A kippering or a kidneying?

CaveMum · 05/01/2012 08:09

The jury is out on that one!

I'll go with kippering for now as it's WAY too early to pee on anything, toilet seat or otherwise Wink. Droid is not due till around 14th.

blackteaplease · 05/01/2012 10:09

Bounjour Le BESH! How is everyone doing this fine and windy january? My plan to shag lots over Christmas was foiled by not ovulating until we were visiting friends for 5 nights and sleeping in a room with the child. Not good, but fingers crossed.

I am having new year's resolution fail as the reality of being back at work kicks in. I am currently mainlining coffee as we speak.

FriendofDorothy · 05/01/2012 11:03

Morning. I have just woken up - didn't realise I was that tired!

KatAndKit · 05/01/2012 11:23

Bonjour thé noir ca va bien merci. bollocks to the late ovulation but hopefully you are still in with a fair chance anyway.

I have just got a total soaking getting from car to house. Grrrr. Staying in for the day now, no way am I driving anywhere in this horrid weather.

eurochick · 05/01/2012 11:28

Bonjour tous le monde!

Je suis desolé pour ton -ve, Northy, mais it ain't over yet!

Je suis tres fatigue. I started the steroid treatment for the NK cells yesterday. I do recall the consultant mentioning something about sleep problems. I had forgotten but I remembered at about 2am, when I was watching the clock go round! I really hadn't expected the side effects to start from day 1. Still, if it works... I'm at my desk, feeling jet lagged today.

Northey · 05/01/2012 12:22

Pauvre europoulet. Ca sounds awful. But, like you say, if it works... And it sounds like your body is definitely responding to it. Any other effects so far?

Northey · 05/01/2012 12:25

How are they monitoring, btw?

eurochick · 05/01/2012 12:32

No monitoring as such of the pred (and no other side effects yet, although I do feel a bt like I am full of adrenaline - I will have a google to see if that is a side effect). My next appointment is for a scan in the middle of my next cycle. As you are on it for less than 2 weeks at a time when not pg, I don't think there is any need. I think they start monitoring BP and stuff if you have to stay on it when you are pg, but I haven't got that far.

From the Pred fred it seems like this is normal. :(

Northey · 05/01/2012 16:06

No comforting anecdotes about how it only lasts for the first few nights
or anything?

eurochick · 05/01/2012 16:14

Some of the ladies on there do say it eases off a bit after a few nights, but others seem to be exhausted throughout their time on it. I am figuring that after a few nights of only a couple of hours' sleep I will be knackered enough to get one decent one in and can then start the cycle again!

Buggs, I don't know if anyone has told you but the first droid after a m/c can be very heavy. I didn't know and had to scrounge tampons and pads from the ladies at work.

KatAndKit · 05/01/2012 18:53

Don't forget the beret and the baguette under the arm!

First mc droid is a good thing. As you say, lets you know your body is good to go again, and especially after the vanishing droid act you had last year, I'm sure it will be reassuring for you if the fecker turns up promptly for you now. Obviously it doesn't feel good when it happens, but is still a positive sign that your body has recovered.

What is this pred stuff euro and what is it supposed to do exactly? Fingers crossed that the side effects means it is doing something.

What's wrong with Buggerlugs with no number? Did someone already have that one?
