How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

hello all, having a great weekend here :) Enjoying all the SWI this month!

Well this morning my CBFM gave me the 'peak sign' so the next couple of days will be busy and fun Wink and after that i'll probably be shattered and ready to put my feet up for the next few days.

mooleywooley - I had a few CB ov tests left over from when i used them (with no success) and as i got the peak on the CBFM this morning i decided to use one of them too this morning (might as well stick as many sticks in the pee pot as i can!) and lo and behold i got the smiley face..... I didn't think it would be possible to get a smiley first thing as everyone says you need to use ov tests in the afternoon but apparently you can.... anyway i know everyone is differerent but just thought i would let you know.

Now my 'worry' is getting DH to, erm, perform for the next 2 nights..... we SWI'd last night too so 3 nights on the trot is quite a lot for him.... Guess i better pull out the sexy underwear!!

I know it's nothing like a BFP but it's bloody nice to get the result on some type of stick that you're after!!!

Good luck everyone else xxx

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 06/11/2011 08:40

Oooh berries!! Great news!! Happy SWI'ing Grin

Forgot to POAOS stick this morning, might give it w go now you have said that!!! Haven't got many of the little buggers left? Plus a giant spider has taken up residence in the room where I keep them and I'm very scared of spiders!!!

DH had just vacated the bathroom so I'm off to POAOS :)

Glimpers · 06/11/2011 09:49

Morning *waves
Oooh mooleywooley you are such a bad influence Grin I was going to resign myself to just waiting for AF on Wednesday and then you go and mention POAS again and now the thought is nagging at me!!! Ooh you naughty lady!!!
How did your POAOS go? Tell incy wincy to do one, if that fails, find the heaviest shoe you've got and give him a headache!! Grin
Just 'FaceTime'd DH so am happy now. V jealous though as it is currently 32 degrees with him and I'm sat inside with the heating on?!
x

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 06/11/2011 10:12

Oooh sorry glimpers i would wait it out if you can!!! POAOS was not good - no smiley face, no sign of fertile CM, but CP has moved higher and is opening so I am opening that my body has finally sorted itself out and I will ov as normal once mere :)

Oooh i am too very jealous of the heat your DH is basking in!!! Although i do love a good winter Grin

Have a splitting headache this morning and sadly not the influence of any alcohol sigh

I know its not suggested to SWI everyday but think both me and the DH are going a bit batty TTC. Maybe all these bumps and bruises will be worth it in two weeks :)

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 06/11/2011 11:34

egg DH and I try to aim for EOD, mainly because my cycles are so ridiculously long and also for the reason you have mentioned, ED would really take its toll; besides, it allows his supplies to rejuvenate and ensure that the best swimmers are on course for the egg!!

Your name makes me really want a dippy egg and soldiers :) sadly do not have any eggs or bread in the house at the moment!!!

festiemum · 06/11/2011 12:30

Welcome egg - much respect for managing every day SWI!!

My temp has shot up today, but I got pissed last night, so it could be a false reading. I'm hoping it's a good sign for ov this month, after last month's egg fail. Just hoping this month's egg isn't pickled after last night Blush

A BFP would feel very apt after this month, so I'm keeping my FX. Got a busy time over the next week or so with funeral arrangements etc, so hoping I won't have time to SS!!

Hope everyone's having a good weekend.

Ilanthe · 06/11/2011 14:43

Hello everyone and welcome egg.

Thanks for your kind words everyone and particularly festie for putting my mind at rest re: ectopics. I'm sorry to hear your story.

Well, I have no idea what's happening. On Friday afternoon I had quite a big bleed - bright red blood along with sharp pain in side and some cramping. Since Saturday morning the blood has gone brown with bits in (kind of like OJ with bits consistency) and there's not a lot. The odd twinge here and there. I haven't retested.

I suspect Friday was when it went wrong and I'm just waiting now for my hormones to get back to a level where AF will turn up. I'll get tested tomorrow at the hospital anyway. Festie - did AF take a couple of days to get going when you had your chemical?

I thought Friday was AF here in all her glory so I also managed to sideswerve the driving on Friday night and got, well, shitfaced. I also smoked most of a pack of fags. So I'm now worrying on all accounts!

eggandtoastedsoldiers · 06/11/2011 15:04

Thanks moo and fest. We have been trying EOD in the past but figured may ED while in the fertile window (according to period tracker app) and then switch to EOD when we can't manage it anymore. Little silly we have come this far but being naive thinking it would only take a cycle or two to get a BFP, boy was I wrong. Wish everyone the best of luck!

P.S I love egg and soldiers, could eat it every morning :)

Discolite · 06/11/2011 15:09

Hello Egg.

Well, I'm on CD15 on this grey Sunday. No sign of a temperature rise and as for the cm it is like the British weather, all types in one day which is very confusing. One thing that did make me laugh today was my DP, on learning that I had bought a boiler suit, thought that it was for 'role-playing purposes'. Ahem. No, you dozy effort, it is for gardening! Can anyone make a boiler suit sexy?!

Ilanthe I really wouldn't worry about one night (or even a couple of nights) of being naughty re: fabs and booze. If you are pregnant, that level of exposure won't do any harm, and if you aren't pregnant then I bet it helped your stress levels considerably. Hope your hospital appointment (was it for an ectropion? If so I have had my cervix frozen for exactly that reason and although it was uncomfortable, I was able to manage a four hour car drive straight afterwards so it wasn't too bad).

Festie so far it seems like DP won't need the little blue pills, not after an unexpected night of passion on friday night (he likes to do it the morning usually). But it is worrying all the same, it may take a while for the drugs to build up, who knows? Waiting on the angiogram at the end of the month to tell us more.

Berries glad to hear about the positive results on your monitor! Fingers crossed the SWI is fun and more importantly WORKS!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 06/11/2011 16:03

Oh Ilanthe, sorry to hear you are going through a rough time of it at the moment!! But I agree with Discolite - the booze and fags will not have done any harm whatsoever!!

egg i too thought it would be super easy to get pg, on my 6th cycle and really did believe it would have happened by now, but I am wiser since our first cycle and much more understanding and realistic that these things can just take there sweet ass time!!!

Disco i love the fact that your DP thought there as going to be a bit of role-play going on......i think you should give it a go! I am sure you can make it sexy Grin I am with you on the CM as well, some days I get watery, sticky and creamy in a small space of time; maddening!!!

oggy24 · 06/11/2011 17:14

Welcome egg :)

Ilanthe It all sounds so horrible for you :( I hate not knowing where I stand - especially when when it is my own body confusing me! I hope it all ends up being okay.

I had my first sighting of EWCM today! I've not been charting it at all. Though on wiping I noticed it so had a rummage. It really is how they say! It also ties in perfectly with my CBFM peak reading. Gave SWI a go last night though was just a bit tipsy and it all was very clumsy Blush. TTC seems to have taken a lot of my confidence away in that department!

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend. Back to work tomorrow :(

iloveberries · 06/11/2011 17:30

Ianthe Sorry to hear about it all... BUT I LOVE that your typo made fags 'fabs'. I gave up when i found out i was pg with DS and GOD i miss it!!!! Ironically the most i have missed smoking is over the past few months when TTC..... Don't worry you won't have caused anything negative.

disco fairplay for you and your role plays :)

Glimpers · 06/11/2011 18:49

Am now imagining disco in some '80's stylee continental type adult film in her boiler suit saying she has 'come to clean the pool' Grin
Hey, if it gives you a BFP I'm up for anything!!

Discolite · 06/11/2011 19:08

Role playing with a boiler suit would be totally impossible! Well, I will put on my boiler suit when it arrives and if it makes DP desire me like mad I think I may have to leave him...I can't let sex get in the way of the gardening, can I?!

Egg and Mooley, I thought I would be pregnant after two cycles, no problem! Now on cycle 5 (although I discount cycle 1 for statistical purposes as we didn't SWI anywhere near ovulation) and I think I am a bit calmer and more resigned about getting pregnant. The first two cycles I cried my eyes out when AF showed up and now I am a lot more phlegmatic. If nothing else, it gives me more time to to save and ease the financial pain of maternity leave. Still bloody hope I get pregnant soon though!

Ilanthe · 06/11/2011 19:28

Oh, ladies, thanks so much. Your support is helping loads.

Anyway, I tested again just to put my mind at rest re: Friday night more than anything and BFN. Still only spotting, with twinges in my left side but I suspect the procedure tomorrow will bring AF on properly. I'm relieved actually, as it means they can get on with it tomorrow, I can have any treatment and go back to TTC (hopefully!) in the new year knowing what's what. I'm a bit anxious they're going to find something serious (am having hysteroscopy and biopsy as well as cervical cautery) but realistically know that's unlikely.

ilove - can't take the credit for 'fabs' as it was Discolite Grin. They were fab fags though. I rarely smoke now - only on big boozy nights out which are thin on the ground post DS and it was a real treat.

disco - PMSL at the roleplaying boiler suit. They're not easy to slip out of, are they? Wink

Glimpers · 06/11/2011 19:47

Ilanthe you will be in my thoughts tomorrow, hope it goes well for you.
Am thinking maybe you've got a confession though after your 'insider' comment on the difficulty of getting out of a boiler suit Wink
'Fessing up myself here and just off outside for a 'fab fag' after DD is snoring soundly upstairs Blush
x

eggandtoastedsoldiers · 06/11/2011 22:08

Ilanthe hope everything goes smoothly.

disco I have definately had my fair share of tears. I am glad that for the last six cycles I have tracked it with my period tracker app. Bit weird but have noticed months where we might of not started early enough, some trail off and sometimes I had crazy cycles. I just wish I didn't work myself up and even set myself up for disappointment.. I mean you can romp around like spring time bunnies but sometimes your body skips a month (ov).

festiemum · 07/11/2011 07:30

Best of luck for today Ilanthe - hope you're feeling OK, know how a chemical can lower the spirits. xx Not sure about the short bleed thing. Know after my chemical it wasn't half as heavy as I expected it to be, but then the next month it was eye-poppingly heavy, and I really hadn't expected that! Having read around the subject, it seems that really anything goes after any miscarriage, regardless of how early it is; everyone's body is different. I still haven't had a normal cycle since mine in August, but my friend conceived the very next cycle after her miscarriage!

Disco - I think you're going to have to- ahem - customise your boiler suit with a carefully placed slit/flap, if that's going to work! :o

So, my temp went down a whole degree this morning! WTF?!!!!! All other signs point to me ov-ing yesterday or the day before, and yesterday's high temp was obviously a bit anomolous after the booze, but a whole degree?! Really?! Honestly if I don't ov again this month, I'm going to have the mother of all tantrums!! Angry

Have a good day everyone! :)

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 07/11/2011 07:43

Good luck today Ilanthe hope it all goes well for you Thanks

festie - I have had that happen and although a whole degree seems quite alarming, if you disregard the high temp that was alcohol induced then it could be that you are gearing up to ov today. What were you temps prior to the alcohol? :)

festiemum · 07/11/2011 07:47

Um, going upwards really. It's been a weird one this month, a steep decline from quite a high beginning temp, followed by a incline. Then my high alcohol reading, followed by today's massive dip! God knows! Here's my chart

Hmmmm...... Confused

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 07/11/2011 07:58

Hmmmm indeed Confused it looks as though you ov'd on CD14 but then todays drop contradicts that, if you take the really high temp out of the equation I would say that today is ov day, depending on what your temps do over the next couple of days. If you had ov'd on CD14 then FF would have entered the crosshairs but your temps pre-ov are really high so your temps post ov are going to have to be much higher. Today's drop does seem good though; fx'd for a huge rise tomorrow!!!

I know what you mean about wanting to have a tantrum!!! My epic cycle last month indicated i did not ov but AF tells a different story as it was much heavier than August's attempt (when i think i did have an anovultory cycle). It didn't help that i left my thermometor at my parents house though, and whilst waiting for my new one to arrive, I ov'd but didn't chart. Was so fed up with the length of my cycle that i had no motivation for SWI!!! So I know exactly how you feel!! Can you get some action in tonight?

eggandtoastedsoldiers · 07/11/2011 07:58

fest how long have you been charting? I have some ov sticks but sort of went off using them. I also debated the clearblue ov kit but not sure I want to shell out the money
