Battery am having a little chuckle at the fact your posts are exactly the same as mine but just a few weeks behind :) My white cell count was a bit high too, but Mr S said that's nothing to worry about, and my worry like your IBS worry was that the allergic reaction to my wedding ring that I got with the first pregnancy of 2011 was a sign my immune system was kicking off too! And so far it seems it is all ok. Also still having those pregnant/non pregnant days. All the time. In fact it changes every minute. It helps me when I get people who are further down the line telling me they had the same thing! So I hope this helps you too. Gosh what a mentalling journey this all is.

hi digi,
i think im starting my 7th week this week, not sure why they are doing it , prob to confirm heartbeat? i have another one in two weeks then im not sure whats going to happen.

i have a question regarding cyclogest pessaries, ive noticed they are getting a bit harder to put in , any tips? its been easy so far. i have to use them till week 16.

batteryhen · 24/01/2012 09:17

free It's all such a worry isn't it? I feel ok this morning, tummy is still a bit sore from my IBS attack yesterday, but I suppose the scan will tell all tomorrow.
picolina - Excuse me asking - but where are you putting it? Front or back? I used the front for the first day then decided I didn't want anything irritating me up there and used the back. I have to do it twice a day too so am quite used to it now. Top tip is to lay on your left side to insert it , that way the colon etc lies the right way and makes it easier for insertion :)
Didn't say hello to pebbles before Hellooooooo!

Havingkittens · 24/01/2012 09:18

Just a quickie from me as I'm getting ready to go and have a load of foam injected into my womb Shock - I'm slightly "eeewww" at the idea of that foam coming back out again!

So sorry for PQ and Snoopy, how bloody frustrating to have a glimmer of hope dashed like that. God, this really is a rollercoaster isn't it?

Battery, I still have IBS on the Pred. Like you, anxiety can bring it on big time and I don't think the pred side effects help at all. I hope all goes well with your mum's op.

I had a reply from Cheryl yesterday that gave me the right giggles. I had asked her the price for a semen analysis. Apparently it's £150 with an additional £10 handling fee. Grin I think £10 is pretty good for a hand job. Maybe they do a special offer after the first £150 you spend. They may want to re-think their terminology. lol.

batteryhen · 24/01/2012 09:34

kittens Grin What a bargain! Goof luck with the foam!

freelancegirl · 24/01/2012 09:39

Pico are you under Mr S as well? The first scan will be to check it is in the right place, look for a heartbeat etc and the next ones are to check it is growing and all looks good. I know the tendency is to think why do I need to have them but if there are things that look a bit concerning he can address them - so well worth doing all scans scheduled.

As a 'front inserter' with the cyclogest I would say just lie down and pop it in like a tampon. Do it last thing at night and then you have more chance of it being absorbed.

£10 handling fee is a bargain Kittens. I like a happy ending Grin

May I ask what the foam injection is about? Am trying to figure out whether it could be rmc connected but can't quite make a connection...

Good luck tomorrow Battery! I am worried re Friday too. Yesterday, being my first day without the Pred, I also forgot to take my aspirin until I went to bed and only realised this morning that I had forgotten the Cyclogest!! I popped one in this morning to make up for it. But it seems I was rather unusually relaxed about the meds.

batteryhen · 24/01/2012 09:47

free Have you stopped the pregnacare too?

freelancegirl · 24/01/2012 10:02

No, Battery I think I am carrying on with that. A lot of people take it throughout pregnancy. I am still taking:

AM: Hydroxy (initially Mr S said until 16 weeks but he is still deciding)
Mid AM: Aspirin (due to stop at 20 weeks)
Main Meal: Pregnacare plus Omega 3, Vitamin D and Selenium. I think I will ask Mr S about this lot. The selenium was just something I added myself after a bit of Dr Googling.
Bedtime: Cyclogest (scheduled to stop at 16 weeks but I am away that week so might stop at 17 when I come back)
Bedtime: Thyroxine (as I always do)

Are you going to stop the vits? I know most people on the thread have. Anyone else carried on with them? I have to admit I am rather fed up of them, but feel they might be good to take anyway. Before all this miscarriage business I was taking a variety of sports/fitness aiding supplements so I guess there's no reason I can't carry on rattling.

Arianrhod · 24/01/2012 10:10

Morning all! Just thought I'd say, when I was pg with DD I took pregnancy supplements right throughout, as well as Omega 3 throughout, because I didn't see any reason to stop them. After all, your body is nourishing the baby right throughout, right? And Omega 3 is critical for good brain development, which continues in the baby right throughout the pregnancy, obviously. I did mention to Mr S about this some time back when we were discussing supplements, and he was ok with me continuing with Omega 3 throughout a pregnancy - should I ever get that far of course!

I have to say, I rattle with the supplements I take every day :( And to think, before I got pg with DD all those years ago the only thing I ever took was one multivit and one evening primrose oil a day. How things have changed!!

kittens good luck with the foam (I understand the ewwwww) and I LMAO at the 'handling fee' Grin

/waves to all

Arianrhod · 24/01/2012 10:13

Argh sorry all, utterly rubbish day so far, brain is obviously frazzled since I just reread what I posted and noticed a positive surfeit of "throughout"s. Forgive the disjointed posting! How can just one day of 25mg pred cause interrupted sleep? Yet it did .. I was awake at 2:30 and again around 4:10, after not being able to get to sleep until about 11:30. One tiny tablet caused that??

I shall try to make sure my postings at least make some kind of coherent sense before hitting the Post button!!

freelancegirl · 24/01/2012 10:19

It all made sense to me! I think I will take mine throughout too, although not beat myself up if I occasionally miss a day. I was a bit worried about missing the Cyclogest last night though. Although a lot of the times people only seem to be on it until 12 weeks anyway, as I think the placenta takes over hormone production around that time doesn't it? Either way I will keep popping those pessaries until 16 weeks or more just in case.

I find the first couple of days on the Pred are the worst sleep wise, then you start to get used to it.

eurochick · 24/01/2012 10:36

free I was the same. The first night on the pred was the worst for me and then I wouldn't say I slept well, but I didn't sleep quite as poorly as that first night.

LOL@the "handling fee".

I cannot believe how many of us there are on this thread now! There are 28 entries on today's table!

Buster76 · 24/01/2012 10:57

Morning all!
Blimey I cant keep up with all the news!
Nice scan news coley
Glad all ok with the uterus duggs
Yeeehh 2nd trimester free and no more steroids!
Sorry to hear about the chemicals Sad
Hope alls well with the scan tomorrow battery
Hello pebbles

Well I'm confused.com!! Second month of 'trying' CD16 today, usually 32 day cycle. Started using opk CD10, no smiley face yet, however had some bleeding this morning - should be ovulating really!? What is going on?! Help!
My first cycle of steroids made me a week late! Dont know what is going on! Should we continue to try? Or should I give the steroiods a miss this month?

One born every minute on again tomorrow. Torture myself again!! I should be use to it now, I'm a neonatal nurse!

Hello to everyone!
xxx

batteryhen · 24/01/2012 10:59

I think it is really lovely that there are so many of us to offer support and advice :)

I think I will take the vits all the way through. On the advice sheet from Mr S it does say to stop at 12 weeks but to carry on with a pregnancy vitamin & omega 3? So may as well just carry on as usual!

My tablet regime is : cylclogest first thing, pred and vit d3 at breakfast. Aspirin at lunch, pregnacare at dinner and another cyclogest and clexane at bedtime. I need to carry on with the aspirin until 34 weeks and clexane until 6 weeks after the baby is born ( if I get that far!)

ChoccyPud · 24/01/2012 11:55

It's so hard to keep up with everyone though! Also it shows me how out of it I've been with eg Battery suddenly quite a few weeks pg. I'm thinking how did that happen?! Where's the time gone?! It must be 2 months since my last mc already. And I feel like its been (another) total blur. Don't remember much of our London night out for instance. :(

Oh well best look forward- it's less than two months til March. Not that af has turned up and was due yday. Pah.

Arianrhod · 24/01/2012 12:00

I know exactly how you feel choccy, it's almost as if time has stood still for me, but absolutely flown by in relation to everyone else! How bizarre ...

snoopygirl · 24/01/2012 12:04

Hi,

just mailed midwife at nlc. I asked her advice re taking the letrozole on day 2 for sup ov and about booking in for follcle scan next week and she said the recommendation is to take a month off as the chance of miscarriage is increased. I don't want to take a f**king month off!!!!!!!!! I haven't got a spare month!

aarggh ..... as far as I know Sue carried on after her chem last month why not me?

Arianrhod · 24/01/2012 12:28

Was that Louise, snoopy? Mr S also advised me to wait one month after my early MC, which I wanted to do anyway to have one proper AF before trying again. I absolutely understand your feeling you are running out of time, but even with being an oldie (44 now :) ) I didn't want to run the risk of running straight back into another miscarriage. Do understand your frustration though!

snoopygirl · 24/01/2012 12:34

yes it was her ari. I dont' know what to do now.

freelancegirl · 24/01/2012 12:47

I understand your frustration too Snoopy. I had to wait two cycles after the miscarriage on treatment, although I had been 8 weeks by the time of the ERPC. Have they says why you should wait after a chemical? Ari could be right, frustrating though it is there might be a good reason for it. We can all relate to that feeling if running out of time but in the scheme of things an extra 4 weeks might not really matter on the long run. Although we sby going to are all getting older I think we can be hopeful that from one month to the next our eggs are in pretty similar condition and when you do have a baby four weeks will probably not make much difference. I know that horrible feeling of having been set back though, so I do emphasise.

cherrycheeks · 24/01/2012 13:04

I can't keep up- so much going on!
snoopy sorry about the chemical being confirmed :( I would personally listen to the advice and wait a month. I think NLC treat everyone individually so treatment/advice varies. Even though it seems that you are are in a similar position to Sue was last month, it doesn't necessarily mean that the advice given would be exactly the same. Doesn't really make sense to me either, but we may as well follow the advice given however frustrating it is!

Good luck kittens with the tests. LOL at the handling fee!!!

Waves at everyone else, good luck with testing/ swi/ scans/ this week. Sorry not to name check everyone but I've only got 10 mins before I have to dash out, keep scrolling back and then forgetting!!

Had my follicle scan yesterday which showed 2 cysts on my ovaries:( means I'm out for his month. Have to go back next cycle day 3-5, hopefully to find out that they have gone! Glad to have a month off the pred but, tick tock, pretty gutted to have no chance of a BFP once AGAIN!

Pebbles73 · 24/01/2012 13:38

Snoopy totally understand your frustration as currently in a similar position. Had a mc end of October which dragged on for 2mths and then got my first af last weekend. I have also been advised to wait and I know Louise is right but it is extremly frustrating when you are just desperate to get going again.

Really made me laugh Kittens about the handling fee! Grin

ChoccyPud · 24/01/2012 14:01

Talking of stuff going on... Who else is coming for lunch on Saturday?? Somewhere on Southbank near Waterloo. PM PQ if you can make it so she can book somewhere.

:)

digitalgirl · 24/01/2012 14:15

Oh cherry and snoopy how frustrating for you both Sad.

Snoopy It does seem surprising that you've been given conflicting advice to sue. I remember Louise telling me to wait two cycles after my last miscarriage (at 8 weeks). I only waited one because my cycles were so long that it was 2 months anyway before my first AF came along. Mr S didn't seem to have a problem with me just waiting one, but did say it was advisable to wait at least one, especially after having an ERPC. Could it be worth double checking with Mr S if you're ok to TTC if you only tested positive for a day and your HCG never rose above 10?

buster wow, a neo-natal nurse! Do you work in a SCBU or on a post-natal ward? Sorry it looks like you're ovulating late again. But hopefully you can keep going with the OPKS and get the timing right so you're in with a better chance this month.

kittens good luck with the foam injection. Hope you get your results straightaway.

battery I'm a lazy cow and have stopped taking supplements. Bit concerned that my VitD intake is so low what with the weather being shite and me rarely going outside for the past two months. But hopefully can replenish stocks with lots of walks in the park this spring.

Oo, suddenly got excited about having a meet up with some of the pred thread babies this summer!
