Ooo have fun LP! A BESH-meet sounds like fun [jealous]

Northey · 10/01/2012 18:40

laura and euro, I am madly jealous of your evening together, even if it was a traumatic thing that inspired it. Have a wonderful time. I am going to watch some football in the freezing cold (as part of my attempts not to sit indoors being depressed in my new home, but to Get Out and Join In). I would far rather that Getting Out and Joining In involved a nice Camden bar, I must say.

Northey · 10/01/2012 18:43

I very much hope that you will e making out, drunken or not.

MadameBoolala · 10/01/2012 18:59

Oh I am so Envy of the ESH meet, I am so glad that you are meeting up though. Have a wonderful evening and please to update us throughout.

CaveMum · 10/01/2012 19:39

My usual droidal sweet tooth had kicked in. I am currently baking a chocolate cola cake, courtesy of James Martin Grin
I'll let you all know if it is a success or not [pig]

InTheSunshine · 10/01/2012 21:10

Ah a BESH date!! Have a lovely time Smile

It's interesting to read about PCOS. Weird how you read that there are definite signs but everyone I know has completely different symptoms.

Sorry to hear of sad cat news Dot.

I don't have a pet. What does this say about me? Incapable of caring for anything?

Is that cake ready Cave?

InTheSunshine · 10/01/2012 22:04

Anyone watching the baboon programme? When the females are most fertile their arse swells up & turns red. Interesting option. Also the Alpha male can have sex every 15 minutes.....

CaveMum · 10/01/2012 22:10

Hmm, cake ready and cooled: tasty but not sure it is a great success. It has risen a lot but when I cut into it, it sorted of deflated!

Oh well, it is chocolatey and edible do that'll do me Grin

LaLauraDePalmer · 10/01/2012 22:10

Just so you know, Euro is lovely and amazing (and disgustingly pretty and fit!)

I think we should have a nation-wide ESH meet up.

LaLauraDePalmer · 10/01/2012 22:11

Ummmmmm. Is it wrong to want a baboon ass?

LaLauraDePalmer · 10/01/2012 22:11

*country, NOT county... whole different lot

eurochick · 10/01/2012 22:19

I had a lovely BESH evening. Laura Palmer is slim and lovely (her description of herself did really not do her justice!) and very easy to talk to. I usually hate meeting new people when not drinking but she made it very easy. A BESH country house meet up sounds ace. Although we'd need some kind of it's a knockout course where we could all beat one another up when things turn inevitably violent.

CaveMum · 10/01/2012 22:39

Tres jealous LP & Euro Envy

We should all book into one of those spa resorts for a weekend and drink copious amounts of cocktails and should a bitch-fight break out we can all push each other in the pool Grin

All joking aside, I'd be up for a nationwide BESH meet up. I'm in East Angular so can more or less get to most places pretty easily.

Northey · 10/01/2012 22:47

I wouldnt say no to some real life gin and Maltesers consumption.

blonderthanred · 11/01/2012 01:59

Glad you had a nice evening LP and Euro. Next time you'll have to do some live commentary on mn, or perhaps a satellite link-up.

I didn't want your excellent pop culture reference to go unacknowledged Cave. However small and humble it was.

Night night Beshers

Northey · 11/01/2012 10:40

BFN again. Enormous sigh. Don't know why I keep wasting my money. This must mean my cycles are just fucking up again. Full of gloom.

eurochick · 11/01/2012 10:47

I got a BFN too. I only tested so I would know if I should stop the steroids. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. I haven't felt any pg symptoms this month.

Northey · 11/01/2012 11:12

No, nor me. I don't know why I did.

Anywhere in the Q Hotels range usually does the spa deal (lunch, dinner, breakfast and 2 treatments) for about £110 based on 2 sharing a room.
I went to one in Nottingham which was rather nice as a hen weekend, and also to one in Stratford, which was a posher hotel but had no bloody jacuzzi. Who goes to a spa weekend with no jacuzzi? Was fun anyway.

I think if you google something like spa deals or similar some good offers ought to come up.
I might be a bit busy in the spring summer period mind you.

CaveMum · 11/01/2012 15:02

Bugs I'm definitely in. I'm about 20 mins from Cambridge so trains (or driving) to pretty much anywhere is feasible.

[gives Bugs a "Organiser" lapel badge]

[cops a feel while pining it on]

MadameBoolala · 11/01/2012 17:45

Can't afford to go on my hols with the ESH but maybe I'll come and visit you for a drink :)

CaveMum · 11/01/2012 17:52

Well I have Kat's CBFM and have been to Boots and purchased some weeing sticks - if anyone is interested Boots currently have a buy 1 get 1 half price offer on all pregnancy/ovulation tests. Saved me £12.50!

Anyhoo, I asked for advice on the CBFM thread regarding my Clomid and was told that the advice is not to wee until after you finish your tablets, which for me will be Sunday, though I have reset the monitor and will input my cycle day tomorrow.

Feel like I'm starting a new chapter Grin

[eats a huge slice of collapsed cola cake & offers the rest around]

FriendofDorothy · 11/01/2012 18:25

Well good news and bad news for my cat Delilah. She has renal failure so the vet has put her on a drip for a couple of days to see if her blood results improve. After that she should be able to come home with a special diet but she will never recover and at some point she will be just too poorly. I still feel just a bit relieved even though I know it is delaying the inevitable.

KatAndKit · 11/01/2012 18:28

I'm sorry it's not better news dor :( I'm glad she will be able to go home and hopefully she will have a good while before she is too sick. It's horrid to lose a pet.
