kreamkrackers · 21/02/2006 11:25

congratulations
brilliant news. when your ready you should join the pregnancy after mc support thread. have you worked out when you'll be due? wow, sorry a bit too much for you probably at the moment, congrats though

pepperpots · 21/02/2006 11:27

kk thanks hun! 29th october not that i have been looking or anything which is 2 days after ds1 bday

rubles · 21/02/2006 11:29

Well that is marvellous news.
When I was testing after my miscarriage waiting to NOT get a line I think I became quite expert at finding faint lines. My theory is that if you can see where the line should be then you can see a line.

pepperpots · 21/02/2006 11:32

but thats what im a little scared about that maybe im just seeing a faint line because i want to does that make sense?

pepperpots - sounds good to me, but i would definityl not get my hopes up until i had a good positive. I alwasy used the Clear blue digital ones, that way i ddin't even have to look for a line it just said the words.
definityl try again tomorrrow.

FirstNikki · 21/02/2006 12:32

Pepper- Congrats Yipppeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Excellent news

muppet3 · 21/02/2006 17:36

Oh Pepper, that's brilliant news!!!!!!!!!!

Nikki, I'm so sorry. You certainly don't deserve this.

PMT has finally lifted, so finding life a little easier. Stress probably isn't helping erratic cycles, but work is crazy. And I'm about to finish off a hellish long day in the office by cleaning the flat as the girl I hired to do it (don't all shout at me it's only once a fortnight for 3 hours, and DH and I work full-time) didn't turn up today.

HellKat · 21/02/2006 17:39

Muppet- Good to hear. fancy sending her around her for a while? My Monicaism is waning somewhat since i'm so knackered

muppet3 · 21/02/2006 18:24

HK - tbh you'd be welcome to her. This is the umpteenth time she's just not shown up (this time, she apparently forgot to come back from Poland how lame is that?!)

Nice to find another person suffering from Monicaism!!! Funnily enough though, hardened obsessive compulisve cleaning vanished overnight when I got pregnant last time. Suddenly I understood how nice it could be to slob out

muppet3 · 22/02/2006 08:49

You can hear the wind whistling through this discussion page ...

Oh well. Flat comprehensively cleaned in time for the skating last night. Discovered she'd been sweeping dirt behind objects for months. Don't know if that makes her lazy, or me more lazy for never having moved things myself

Nicola63 · 22/02/2006 09:05

Hi, I am new on this topic and not sure whether I should add on this very long thread, but feel it's a cheek for a total new girl to start a new one!

I had a m/c yesterday, my second one. Had an ERPC and got home last night. I am 42 and do not have any children, so this is very difficult and upsetting. Just thought I'd say hi and ask if I can hang around here sometimes?
Thanks!
Nicola

rubles · 22/02/2006 09:19

Hi Nicola63 and welcome. I am really sorry you are going through this again, you must be devastated.
Take care of yourselfxx

diddle · 22/02/2006 09:20

nicola - you can hang around here and contribute as much as you want to, there are people on here at different stages of Trying To Conceive and recovering from miscarriages. I am so so sorry to hear of your loss. We all know how you must be feeling, empty, sad, tired, and so eomtional. How are you coping? please feel free to share with us whatever you want. Mumsnet helped me more than i could ever imagine when i had my miscarriages. Please give yourself time to grieve, and don't worry about how long it takes, we are all different, just make sure you don't bottle it up, that will make it so much worse.
we're here if you need us.

Thanks. I feel a bit unreal right now, after what happened last time I had not dared to feel too much about this pregnancy, but am now more upset than I thoght I'd be. The worst thing is the feeling of I don't know if I can go through this again (and put my husband through it).

I am however having various investigations to see if we can find out the cause (have private helath insurance and these investigations are covered although fertility treatment is not).

Then will have to rethink. I was already seeing a fertility specialist, and was due to have surgery for uterine adhesions, when I unexpectedly got pregnant this time. I suppose I should definitely make sure I don't get pregnant again until after all the investigations, and the uterine surgery, are complete. It's just really hard to think right now. Also, given my age, it is hard to waste months trying NOT to conceive! when every month is precious.

My brain is very cotton woolly this morning, I think I will stay in bed a bit. I don't really know whether to cancel work committments for the rest of the week or try to just carry on as usual. Tomorrow I was supposed to go somewhere where I have to take a two hour train journey either way and then do quite a lot of walking around and hanging about the other end, as well as be really together for a meeting. I think I will cancel that anyway.

Sorry to witter on!

morning ladies how are we all??

nicola I am in a similar boat as yesterday found out they don't think mine is viable as no heartbeat and tooo small for what should be have rescan next week (friday).

well feeling weird today - angry with mother nature.not long got out of bed don't feel in any pain particular still some light bleed but nothing much else just emotional weirdness. Hate the fact that nothing is happening. Come to a decision that if we do try again, which won't be for a while cos of job worries, I am not going drs I will go epau direct if problems and drs at 12 wks can't be doing with all the tests etc for nothing in my case.

FirstNikki · 22/02/2006 12:48

ok, just been investigating online about fibroids and mc seeing as they spotted one which was squashing the sac into a crescent shape. Although they said yesterday it would not be the reason alot of write ups online say different, that small fibroids on endo wall can cause early mc due to them both fighting for space, and fibroid defo was taking more room. I think I will hold onto this reason and get this sorted before any more trying.

Nicola63 · 22/02/2006 18:30

Hi Nikki, the waiting sounds awfully hard to bear, can't they sort it out sooner? Once I knew the heartbeat was gone, I was glad to get the ERPC done as soon as I could. At least it is now over with. I feel for you, this is so hard.

A question of anyone who has had more than one m/c with ERPC: can they be rather different even if at similar stage of gestation? I'm a bit worried as I seem to be having a lot more pain this time than the last time. Maybe there is a psychological element, as I am even more upset the 2nd time around, but I don't recall it being this sore before. When I woke up from the anaesthetic this time I thought I was going to pass out again from the pain, and its been horrible sonce then.

After the last m/c I got married three days later, after flying a twelve-hour intercontinental flight and arranging the whole thing, and I seemed to manage that OK. Now I don't feel like getting out of bed!
