I'm not going to test until 12DPO sue ... given that I tested on the 'approved' 10DPO last time and got a faint line (that of course turned out to be an early miscarriage), I would utterly freak if I got another faint line on 10DPO. I've never had a good result before 12DPO previously anyway, so I'm just going to wait. That would make me testing on ... hmm .. Wed 1st Feb. But as I said earlier, for some reason I am in a rather "don't give a monkey's" frame of mind for some strange reason this time. I think I'm just utterly fed up of the whole thing - the stress, the worry, the huge amount of supplements etc I'm now taking every morning, the cost of the whole lot if I do manage to get pregnant again, which in all truth I can't really afford. The last lot rather wiped out my bank balance, plus it's OH's 50th early Feb so all my 'spare' money has already been spent until next payday in the middle of Feb. I'm honestly wondering how much longer I want to put myself through this. But we'll see :)

So how are you keeping yourself sane for the next week then sue? :)

Pebbles73 · 23/01/2012 13:54

Thanks everyone for welcoming me on the thread. Not sure I am going to be able to keep up with you, couldn't belive how many messages there were since I looked yesterday! I am not allowed to use the internet at work or use my mobile until lunch times (the company I work for are great but treat you like children in this respect) so can't read it until around 1ish.
Free I am so happy for you making it into the 2nd trimester and on your last day of steriods. You just have to try and relax a little now (prob fairly impossible I know!) as you are doing so well. :)
Good luck to the ladies on thier 2ww will be hoping to see good news.
I wish somebody had told me about the killer cell thing years ago, am so thankful to Free for making me go and test although I of course wish she never had to go through any of this herself.

digitalgirl · 23/01/2012 14:38

Good luck to duggs today

Thanks to ari and sue for updating the list.

free you are steroid-free today! Not long till you can stop popping the progesterone. Less than 3 weeks right?

Spd pain seems to have calmed down today. Have a spot in the ante-natal group physiotherapy class on Monday so hopefully learn something useful.

So sleepy at work...watching cartoons is not helping!

Also lurking for news from coley

Thanks for the IVF advice Pebbles

Lotion I know how you feel. I joined the thread before I was tested to ask the posters here some questions but always felt like a bit of an interloper. Unhappily, I found out that I do belong here after all!

Free that is great news!

I am sure there were other people I was planning to reply to... I will check in again later.

Arianrhod · 23/01/2012 14:51

I think no-one can be thought of as an interloper to be honest, if someone has an enquiry about anything to do with the treatments we're discussing, whether or not they are diagnosed, then they're very relevant to this thread. I can't speak for everyone on the thread, of course I can't, but that's how I look at it.

duggs1976 · 23/01/2012 15:02

I'm out of the hospital gown! Smile they didn't find anything wrong with my uterusGrin so i can carry on ttc as usual in feb! If I wasn't on dr s programme I'd be disappointed as no diagnosis. At least I've checked and can carry on with super ov. They won't let me go until DH arrives and god knows where he is on a40 somewhere? Waves to everyone and pebbles I drink ESP wine on metformin! Probably shouldn't but if I don't id be in the psyche unit Smile any scans today ladies?

ChoccyPud · 23/01/2012 15:38

Talking of random enquiries - Ari and Free- appetite on hydroxy. Total opposite to humongous appetite while on Pred?

I feel v little desire to eat a lot of the time which believe me is damn weird for me. Couldn't finish dinner the other night. Only thought of eating lunch on Sat when I noticed the time. The only thing that's changed since I noticed this is going on the hydroxy.

Hopefully this along with dragging my Mr Greedy belly down the gym will cause said belly to retreat a bit before it gets all Pred-ed up again.

Duggs glad you're out and have results. Another thing crossed off the list I guess?!

digitalgirl · 23/01/2012 15:52

Yay for perfectly normal uterus duggs!

Yawn...have a 5pm client meeting. Who the hell thought that was a good idea?

OP posts:
Arianrhod · 23/01/2012 16:33

choccy If I remember right free said that appetite thing happened to her with the hydroxy. I cant say it's happened to me but I never have much of an appetite at the best of times.. So how on earth I've managed to put on a stone and a half in the past 2 years is beyond me!! :) I need to get myself on the old exercise machine really, but finding the time is proving difficult.

Arianrhod · 23/01/2012 16:34

Bugger, hit Post before I finished. duggs just wanted to say excellent that they didn't find anything!

snoopygirl · 23/01/2012 17:11

Well done duggs. One less hurdle to climb as it were.

Just got blood results back and as expected HCG level had dropped to 2. So I am armed with my Letrozole and Ovitrelle injection down chemist waiting to be picked up. No panic for that yet though as still no proper period but will be iminent I'm sure.

Waiting to see how Coley got on with scan. Looked up on list earlier and can't believe she is 10 weeks, it flies by when it's not you. When it is you every day seems like a week!

good luck ari and Sue lets hope this is your month.

hopefulfor2nd · 23/01/2012 17:29

Yay duggs! Good news x x
Snoopy, sorry to hear its def been a chem. I've had a few and its horrible to start bleeding so quickly. In my cases, I was only knocked out a few days, bled slightly heavier but was able to continue ttc next month no probs.

I've got a horrible tummy bug, freaking out that Todays pred won't have had chance to work. But nothing I can do, so fingers crossed x

Meeting at 5 urgh!
Waves to all x x

Stogan · 23/01/2012 17:31

Yey duggs

lurking for exciting scan news from Coley hope to hear soon as the matchsticks holding my eyes open are soon going to cave under the pressure of my sleep deprived existence !!! Wink

hopefulfor2nd · 23/01/2012 17:35

Missed pq post, sorry to hear af arrived hun. Hope its over quickly and onto next month! I've always read that you're more fertile after a m/c so maybe the same for chems? Actually, I always felt the same loss for chems as later m/c, it doesn't make it any easier. X x x

ColeyOz · 23/01/2012 18:51

Hi all - sorry I haven't updated yet! The scan went well - its really starting to look like a baby and moving around with a lovely heartbeat:) All booked in for my nuchal/12 week scan at hospital in a few weeks too.

Duggs - that's good news that all is OK with your uterus. At least you can stop worrying and concentrate on the NKs:)

Sue and ari - I really do feel for you during the 2WW - i found it absolute torture. Looking forward to hearing your news.

Hope everyone else is well:)

ColeyOz · 23/01/2012 18:54

I also wanted to check with you ladies in your 2nd trimester about whether I need to see Dr S at 14 weeks or not. What is the reason for that appointment?

Pebbles73 · 23/01/2012 18:56

Thanks Duggs just wasn't sure if I was meant to stop drinking completely so glad to hear I can still have some wine :). Glad everything was ok today and you can carry on ttc next month. I will be starting next month too.

Coconutfeet · 23/01/2012 19:59

So sorry to hear about the chemicals. It?s just such a disappointment. Really hope your cycles get back to normal nice and quickly so that you can move on.

Welcome to Pebbles. Sorry you find yourself here but do make yourself at home! I can never keep up with the messages either as don?t have time to access MN at work.

Free ? Hurrah to a pred-free pregnancy. Does it feel strange?

Duggs ? Great news that you have a problem-free uterus.

Glad the scan went well, Coley. I think I didn?t see Mr S at 14 week, or was it 15. That was the last appointment though as he signed me back to the NHS after that.

Hope the TWW isn?t too much torture for everyone who is waiting. Fingers crossed for some good news soon.

I?m feeling really fed up today. Put an offer in on a house last week and have heard today that they vendors have decided not to sell after all. Really disappointed. There is precisely nothing else on the market that we?re interested in/can afford, and I?m worried about time running out and losing out buyers and being stuck in a one bed flat with two kids. Having thought that we could easily rent if we can?t find anything, I?ve had a look around and realised that it?s going to be nigh on impossible to find anything as we?re in the middle of the Olympic zone and everyone who has property to rent is planning on cashing in by renting for thousands of pounds a week. Gah!

freelancegirl · 23/01/2012 20:21

Great news about the uterus Duggs

Coley, great about the scan too! You must be so relieved. I think the regular scans with Mr S are just to check everything is going ok and to have a look at the baby. When would be the last time you were meant to see him? I have gone a bit off-piste as it were so am seeing him at 15 weeks and not sure what happens after that either.

Pebbles (feels rather funny communicating with you here rather than just texting as normal! But I am still here for both of course) noooooooo to the stoppng drinking! Even Mr S says it?s ok. Obviously he might not anticipate us being raging alcoholics but hey? Pebbles we also need to add you to the list now you have officially stopped lurking.

Sorry about the house offer Coconut. How frustrating they decided not to sell. I had a similar thing with DH?s flat the other month ? we agreed a sale and then just as we were about to exchange the buyer decided she didn?t want to buy! The property had been off the market for 4 months thanks to them. Hey you can rent my two bedroom with a garden if you fancy, we are going to be putting it up for rent soon at a standard, non-Olympic price. Nice area, close to the heath and good for transport. But only two beds. And I realise your preferred option is to buy.

I wouldn?t worry about tummy bug affecting Pred Hopeful. It takes a while to get out your system at the best of times.

Sorry it was definitely a chemical Snoopy, hopefully Hopeful is right and it will mean you are super fertile this month!

Good luck with the 2ww Sue and Ari!

Definitely a loss of appetite on the hydroxy Choccy. It?s great! Helped me lose a couple of miscarriage/Pred/pregnancy pounds before this pregnancy. Have put it back on big style but it was a nice relief from Pred Munching.

Digi I was sorry to hear about your sitting on the tube injury! How frustrating and painful. You?re doing so well juggling everything you have on at the moment. You really seem to take it all in your stride.

Lovely to wake up in the morning and only have a hydroxy and no Pred. My drug count is now down to a rather piddly 12 a day Grin

Two pregnancy things from me today. I received a letter from Epsom hospital with a date for a booking in appt, so I am now not hospital-less! Trouble is it is when I am away so i will have to call and change it for after Feb 14th. Means (if still pregnant of course?) that I will be 'booked in' at around 17 weeks pregnant. Is that ok do you think? I have had all the scans etc so it's no bearing on that. Still potentially worrying that the hospital is quite far away from me. But then I haven?t even thought of the possibility that I might have to give birth at some point, so I will get to that somewhere further down the line! Appointments I can handle.

Secondly I picked up my Doppler before coming to Nan's and have just used it for the first time. It took me a whole 6 minutes to get there but I think I found a heartbeat eventually! And there was a bit of random banging which I am not sure but might have been the baby moving around...?

Waves to anyone I have missed

digitalgirl · 23/01/2012 20:30

yay coley for good scan news!!! And well done for sorting out nuchal. Let us know the date so we can lurk accordingly.

coconuts sorry about the sale falling through Sad. Buying really is so so stressful. Is there any scope for you moving out of the area and cashing in on the olympic rental thing yourselves? Or will that affect DS's school situation?

snoopy sorry you got your CP confirmation today Sad. Bleeding will probably increase once you stop the cyclogest and hopefully cycle will return to normal pretty quick as it has for other on here.

PQ Sad that the same's happened to you too.

picolina I'll add your 6 week scan on Weds to the list. How far along are you now or are you waiting for the scan to get a measurement?

hopeful hope tummy bug clears up soon. Do you think it's maybe a digestive thing caused by all the drugs?

I have an alien in my tummy this evening. Seems to have acquired several more limbs than normal and is thrashing around in all directions at once. Currently cooking soup for tomorrow's lunch, then have to prep tomorrow's dinner. Then planning on going to bed as soon as possible after that.

x-posted with free huzzah for having a hospital! I think I was booked in with DS when I was 16 weeks, having already had a 12 week scan. Didn't really make any difference. Think of all the women that move houses while pregnant and have to find a new hospital in their 2nd or 3rd trimester.

And lol at 'taking it all in my stride' - striding is exactly the sort of thing that is challenging me at the moment! But thanks for making me feel as though I know what I'm doing. I'm trying my best to enjoy and appreciate my life right now, as difficult as it might be. I'm so aware how much of this pregnancy has been about wishing time away...

Hello :)

Hurray for coley and duggs. Really pleased for the good news today :)

A bit of a me worry and question........ For the first time today I have suffered a flare up of my IBS. I am worried my immune system is fighting back a bit? Am I worrying for nothing? I had my bloods taken last week at my booking in and my white cells were up a bit. I haven't seen the dr yet - just took a peek at my results ( I work there).

I have my scan on wednesday and am just a bit anxious.

Sorry for not name checking xx

Stogan · 23/01/2012 21:18

Battery my white cells were up after my booking in too , they wanted to re test me but made me wait all weekend, turned out it was nothing at all Hun sofingers crossed yours is the same xx

digitalgirl · 23/01/2012 21:21

battery the IBS could well be a digestive thing from all the progesterone in your body. Not only is your placenta taking over and producing more hormones than your corpus luteum, but you're also taking cyclogest. Worth dropping Louise a line though and get her much more professional opinion on it.

OP posts:
batteryhen · 23/01/2012 21:23

Thanks stogan. They were only up a bit, my IBS is stress related too - my mum is going into hospital tomorrow for a big op so I am worried about that too. Along with the scan etc. I just have days where I don't feel pregnant etc so I am feeling anxious too about that.
