How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

Glad to see that you are feeling better today puzzle and the the spotting has ceased!!! Maybe it was just a bit of breakthrough bleeding Grin

I know you are right, i think what is annoying me most at the moment is these incredible long cycles, by the time my body does decide to ov i am completely SWI'd out (i don't have the highest libido at the best of times) - thank god for pre-seed though, without that i would be completely un up-diffed!!!

BustAMove · 01/11/2011 12:22

glad to hear from you this morn puzzle and that things going ok. Thanks for moving me GTR.

GTR2882 · 01/11/2011 12:26

No worries busta 27th Nov seems so far away, but it will be here before we know it!! Can't believe I have believe i have been TTC for nearly 6 months now!!! WHERE IS MY BEAN???? Angry

Ahhhhh, that feels better Grin

louloubellamozzarella · 01/11/2011 12:27

Hi guys!! Found you Grin

I've been away for a long weekend and am now back to reality with a crash :(

Feel VERY out of the loop - have there been some BFPs?!? GTR you AF arrived finally yes??

My CBFM still hasn't arrived - I think it's waiting for me at the post office so that will probably be used next cycle now. No EWCM for me so think ov might be coming around now/next few days - time to start SWI again - where will I get the energy?! Wine

GTR2882 · 01/11/2011 12:44

Loulou so pleased to have you back on board!! Thought you had gone AWOL!!!! Grin Yes finally had the witch, she's just on her way out now, so time to get down to some serious SWI Wink

Hope you had a nice break, despite the crash back into reality!!!

Sorry that your are still waiting for your CBFM - hopefully you won't be needing it next cycle, iykwim Wink

Yeah, lots of good news and congratulations - it was about time!!! Hopefully there will be some more by the end of this cycle too :)

BoogiesBunny · 01/11/2011 14:29

Hi all - a brand new thread and a brand new attitude by the sounds of it! Lots of BFPs at long last and lots of SWI! It is so great to read how you are all doing - congrats to the BFPs and get busy to the SWIers!

I am on CD32 - AF was due today at the latest but there is absolutely no sign (not even a feeling of impending AF). I took 3 (read 3!!!) cheapie tests this morning and then were all BFN. So my hope for this month is sadly fading. I have to admit to being really upset when I got the BFNs. Now I am more impatient for AF to arrive, if she's going to, so I can get on with SWI.

I also realise that I am only really 1 day late which is nothing - it just feel MUCH later when you've been waiting to test for weeks.

Liliana1 · 01/11/2011 18:10

6 months? - try 19!! can't believe it has been that long and no sign (apart from a chem) :(

Seriously though, I know it can really get you down however long you've been trying. It doesn't help but the 'average' (whatever that is) person takes between 6 months and a year to get pg so it must be our turn soon.

I've waited in line patiently, soon I might start pushing towards the front shouting 'it's my turn'!!

Off to do a bit more swi tonight, thanks for the info on ov, I did temp chart for quite a while so do have a pretty good idea when I usually ov but agreed with DH that I wouldn't for a while as it made me very somewhat neurotic.

Glad things you're ok puzzle and don't give up because of money GTR, you'll never be ready financially, you will manage. If you want to stop all the charting etc it did help me relax (but obviously not get me pg!) and lots of people do find that that is when it happens. BUT, keep a foot on the plane, we'll miss you if you go.

Glimpers · 01/11/2011 19:46

Hey ladies, mind if I join you please?
Currently 6dpo and in a nail biting 2ww?! Am driving myself loopy-lala symptom spotting and have resorted (TMI alert!!) to checking my CP?!
Having a turtle earlier, my cervix seems to have disappeared?! Now either it has decided on taking a Winter Sun break and buffered off somewhere (cheeky sod!) or something is going on! Plus (defo TMI!) had loads of EWCM too?!
Can anyone help me out as to whether I should be getting my hopes up for a BFP or am I out and waiting this month?
GTR - FWIW don't give up trying, things always have a way of working out, and you may end up stressing yourself out more having to put TTC on hold, when it's the one thing you really want. JMO of course.

Glimpers · 01/11/2011 19:47

Turtle?!? Should have read furtle!! Damn you predictive text!!

puzzletree · 01/11/2011 19:55

not surprised your cervix disappeared if you were sticking a turtle up there!

Glimpers · 01/11/2011 20:09

LMAO puzzle Grin

louloubellamozzarella · 01/11/2011 20:41

Hehe I think 'having a turtle' should be a new TTC term :) - kinda cockney rhyming slang styleee

GTR I'm relieved that AF arrived for you, so you must've been delighted!!

I had a lovely break thanks - weekend in Marrakech - fantastic city and lovely hot weather :) - however, I've returned to manic work today so just trying to a) stay awake and b) keep my head above water.

Onwards and upwards to SWI-ville though this month. I've got to plough through some coursework then off to bed for some of my own - feels like ages since I've been in on this SWI fun. Got some EWCM after a quick turtle this afternoon so I think it's prime time for me at the mo.

liliana it's high time karma found you and got you a BFP by the sounds of things. Sending positive vibes your way.

Right, off to work so I can have time to hang around here tomorrow :)

GTR2882 · 01/11/2011 20:44

Evening ladies!! Oh liliana you are so deserving of a bean!!! Really hope this is your month!! Puts my 6 to shame, although it did take 11 months for my period to return after the pill which made things a tad tricky as I was not ov'ing and even now I only ov when my body decides it is up for it! Not ov'ing every month makes my chances of conceiving really hard!!!

Grin at glimpers and puzzle

glimpers not sure your CP is very accurate at determining pg as it can rise at different times for every woman! I have heard a lot of women with EWCM who have been pg though so might be a sign especially if it's unusual!

Glimpers · 01/11/2011 21:07

loulou I think you might be on to something there!
DH might think I've been at the Christmas sherry though if I ask if he fancies a turtle?!
Thanks GTR best I just wait it out then and see if AF arrives next Thursday, ho hum?!
Maybe my cervix didn't get the hump with me and the turtle after all Grin

Ilanthe · 01/11/2011 21:39

Evening all. Welcome glimpers.

Well I really have been symptom spotting today.

Boobs still really sore.
Hungry.
Feeling a bit sick and light headed.
Tired.
Stupidly over emotional.

My period isn't officially late yet, although it started this day last cycle and no sign. My cycles do vary between 25 and 30 days though and I'm only on CD26. But, for the first time since my periods returned following DS I have had no spotting at all at this point in the cycle.

Testing in the morning.

Glimpers · 01/11/2011 21:45

Ooh good luck Ilanthe let us know how you get in, fx for you!

Liliana1 · 01/11/2011 22:22

ohh sounds promising Ilanthe, let us know how it goes.

Grin at having a turtle!

Mama5isalive · 02/11/2011 01:23

I'm here also big congrats to need!!!!!
Still no Internet, so just pressing my light above myhead so u know I'm here still waiting for Internet!!!!!!
Sad day for me, mums bday!!!!!!!

iloveberries · 02/11/2011 08:37

GTR - i think puzzle's advice is really good. If TRYING is getting you stressed then why not stop focusing on it for a while and just carry on having sex and see what happens.

Liliana your post about committing a mumsnet faux pas really made me laugh - i wondered where everyone had gone too when the thread ended!!

Rusulka my DH feels under pressure to perform too so we've agreed to not talk about the trying bit too much, i can understand though as basically they have to do their, ahem, bit or it won't happen!

I am also on a downer about the whole thing. I have 4 close mum friends and they are all pregnant with number 2 and fell very easily. Of course i am happy for them but as others have said i would be in their boat if i'd have held on to my summer pregnancy.... anyway, no point in "what ifs?"

puzzle i so think you are right about relaxing with it. When we conceived DS we had just started trying and weren't REALLY trying, just having unprotected. When i conceived in summer i had just come off the pill too. and since then, nothing :( I know we have to expect to wait a year but it is so frustrating isn't it.

I just feel so sad today. wish i could get out of it. On CD 12 today so am on a similar cycle to you busta and mama i think?

festie - are you still around my love?
loulou - haven't seen you for a while either!!

Sending big hugs to you all xxx

Rusulka · 02/11/2011 08:42

Thanks for Mama. Hope you get through the day ok.

Speaking of turtling, I once tried to get DH to find it, so he knew what he was aiming for. The look on his face! He so obviously didn't enjoy being up there with a different part of his anatomy, lol. Think he might have been a bit revolted. Hasn't stopped the trouser snake though...

Absolutely no point SWI-ing at this point in the month, but trying to get into a pattern with DH of EOD, so it becomes routine by the time it's needed. It's like training a pet! Don't tell him I said that.

festiemum · 02/11/2011 09:36

Hello Chaps,

Just found you again, and been awol with life stuff. Money stuff (DH is self employed so his heart attack hit us hard financially), teeth stuff (need lots of teeth out and a partial denture and been feeling vain about it). So though I've kept on temping (to see if I actually ov-ed this month as much as anything else) the SWI hasn't been plentiful tbh.

Then yesterday, my Dad died. It was sudden, unexpected, although he was 75 and not in the best health, but that kind of thing obviously throws worries about teeth and money into perspective. Whether I'll keep TTC in the midst of this, I don't know, but maybe a relax and no contraception will do the trick anyway.

Hope you are all well. So glad to hear about the lovely BFPs. xxxxxxx

BustAMove · 02/11/2011 09:40

hi ilove, think I'm 5 days behind you. Just coming out of AF now. Will start SWI next week I think. Welcome glimpers. And hope you get you BFP Ilanthe.

festie, just seen your post above. So sorry to hear about your dad.

Glimpers · 02/11/2011 09:41

Oh festie Sad so sorry to hear about your dad Sad I lost mine 18 months ago and it still hurts. Thinking of you.

Glimpers · 02/11/2011 09:42
