battery, lovely to read your good news.

I think I'm going to wait and get all my various test results and go and see Mr S before doing anything rash. I don't know about calling Louise. I've never spoken to her before. I don't think I'm far enough in the system of seeing Mr S privately to discuss anything yet anyway until all my test results are back. I know for a fact that I can't afford Mr Lower, so that's that!

battery, fabulous news!!!

kittens Who on earth could afford to see him, at those prices! I think your approach sounds sensible, and hopefully takes some of the stress off you. When will you get all your results through, do you know?

Yay battery, that's fab!!

That will keep you going for at least a few days before you start mentalling again...Do you have one more scan with st marys?

Kittens, it all sounds like a nightmare and I wish I has some words of wisdom for you. Are you going to try go back to your gp to see if there is anything the Nhs can do?

PQ that is awful about the procedure to get rid of scarring having then caused more scarring! And ovary stuck to bladder doesn't sound much fun either.

I am on the train to London from Chester, in London until 6am Friday then going to Surrey (following scan on fri we have to spend night with BIL as MIL is visiting) chiswick (friend's party on sat night) Brighton, Caribbean so it's all a bit complicated and won't be able to make lunch on Saturday. In fact I have to unpack from rhis week and pack for the holiday today when get home so dh can take my case to work tomorrow morning as that will be the last time I am at home in London before travelling around! I live out a bloody suitcase. Am tired just thinking about it all. Willske the next one though! Am bsck on 14th.

Crossed posts kittens. I think that is a good idea, mr s will know what to do.

They said the scarring isn't extensive but they think the lining is probably not getting thick enough. I can't help thinking that maybe Mr S can recommend something to help build up the lining, like progesterone or something. There is always the risk with a hysteroscopy that I will end up with worse or similar scarring anyway but I'd like to hear what he has to say about it.

I am due to have my Day 21 test towards the end of next week, which, apart from my OH's sperm analysis is the final test. If I have it on the NHS it will take about a week to get the results by which time I will be on holiday in Turkey for a week (god, how I need that!) so I reckon I will book an appointment shortly after my return on 20 Feb.

free how is your Nan by the way?

Kittens am so sorry you are having such a s**t time of it and can understand how angry you must be!!! NHS can be totally crap, I had two lots of laparoscopy's and hysteroscopy's and they told me there was abosloutley nothing wrong and then when I was referred for IVF had one quick scan and they said did you not know you had pcos!!!! They make you sooo angry and its so frustrating how long everything takes. Angry Can totally understand about wanting to go privately and just get it sorted, the waiting around is very hard.

kittens really feel for you in this situation Sad. But I guess the financial side of things has steered you towards making some decision in your next steps.

free woah, that does sound like a lot of travelling. Please don't forget to take it easy! You ARE pregnant, no matter how much you keep trying to deny it!

battery hooray for wriggly bean!!! Very very pleased for you chook! Are you past your last mc milestone now? When is your next scan?

picolina lurking for news from you too.

I had my MW appointment today. HB found quickly, all good there (nothing like hearing your baby's heratbeat!). GTT results are normal, which is a relief. Discussed birth options! I said I'd like to go for the birthing centre which she seemed to think would be perfect for me. She described it like a hotel. Double bed, ensuite, birthing pool, very relaxing yadda yadda yadda. Then we go home together! So hopefully, if everything goes ok I can totally bypass the post-natal ward (which wasn't very nice last time).

Mentioned my dizzy spells and tiredness, they test my iron levels at this stage anyway - but she said it could just be that I need to rest more! Will try to - from next week. This week I have Yoga on Thursday night, volunteering at DS's pre-school on Friday morning, followed by lunch at a friend's house. Then driving north to see some friends for dinner on Saturday night. Not quite as jet-setty as free's schedule, but enough to make me think I don't want to do ANYTHING on Sunday.

Kittens I would see Dr Lower and get his opinion as you dont have to book in with him. At least you will have the chance to ask questions etc. What thickness is your lining then? I was going to ask what made you think you had Ashermans in the first place seeing as most of the docs told you otherwise?
If NLC can get your lining thicker would you be able to carry a pregnancy? I have no idea what the thickness should even be!

Dont forget I had a 21 day ovu test with NLC and they said I didnt ov but that was the month I did and went on to have a chemical pregnancy. Louise said sometimes blood tests are not 100% effective in picking up OV! That was one way for me to waste £60 by having it done!!!

I still think that I want to avoid anyone messing around with hysteroscopies etc as wonder if they do more damage than good.

Well done Battery on the scan and congrats to Merc for the BFP!

For those that are TTC, Amazon have first response preg tests for £5.81 at the mo (double pack).

sue, it was the fact that my periods are so light and short and also the fact that I have cramping all the way through my cycle which I never had before that made me wonder about Asherman's. I don't know how thick my lining is as I need to have that scan mid cycle so I will book that for next week.

Once I have all those test results I can take it from there. I will decide, once I've seen Mr S, whether to go to Mr Lower for his opinion. Whatever he says I still can't afford to be treated by him!

Report
suemays · 25/01/2012 16:46

Ha ha Ari maybe I should go to POAS anonymous! I only had one double pack left so thought I had better stock up for next week. I know I will prob end up testing every day if I do get a BFP incase of another chemical, at least it saved me the expense of the intrallipids etc. This week seems to be dragging, roll on the weekend!!

Kittens did you have light periods etc before you went on the steroids? The steroids have done that to me but I am guessing it has been going on a while for you??? At least if you see Dr Lower he might say your scarring is not that extensive and then you would assume that another surgeon could perform it?
