Happy 2012, y'all!

I wish muchos amores et lucky Bambini pour all les BESH. (or at least one per person...)

KatAndKit · 01/01/2012 11:20

Bonne année mes petites schlaaaagettes. Hope that les hangovers are not too bad this morning! May 2012 be The Year of The Baybee for you all.

MadameBoodolf · 01/01/2012 12:12

Bonne Année. 2012 feels hopeful.

NortheyPole · 01/01/2012 13:28

I am determinedly looking forward. And not dwelling on the fact that I had said to myself last year that I would at least be pregnant by now.

NortheyPole · 01/01/2012 13:32

Still no period, by the way. Though I haven't bothered with metformin all holiday, so it's probably that that's delaying it. CD37 today though, 3 days longer than last cycle.

Though my boobs are as empty and insensitive as a discarded bobble hat. So it's probably nothing.

FrostytheSunshine · 01/01/2012 14:07

Happy New 2012 Hags!! Right, I'm leading the cheer, repeat after me:

We will win a baybee
We will get up diffed
We will win
We will win
We. Will. Win.

FrostytheSunshine · 01/01/2012 15:23

Yay!!! Nekkid cheering. Now we're talking.

Christmas decorations are down, aftermath of last night has been cleared up, I am reading about The Mitfords & eating an apple . Bring on 2012!

MadameBoodolf · 01/01/2012 15:46

Hmm. Not tempted to POAS then North?

MadameBoodolf · 01/01/2012 15:47

oooh Frosty I have decided to take up running. I am going to start gently - aim for ten minutes every other day to start with, and gentle pace. I am sick of self hatred and hiding from photos, and I need to boost my weight loss. I need to do stretches before I go don't I?

AriesWithBellsOn · 01/01/2012 15:55

Five reasons to love Boo -

  1. Very kind
  2. Very funny
  3. Big comforting buzzwams to snuggle into (I imagine)
  4. Always there for her friends
  5. Always says the right thing.

So there. Enough of self hatred. You are fabbluss!

Happy New Year all.

FriendofDorothy · 01/01/2012 16:09

I would like to make lots of New Years resolutions but I tend to break them... so here are the things I might/maybe achieve...

  1. Lose weight - I lost 1st 8lbs in 2011 and aim to do the same in 2012.
  2. Keep going to the gym and exercising at least 3 times a week.
  3. Do the 365 Project which is taking a photo every day of my life this year and add it to my blog and Facebook.
  4. Try not to obsess about TTC.
  5. Get pregnant.

There you go :)

NortheyPole · 01/01/2012 16:20

Yes, do stretches. It is a good habit to get into, and a nice moment of mental preparation as well. I know the self-hatred thing so well and it is wretched. Not able to look at yourself in mirrors or shop windows, not wanting to go out with friends because you feel so awful in everything you own... It is crappy, but running is the best thing I know for making weight drop, so lots of luck with it. I might try to take it up again as well. Maybe.

MadameBoodolf · 01/01/2012 16:21

Oh Rie. That brought a tears to my eyes (sentimental fool that I am). Happy New Year to you gorgoeus lady - we WILL met up this year for sure :) xxx

dor please to link to your blog or PM me? Good resolutions all.

MadameBoodolf · 01/01/2012 16:22

A tears? Better add 6) Queen of the typo!

MadameBoodolf · 01/01/2012 16:23

Ignoring my other question North? Wink

PerfectDromedary · 01/01/2012 16:26

Happy new year, BESHies!

Oooh, running! I got a lovely Garmin forerunner for Christmas, so have to get back out and pavement pounding. Might sign up for the British 10k again to try and motivate self. GorgeousBoo, google C25K - gets you off the sofa and makes 5k really achievable. But make sure you have decent trainers.

NortheyPole · 01/01/2012 16:28

My resolutions:

  1. lose weight. 1 more stone would do it. try to do it by exercising as well as by eating less.
  2. be happy and forward-looking about moving. Make something positive of it and use it as a chance of a new start.
  3. get a new job.
  4. get pregnant.
NortheyPole · 01/01/2012 16:31
  1. never ignore boo's questions, as she does not forget!

I am going to leave it a bit before POASing. Partly because "late" periods don't mean anything to me like they do to those of you with nice neat regular cycles. And partly because I don't really have any other symptoms. And partly because I really shouldn't keep buying piss sticks.

MadameBoodolf · 01/01/2012 16:32

I am scared to google that thing what you said to google, I is a bit 'fraid of big numbers Drom....

NortheyPole · 01/01/2012 16:33

What's a forerunner, camel of perfection? Will it help me become leggy and lithe and capable of running for miles without breaking sweat or losing a hair from my gaily swinging pony tail?

MadameBoodolf · 01/01/2012 16:33

:o I x posted with the moonie North

PerfectDromedary · 01/01/2012 16:41

boo it's the couch to 5k programme. Will get you from not running to running for 30 mins 3 times a week. So long as you can move from the warm, comfy sofa. I love my sofa, I do.

northbynorthwest that is EXACTLY what it does. Especially the swishy ponytail. It's not just an overpriced heart monitor/GPS thingy, oh no. Now, I am not going to shout POAS at you...until next week, anyways.
