How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

Oooh yes and one more thing i forgot to mention, the nausea......gosh have i been feeling nauseous, to the point where I almost choked on it the other night!!!

Temps et al tell me something different though!! Plod on one thinks Grin

iloveberries · 03/11/2011 19:30

hey discolite welcome back! Looks like we have the same AF date. God i f*ing hope she doesn't visit us this month.

Rusulka your posts have been making me chuckle but then would anyone really want Paul McKenna to make them pregnant? eugh!!!
Like the visualisation method though!

Rusulka · 03/11/2011 19:45

berries I didn't mean he would, you know.... eurgh!
I meant in the same vein as 'I can make you thin' or whatever wank he's usually spouting.
Bleurgh, the very thought.

puzzletree · 03/11/2011 20:03

Hi there everyone. Sorry to those who are feeling a bit fed up, and good luck to everyone charting, SWI and generally waiting optimistically. I got a clearblue digital today, used it this afternoon and got 'pregnant 3 weeks+' ie 3 weeks+ since conception. Which is perfect for dates so I'm feeling more positive now that this is going ok :). Starting to feel a little bit pregnant too, have had sore boobs but now have started to bloat, aargh. If this is like previous pregnancies the nausea will kick in at week 6 so I'm going to appreciate these few days of feeling ok, then Bring it On! I want to enjoy this last pregnancy.
Think I'd better head off to find an antenatal board then. Hopefully I'll recognise some people over there, if not yet then in the upcoming weeks when you'll all be heading over fingers crossed. Thanks so much for all your support ladies, hope you all get that elusive BFP very very soon.

Bluetinkerbell · 03/11/2011 20:09

gosh! I found you all! on CD11 of hopefully a lucky cycle this time!

Congrats for all the new BFP's! :)

Ilanthe · 03/11/2011 21:01

Evening ladies and thanks to everyone who wished me good luck for today.

Well, I think I might have got a BFP this morning. A thin line definitely appeared as the wee made its way up the stick which then seemed to fade again to a vvvvv faint thick line. It was hard to tell though because it was 6am and completely dark and I was having to look at it under bloody energy saving lightbulbs.

I know I know I know I'm not meant to take any account of this but I left it on the side and got home tonight to a dark thin line and a faintish but definitely there thick line. I know it could be an evap line so I'm not getting my hopes up. Will test again tomorrow. I'm not officially late until Sunday (I can have 30 day cycles) so not despondent either yet.

Mooley - could be because your cycles are settling down and your body isn't used to ovulating that your hormonal changes are causing physical symptoms you wouldn't normally get? I have no medical knowledge so could be complete rubbish.

Rusalka - you have made me PMSL reading your acronyms. My DH found it, erm, difficult to perform EOD as well so I feel your pain.

Good luck to everyone SWIing and POASing.

iloveberries · 03/11/2011 21:21

Ilanthe - BRILLIANT news :) sorry for my comment earlier in that case! - i thought you'd been testing post AF due date but this sounds promising!!

Rusulka - i knew what you meant but it did make me chuckle a lot!!! I think it sounds like a fab idea - you could be rich!!!

Hi tinkerbell, nice to see you!!

Mooley - I know it's a 'my friend' story.... BUT my very close friend had a full on period when she was pregnant with her DS1. The rest of the pregnancy was completely normal and healthy and the baby is wonderful so it could be...

To be fair every time i get AF i think "maybe i'll be like gemma and i'll be pregnant but still get a period" but i never am!!! :(

off for some SWI - i'm actually really enjoying it this month!!

iloveberries · 03/11/2011 21:21

puzzle good luck with the rest of the pregnancy :)

louloubellamozzarella · 03/11/2011 21:49

Ahh two BFPs today - well done puzzle and ilanthe - thrilled for you - definitely some of us will be joining you on those damn antenatal boards soon!

Rusulka that vid is awesome!! Hope that's happening inside me right now - or sometime soon :)

Berries, think it's too late for this month and my CBFM... next month I'll give it a whirl though. Looks all v technical from reading the instructions!

Just checking in quickly as gotta pop off to do some work :( :( but will catch up/speculate on some SS for y'all tomorrow.

p.s. mooley / the artiste formally known as GTR I do quite like the suggestion of dingdong as it ties in nicely with 'hoo ha' Blush wrong I know!

festiemum · 03/11/2011 22:07

Ah, more BFPs - well done chaps! Right Rusulka you really are going to have to break down FDHOWTOT&M for me. I hope it's filthy!

Mooley - was going to say; my last AF (after an anovulatory cycle) was looooong, took my mooncup out a couple of times and cleaned it and put it away only to have to get it out again! Just lots of spotting at the end (soiled the lovely hotel sheets, and DH during our late honeymoon in London too!!! Blush)

Having said that though, you're definitely having pg symptoms, no doubt about it! Or, as Ilanthe says, your hormones could finally be kicking in after all the pissing about months you've had recently. Berries - glad you're enjoying the SWI - sometimes too easy to forget that it's supposed to be fun!

Loulou - hellllooooooooooo!

Had a cruddy afternoon today, lots of memories. Think it's all sinking in now. Luckily though, DH sent me to bed for a couple of hours and sorted the kids' tea out; felt much better after a nap!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 04/11/2011 06:47

Oh festie we are all here for you!! Feel free to unload at any time Thanks

loulou I am quite happy to be called mooley, ding dong or even stick with GTR if it's easier!! I'm still the same!! What's in a name anyway!? ( was going to quote some Shakespeare there but it's a bit early!!)

As for my symptoms - as much as I want to be pg I think it's highly unlikely given what's been happening with my cycles, but would welcome feeling like this if it means my body is actually starting to come round to my way of thinking!! If it is just my hormones settling down then I am on course to have a good month of SWI, recognisable temps and lots of SSing!!!

Let's get a few more BFPs and send this thread out with a bang!!!! Grin

Liliana1 · 04/11/2011 07:32

Rusulka - love the link too, visualising a lovely fertilised egg rolling gently aound.

Think I am now officially in the 2ww - do I move my stats up to the next section? We had a few swi around the right time, but maybe could have done more. Too late now though and will just have to see.

Mooley my cousin was 4 months before she realised she was pg, she had regular periods (but she was also on the pill so a bit of a shock!)

Big congrats puzzle and Ilanthe hope we'll all be joining you soon.

Hope you're ok this morning festie, glad your DH is looking after you and we're always here if you want to chat. Take care xx

Right not going to ss too much (wonder how long that will last?!)

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 04/11/2011 09:38

Right well i am royally confused about what is going on now!! Went for my routine turtle this morning, CP is medium, soft and open but my CM is watery/EW (not quite EW i don;t think because it's still tinged with brown) but it's super stretchy and slippery and plentiful, even when i wipe. I am on CD7 so surely I can't be gearing up to ov just yet!! Confused

Definitely going to be jumping DH when we get in tonight!!! Grin

louloubellamozzarella · 04/11/2011 09:39

Morning all

Ok 'GTR' I think I've settled on moowoo :) I like it anyway! Sounds cute and fluffy but still has a hint of 'hoo ha' about it.

Ohhh meant to SWI last night but we were both shattered after long days - even DP wasn't up for it which is very unlike him! I'd even pre-seeded up - what a waste! Will definitely make time for it tonight as I'm still getting EWCM so there is still hope .

If we don't manage it this month I think we might have a couple of months off - not using contraception - but not actively trying at ov times - hahaa not that we've done very well with that yet anyway! Being preggers over the whole summer isn't ideal for me so happy to pick it up again in the new year if we're not hitting the jackpot this month. However, if something did happen then of course that would be a blessing so I think the best way is just to stop putting the effort in for a couple of months, pick up my cycles with the CBFM and then if still no luck at least I will know when I am actually oving for once.

moowoo (hehe) does sound wierd but as AF is here I would say it's unlikely that you're up le duff (unfortunately - oh how I wish I'm one of those women who have periods yet are preggers and find out when they're four months, thus getting to skip the first trimester....) Anyway I digress as usual! I would say it's prob a case of your end of AF/start of new ov time hormones mixed up with your flu symptoms. Make sure you take extra good care of yourself and keep those cycles shortening!

Hi festie! Make sure you continue to take good care of yourself too. Good on DP for sending you to bed :) Hope you get a chance to enjoy the weekend.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 04/11/2011 09:59

Ooh yes, i do like moowoo!!! Sounds very good!!! Grin

I do agree with you; i would never be lucky enough to be up duffed and have a period, especially with the way my body likes to play tricks on me! Although I would love to pg I am so ecstatic that my body might finally be sorting itself out that i am not too bothered! Means I get to have lots more SWI (never a bad thing) and focus on a fresh new month - just hope this cycle is not 77 days long Shock

festiemum · 04/11/2011 12:32

Good morning all. Well my temps continue to rise, and it looks like I'm still fertile, so need to get to it later!! Quick question though. This morning two of my dcs woke me at 6am (ugh!) I usually temp about 6.30. As they had woken me, I immediately temped, but also spoke to them quietly first (I deliberately didn't move much). Would me speaking to them affect the temp I got?! I'm guessing half an hour earlier would mean a slightly lower temp, and speaking would sent it a bit higher, so all things considered, it was probably about right!!!! What do you reckon? Confused

Had to take my 2 yo back to the Dr's today - her chest is bad again. So she's back on the steriods, poor little mite! It never rains eh?!!

Ilanthe · 04/11/2011 15:21

FFS. I think I'm having (had) a chemical. BFN this morning and spotting starting up. Sharp ache in my left side just above my hip and cramping. Two paracetemol relieved it. Sad

The only reason I'm testing this early as well is because I need to know for my op on Monday. I wouldn't normally test till CD30 or 31 and I started on CD26. I wish we'd left it for this month but DH wanted to keep going and the doc said it was OK.

And my bloody hypochondriac brain is going all over the place, including to ectopic.

I have offered to drive my friends up as well tonight so I can't even get pissed.

On the up side I have just splurged over £200 in John Lewis. Most of it is for DS though.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 04/11/2011 16:10

Oh festie, you really are going though the mill a bit! Sending you lots of virtual hugs, chocolate and tea!! I dont think half an hour and speaking gently will make that much difference as long as you didn't get out of bed, drink etc etc!

Ilanthe - I am so sorry for what you are going through; i really hope it's not!! You can have some virtual hugs, chocolate and tea as well!!

Have just found out someone else in work is pg!!!!!!! Aaarrrgh!!! :(

Discolite · 04/11/2011 18:33

Ilanthe, that's sad news. I hope it becomes clearer what is actually going on soon.

Moowoo I think with a cycle as eccentric as yours you should follow all the signs your body can throw at you! I'm on CD13 now and starting to think about getting on with the EOD sex regime, the earliest I've ever ovulated was CD17 but knowing my luck I'll somehow miss the vital day! My cm was watery this morning (I never get EWCM) but sticky by the afternoon.

Hmm. It's going to be interesting to see how DP copes with lots of sex, since my last cycle he's been (tentatively) diagnosed with angina and is on about 4 new drugs, some of which have sexual issues mentioned in the side effects. He hasn't read the leaflet though, and I'm not going to tell him in case he starts getting all hypochondriacal!

Festie, I think your reasoning about your temperature is good. Temperatures don't always make much sense even when you are strict about taking them. My temp this morning was 36.24 which is almost ovulation for me but after actually checking it 30 minutes later (I turn the thermometer straight off so I don't have to turn the light off and wake up DP) I took it again and it was 35.95. That makes no sense at all! Anyway, hope the steroids work for your little one.

festiemum · 04/11/2011 20:48

Oh Ilanthe I hope you're wrong about that. Just to potentially reassure you (a bit) I had pain in my side when I had my chemical, and had thoughts of ectopics etc, but an ectopic wouldn't start hurting until the embryo became big enough to begin rupturing the tube - not for weeks. Small consolation I know. Sad

Mooley - sorry those bastards at work are thrusting their fertility in your face. Hope you have a fab weekend to make up for it!!

Disco - feel your pain. Since his heart attack/surgery, my DH has been on cocktail of drugs - all of which cause ER (or broken willy, as DH calls it!!) Hence why we now use the LBP's to SWI!! Hopefully your DP won't be affected in that way. I think you're right about temps though - bloody confusing doesn't cover it!!

TheCake · 04/11/2011 21:25

Just popped on to say I'm out this month as AF has arrived today. Not unexpected as we only dtd 3 times this cycle and DH was away when I was most fertile. We are taking a very relaxed approach at the moment as ttc was doing both our heads in (despite this was still secretly gutted when AF arrived).

Congratulations to all the BFPs and sorry to hear about the chemical Ilanthe.

Hope to see some more BFPs- will be lurking! X

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 04/11/2011 22:14

Well FWIW we dtd tonight!!! I know it's too early but used the pre-seed so hoping that some of the little fellas made it through!! os definitely open!! Night off tomorrow but going to start POAOS -CD8, might be a bit early, but with my cycles it's probably best!!

Cake -sorry the witch got you!! Have a good feeling about this month!! Not sure why!!

Right off to bed, have a hard day of checking MN every half hour revision tomorrow and housework while DH is at work!!!

Glimpers · 05/11/2011 09:03

Morning ladies.
Well, no more turtling from this callsign Grin
I have a confession to make! I stupidly POAS yesterday at 9dpo and, not surprisingly, got a BFN Sad why oh why did I do it to myself?!
DH went away yesterday for 3 weeks so got plenty to keep me busy and my mind off imagining symptoms looking after DD!
How are you all today?

oggy24 · 05/11/2011 09:34

Morning all!

MooWoo admire your determination. We are always so tired, we could never do EOD!

My CBFM has shocked me today. On CD 9 yesterday, it was a normal low reading. Today, CD10 I have a peak/ovulation reading!! WTF? Last cycle it reckoned I ov'd on CD20! No idea what's going on. I'll have a good SWI and hope for the best I guess!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 05/11/2011 10:18

Morning everyone!!

Part one of my weekend complete - house has been blitzed!!! Part 2a currently under way (check MN!) along with Part 2b which is revising :(

Have not been for a turtle yet; wondering how long to leave it after SWI last night, do not want left overs being confused for the good stuff iykwim!!!

oggy wow that is early; having said that i had a smallish amount of watery type CM yesterday temps dropped today so not sure whether to engage DH into some action again tonight, just in case, despite the fact that i had no smiley face on the CB digi (not entirely sure I trust them though because i have to pee on them first thing otherwise there is no point as i can't hold my pee for 4 hours during the day!).

Glimpers yes 9dpo is quite early for a BFP, but not unheard of!! Likely though that you will not have implanted yet! Poss today so maybe test again in a couple of days!?! Grin

How is everyone else getting on?
