Pre-drgs I have a really quite regular cycle, Northey. I ovulated day 14 from one side, day 16 from the other and then had a 12-13 day luteal phase. This cycle I oved on day 20 and am now 14 dpo. I think the steroids can delay Droid. I am a bit new to all this so I don't really know what is going on. I am getting some abdo rumblings though, so I think the little shiny fvker is on his way.

AriesWithBellsOn · 13/01/2012 11:52

What do we think of varying luteal phases? I notice you put 12-13 days euro. All the docs and books seem to say it's always the same. I think it can vary by a day or two, and so do lots of MNers.

Mine at the moment is 27 days with a 13-14 day LP. I have gone as long as 32 days before, after ovulating on day 18. Weird innit?

KatAndKit · 13/01/2012 12:17

Mine was generally 13-14 days. sometimes 12 if the little fucker wanted to catch me by surprise, usually 13, and sometimes 14 if he wanted me to waste more money on sticks.

Once i got a positive opk I could predict the date of my period and I was always within 24 hours either way. I think a day either way variation is totally normal.

eurochick · 13/01/2012 12:23

I think variation by a day or so is normal, just because we could ovulate at the start or end of a day, so even if the LP is a completely fixed number of hours, the number of days could vary, if you see what I mean.

When I started charting, pre-acu, nearly a year ago, my LP was 11 days. It moved up very slowly, probably due to acu and supplements. Since charting it has gone: 11, 12, 12, 12, 11, 13, 13, 12, 13, 12. If I come on today as I expect to, this will be another 13 month.

But I already have a built in "semen collector" - it's called a vagina.
Looks like a load of rubbish to me. Not even sure why this advert is on here as it is for something in America. All it is is a bunch of opks with some pointless cervical caps. Opks are cheap as chips on numerous websites. And if you want to spend money and get more sciency, shag dictator is the way to go.

Posting a thread in "site stuff" might get more of an answer perhaps. It's just so insensitive really that this advert comes up when you are looking at the conception section. preying on desperation and all that.

And no, there isn't a new way to conceive a little miracle. Generally speaking you still have to do it the old fashioned way.

CD 50 marked with another wasted £1.50.

CaveMum · 14/01/2012 12:40

Morning all, back from our dance fest which was AMAZING, some fantastic dancers were strutting their stuff. Sadly no Anton or Len, but Darren and Lilia were sat on the table behind us Grin and I stood next to Lilia in the queue for the ladies. Couldn't quite pluck up the courage to talk to her though Blush.

She is very terny - I'm only 5ft6 and was wearing 3" heels but she was a good 4 or 5 inches smaller than me. She's sporting a fringe at the moment, it looks very cute. Darren has, for some reason, grown a beard Hmm. It took us a few seconds for the penny to drop and realise who the beardy bloke was (Lilia was elsewhere when he spotted him).

Feel a bit sad we didn't get a photo with them, but they weren't performing so I felt like we'd be interrupting their evening. They did seem lovely though: lots of laughing and smiling from their table.

AriesWithBellsOn · 14/01/2012 16:48

She IS cute. She's my other Strictly girlcrush (apart from Flavia). Lilya Kopaloadova, as MrA used to call her....

Shame they left :(

FriendofDorothy · 14/01/2012 17:16

I picked mu kitty-cat up from the vet.... at the cost of nearly £500. Thank fuck for pet insurance! She seems OK and we will see how long she stays ok for.

Spent this afternoon walking across the beach and also took a lovely photo or two. On, and I managed to purchase my niece an amazing birthday present - £80 reduced to £20 in the blue cross sale. What a bargain!

Not a bad day.

eurochick · 15/01/2012 00:45

Lovely photo, Dor. And I'm glad the kitty is ok.

I got a bargain as well today - boots for work £145, down from £325. And none of the usual "fashion forward" (i.e. will look out of fashion in 10 mins' time) styling on them. Just plain black spike heel boots. In lovely butter soft leather. I am pleased. Even better, they are actually comfortable.

I'm just back from a lovely belated Xmas/NY/bday dinner at a friend's house. She had C-difficile (!) over Xmas and so had to cancel our plans twice. So it was lovely to catch up and to see her looking well again.

All in all, quite a good day (even if I didn't get to see famous people like Cavey!).

I am feeling smug. I have just done a Zumba class. On a Sunday and everything!

blonderthanred · 16/01/2012 00:24

Well done Dot and glad your pet is well. Insurance really is a lifesaver.

The BESH are quiet this evening, has the Cumbersnatch's fall to not-death rendered everyone speechless?

Northey · 16/01/2012 10:02

We are a bit quiet at the moment, aren't we. I am mostly glooming in my new location (I miss my old home!) and feeling glumly certain that ongoing lack of period (accompanied by a few bfns, of course) indicates a further failure to respond to ANYTHING to get my cycles in order.

Really I should get up and go for a walk.

MadameBoolala · 16/01/2012 13:27

Working full time. Less time to post. Back to work now. Quick smooches to all.

FriendofDorothy · 16/01/2012 13:28

Well the droid has started. Just feeling a sense of overwhelming melancholy about it all. Like anything we do is pointless at this point.

CaveMum · 16/01/2012 18:39

Evening all, it is quiet here of late.

Not much to report in my world, shag dictator is activated so we'll see what it brings.

Did we all watch Sherlock last night? I won't say anything in case anyone hasn't seen it yet, but wow! And just how utterly lickable is Mr Cumberbatch??!!
