had that before (didn't feel a thing Wink)

10000fireflies · 02/03/2012 20:14

Evening all

Italian thank you for the link on naming. DH and I will bear those top tips in mind. Grin Actually, I don't think we will be going for anything too wacky, but Scottish is likely as DH is a Scot and we met while living in Edinburgh. (The Dutch and Italian connections don't seem to work so well for names) How are you doing though with the bleeding? I remember feeling rather flat while on the Buserelin, but that the up-reg bit was a bit more of a positive phase. Perhaps it's the anticipation of getting closer to transfer day? (Am I remembering it all correctly? I have blanked quite a bit of the process.)

Gum I hope all those signs are leading to one thing soon....

Angel how are you guys doing today?

Knicky Great news re the Smile! All systems go tomorrow then!!

Jollster great news on the scan. Sorry you're feeling a bit shitty. Bet you don't mind too much in the circumstances though. Smile

Beattie nice to see you again. Hope that avo in bed worked. Great you're getting stuff sorted with DH too. Do you think maybe he had a bit of a mid-life crisis?

Diege can I have a small chip-shop style fish with the hand cut chips? And a small side salad? The pudding sounds gorge! Feeling a bit norty, so a small chilled cava or something else fizzy too. There's only so much water a girl can drink.

There's a lovely sense of calm in the snug tonight. So cozy with the fire going too.

How's everyone else? Latestarter, Blackcats, Hippy, Lol and all you other lovely ladies. Hope you'll pop in for some nosh and drinkies. FF xx

Italiangreyhound · 02/03/2012 22:12

Jolly FABBO, lovely news.

Can I order Piyaella and follow it with fudge? Not dfudge cake or fudge sundae, just fudge, please?

Knicky you KNOW that should say do the DEED and not do the dead, don't you!

fireflies having said all that unusual names are fine as are unusual middle names, having a too bog standard name can be confusing!

HUGs to all.

Diege · 02/03/2012 22:33

Right, all orders processed - fireflies you have a watery white wine and lemonade to go with your fish; Italian paella done, but could only come up with a forgotten finger of fudge from the dc's xmas selection box. That do? Wink
Right, off to bed. Dh out with the older dcs tomorrow which should be bliss but 'getting things ready' beforehand is almost not worth the relative peace tomorrow if that makes sense? A little like is all the packing/lists/stress worth it for a week's hols.
Love to all, D xxx

hopefulgum · 02/03/2012 22:54

Well, I've just got up, so I missed the bistro again! Bugger, I should have ordered early.I would have loved some crispy skinned salmon, a crunchy salad and thick cut chips.Followed by my favourite : raspberry creme brulee.

AF arrived when I got up this morning. No surprises there with a temp of 36.32 (very low).

So that's that. At least my periods are actually here, and I'm really regular. Do you think that means I might just have a decent egg left in me?I'll take the DHEA again for the first two weeks of my cycle. It'll be about 4 months of doing this, maybe it'll give me a big happy, healthy egg with a penetrable shell.

Sat here whilst DS watches Dora the Explorer, and not so sure I want to have to listen to this all over again with another DK. God, her voice is annoying.

Jolls -I'm so, so, so happy about your scan results. FTYAP! It's just so lovely.

Ooh, Hippy, you got deleted(I just said that in a school girl's tone)!I'm glad it didn't hurt.

So glad to hear from Beattie, too, and pleased to hear things are going well with DH.

Knicky - I hope you managed good timing. Sometimes it takes a great deal of care and planning. This ttc caper isn't easy.

Italian, I hope you are feeling better.

I had a lovely day with DS yesterday. I took him to the swimming pool in the morning, he just loves it, then we had a treat of hot chips on the way home, and then he had a HUGE afternoon nap (this hardly ever happens for me), so I was able to watch "Breaking Dawn" - the silly vampire movie. It was just so silly, but just a great afternoon escape. I did think the birth of her vampire baby was ridiculous, as was the choice of name.Fireflies, you won't go putting two names together to form one will you? It's just silly. She called her baby Renesme. Yuck!

Thanks for the bistro Deige - I hope you get a well deserved break when DH takes out the kids. I know, all the prep is exhausting, but I love the quiet once they've all left the house.

Enjoy

Diege · 02/03/2012 23:09

You're ok Gum, chef is still here, so your chosen meal is on its way!
Bugger about af Sad. I wuld say however that your regular cycles are absolutely very positive - there are eggs there, and where there's eggs, there's hope! Good idea to keep going with the supplements too. Are you still taking that herb mixture thingy? (sorry to be so vague - a sort of superfood concentrate?).
Right, really am off to bed now - will try to see past the chaos of prep to the (relative) peace of just having the baby at home!

Italiangreyhound · 03/03/2012 00:14

Diege Paella, fab I knew you would work out what I wanted and the finger of fudge is great too. Kind of think if it were named now it would not be named finger or fudge! What would it be, twig, sword, stick, memory stick of fudge ... a memory stick of fudge is just enough to give the kids a treat!!!

AngelGeorgie · 03/03/2012 00:56

Hippy xxx

latestarter2009 · 04/03/2012 11:38

Morning everyone, or eveing for gum, sorry AF got you, but swiming and chips sounds lovely. My DS also loves swimming, but it would be so nice to be able to do it with him at home in the sunshine (I'm also aussie). We are making a trip home in a couple of week for over 4.5 weeks (sydney) and I cant wait, hopefully still a bit of sun around. Where are you, I get the impression you are near the beach? How old is your DS?

I didnt realise there was such a good chef in the bistro, is this a regular Friday event, I will have to make sure I make a reservation for next week.

Thanks also for you comments diege, it's unfortunate that you are so far away - I'm in London as you are the only one who wants to meet up :(. I have another blood test on Tuesday and a scan on Thursday, so fingers crossed as I'm not feeling too confident. I love the idea of the virtual helicopter, I will be send it round to everyone early Thursday morning.

knicky hope you managed to do the deed, it's silly as even though FTIAMP, I am a bit jealous, you're in the best part of the month and in with a chance. One of the worst parts of a MC for me, is that in reality it ends up taking six months out of your ttcing efforts if only I could be pregnant without having to be pregnant IYKWIM Confused. Fingers crossed for you, me and everybody else.

How long before the FET italian?

Hope everyone is well on this wet (london) sunday morning, my DS has just thrown cheerios all over the floor - again, so better go and sort out, please hurry up nap time. Hello to everyone else, flies - hope you are glowing with happy pregnancy hormones, bean - where are you, jollster - looking really good, angel - enjoy your trip home and big hugs to everyone else.
