Hi all, we're about to start FET following an unsuccessful round of ICSI last year (well, we got the bfp, but then I miscarried shortly after Sad). But... time to get back on the bike and go again...

Anyone else going through this?

Very sorry jumping and kareba regroup with your men and don't give up. I like the attitude.
Well after going from 19 to 13 to 4, DH and I had a hideous night talking about what we would do if we were told that they were all chromosonally abnormal. More because my worries of having all bad eggs would have been confirmed and the future would have looked worrying. Anyway got the call just as I was in pre transfer acupuncture session that 3 out of the 4 embryos were normal and 1 bad. Great newsGrin so they put 2 back (one 10 cells one 8 ) and froze one 6 cells. Nearly peed on the dr doing the transfer with the full bladder for so long but 2 are on board. The CGH tests are interesting. Will be interesting to see how raspberry and I get on after these tests. Hope this has given a bit of hope out there. No BFPs here yet but lets be hopeful we can all get there x

CareBear1 · 03/04/2012 20:33

Oh and ZB sorry I got your update mixed up, great news re your lining, only a week to go!
I've had 1 IVF where we got 9 eggs, 6 blasts, 1 put back. This was FET and 2 put back. 0 BFP's! X

Hey all ((Angel walks in the room flicking her collar in the new team colours sporting her rosette with pride)) Smile

Well today I did it! I injected myself. All by myself. And it didn't hurt. DH is off having acupuncture this evening, so it was down to me to step up to the mark and feed the follies.
I am so pleased with my achievements that I am rewarding myself with a twix. Nom nom...
Other than that, Day 7 of stimming for me, feeling very tired. But my acupuncturist advised me today that this is totally normal, thank goodness. She said: "you're creating the first startings of life and all your reserves are being ploughed into this. Your body is undergoing the equivalent of at least one years worth of cycles in one, so rest up and forgive yourself for feeling tired" - Awww, she's ace and I'm feeling much better.
Made me realise just how much we're putting our bodies through ladies... So, Angel says, rest up, have a twix (other chocolate brands are available) and a cup of (insert favourite beverage) and enjoy Wink

((waving to everyone))

Finger's crossed for your two very good embryos Duggs - Here's to a successful 2ww x

Karbea · 04/04/2012 21:49

Hi all,

Just to let you know my result was negative.

We will try again, we are not sure whether to go again straightaway or for me to give up work, wait a few months and then try. We will have a review with the clinic soon to see what they say.

bugsylugs · 04/04/2012 22:41

Karbea thinking of you
Ooh like the rosettes. Jumping so motivational thank you.

JosieSmith1 · 05/04/2012 08:19

So sorry Karbea I wish there was something I could say to make you feel better. Look after yourself and allow yourselves to grieve for this cycle before you make any decisions

Good advice Angel I didn't realise what strain it has on you until you're in the midst of it all, it's more tiring than we realise sometimes. And fab that you injected yourself! I could never do that, I didn't even try!

AngelFairy · 05/04/2012 10:41

Karbea, I am so sorry to hear that ((hugs)) It is advised to give your body a rest of at least one natural cycle in between IVF cycles x

Thanks Josie. How are you coping with the 2ww? Boredom is understandable when you're not physically doing anything, although internally I'm sure it's avery different matter all together... Could you be ready to implant soon?

Morning everyone

JosieSmith1 · 05/04/2012 12:06

Angel the 2ww is driving me mad! Although I'm off work for four days after today, time off work always goes quicker, I can still bake, so I'll occupy myself with that. I could implant anytime from now until Monday I think, I'm praying if it happens I get some symptoms! We've got other distractions though - FiL is being charged at police station tomorrow for a traffic accident he had in december, which wasn't his fault, it could be really bad for him, so we're praying it isn't, so much bad news recently! Surely it's time for all our lucks to change?!

AngelFairy · 05/04/2012 12:21

Sending you lots of extra luck for this coming weekend then Joise, this thread needs a BFP...

duggs1976 · 05/04/2012 13:11

When does raspberry test?

AngelFairy · 05/04/2012 15:50

She's away for a week and tests when she gets back, I think ?

CareBear1 · 05/04/2012 16:14

So sorry Karbea sending you massive hugs. x

millymoo1234 · 05/04/2012 18:04

Hello all... A bit of the past here! I bet you all thought I had gone AWOL and forgotten about you all... Not true!!!! The actual case is that on Monday 26th march I was involved in a very serious car accident... It's taken 5 operations to put me back together and I have pins and plates all over the place... But I'm here! And alive! And counting myself a very lucky girl. I'll be in hospital for another 3 weeks and obviously the whole ivf thing has gone on hold... I'm still rooting for each and every one of you and will be lurking from time to time but for now it's just about focusing on getting myself better... Love to you all! X

zeebee1 · 05/04/2012 22:56

Millymoo!!! Oh my goodness - you poor thing! Hope you are ok now? Puts life into perspective I bet!
X

KnackeredCow · 06/04/2012 10:14

Oh Milly How awful. Wishing you a speedy recovery. How did the accident happen - sounds really nasty.

Karbea and Jumping really sorry to hear you didn't positive results this time. jumping I love your positive attitude. I definitely need to take a leaf out of your book. Karbea glad to hear you are looking to give it another go. My clinic likes normal cycles between IVF cycles to let your body settle down, but I think that time is helpful although frustrating!

AFM, well back at work now and coping a lot better. I really needed the time off I think. The two weeks back have been absolutely exhausting, which is why I've not been on the thread. But I am beginning to feel much more normal now, and even positive about giving another round a bash.
