How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!!

Feeling most festive. Just spent all afternoon and evening at FiL's with DH, SiL & fiance. Dinner, presents, board games. Wonderful.

We weren't originally planning on saying anything until first scan was safely over, but we couldn't keep the news to ourselves and told my parents and sister on the phone this morning- it's my dad's birthday too, so I couldn't not share the news- and we told DH's family in the form of a poem based on the night before Christmas in which DH told the story of how he found out. Everyone squeezed me rotten and I had to lecture them about my sore boobs!

And then everyone spent all day accusing me of being 'too tired' and fussed. I'm going to hate this. But I'm ever so grateful, and will be wishing hard and waving my own squidgy wand for all you lovely ladies.

May all you PG wishes come true, whether before the year's end or swiftly once we're into the next one!

I hope everyone's Christms has been great and stress free, we have had a nice relaxing boxing day and are actually looking forward to lazing around this evening after a busy few days.

Cant resist a quick obsession with TTC though! So last cycle, CBFM reckoned I ov'd day 16/17, AF then arrived day 26, so this cycle CBFM thinks Ov occurred day 18/19, should I assume AF is imminent around day 28? In which case I am firmly in the 2ww (or ten day wait which is probably not very hopeful!) CD28 will fall on New Years Eve and would only be 10dpo.

Interesting.....

Maisie I think you are right, if you had a ten day luteal phase last cycle it should be the same this cycle. If you are anything like me though it may not be exactly due then - my LP can range from 10 to 13 days.

I'm 10 dpo and on my third day of spotting, the first two days were v.light but there seems to be a bit more this morning. Just as I was starting to think 'Could this be it?!' Coupled with the hurtiest boobs in Christendom, too much time to obsess and the fact that the exciting bits of Christmas are over (boooooo) I'm not feeling great. Even the thought I will probably be able to drink guilt-free for New Year isn't cheering me up at the moment!

Well, I managed not to test on Christmas day, disco!

Tested yesterday, frer with fmu, still BFN. Af now 2 days late. Ff had me ov-ing very early, so starting to think my crosshairs are misplaced and maybe I ov-ed quite a bit later. Here's my Chart - I think it looks like I could have oved cd17...

That would mean we totally mistimed SWI! Stopped cd12! So lesson learnt. Next month it's EOD from end of af to cd 20 at least, whatever ff says!

Am thinking of starting temping again this month as would especially love to get a BFP now due to mat leave Might need some help interpreting as been so long so better work out how to post links!

Festie I'd think that you ovulated on CD 10 or 11 even without the crosshairs. I know why you think you may have ovulated later because of what looks like a second thermal shift but...your CM definitely points to ovulating on CD11. I also had a quick look at your other charts and this latest one definitely looks the most normal - so even if this cycle doesn't end in a BFP I think there are definitely good things happening with your cycle!

Count poor you, you definitely have a right to feel low. Significant dates are always hard. Make sure you do something nice for yourself, you deserve it.

I endured hell on the M25 today, god I hate that motorway! Not much more spotting today, only with the first wipe today (sorry for TMI) so stupidly I still have hope. If I could just conquer hope I think I'd be a happier person!

Maisie, yes I think luteal phase generally stays the same month to month, mine certainly does, almost to the minute! Fingers crossed you have an exciting start to the new year!

Disco sorry to hear you are feeling down, don't give up though, it could still be your month, and if not there is always next month!

Festie not sure what is going on there, it certainly looks like you ov'd when FF says, but I can see why you think it might have been CD17, almost looks like it happened twice, not sure if that's even possible though.

I've had a lovely Christmas, although felt a bit sad about not being pregnant in the background as well. I think this time of year makes it too easy to dwell on things. Had the last of the turkey in a stew tonight, so I guess that's it officially over now! Back to work tomorrow,

Af came today for me, which suggests that I did ov a bit later - if I put ff on the research setting it puts ov at cd15 which would give me a 12 day lp and that's normal for me. So me and dh def need to SWI EOD all month next month. Doesn't explain the retching, cramps, headaches etc though. I guess I'm susceptible to finding symptoms that arent there. Or we're fertilising eggs that don't stick? Who knows!

Anyway, my mind's on other things. Rushing the littlest to the docs this morning. Been up the last two nights with her and her chest. Sounds terrible this morning.

Well I had a lovely Christmas with the family, really relaxing! Haven't really been thinking of TTC!! But now I'm confused, woke up normal this morning and temped, was quite a bit higher but prob due to some beverages enjoyed last night (temp previous day was higher still, but took it 3 hours later than normal! Did not temp over Xmas & Boxing Day!)

Well I'm not sure what to think really, yesterday early evening I felt a bit queasy but it passed quick enough, this morning was a bit dizzy but again not really unusual, anyway I thought, what the hell, I'll pee in a pot and see what happens, knowing full well, as I clearly dont ov, that it would be BFN!! Well I'm a bit bamboozled as the stick I'm currently looking at has the faintest of faintest of faint lines that came up immediately! I am thinking dodgy strip, it was with SMU as I had already been to the loo!! I can't tell DH as we have been here so many times before and it's turned out to be a dodgy test or my eyes or it came up after the time limit! I don't know what to do and you're the only people i can speak to!

I'd post a pic but it won't show as it is really faint!! AAAARGH!!!

Kitchen it's the first christmas that I felt like I was really missing out not having children, guess I expected to have a DC by now and that prob didn't help. The holidays do make you think about things that you usually are to busy for! Glad you had a lovely christmas.

disco you do still have hope but know that sometimes it is easier not to as you don't build yourself up. If you find out a way to stop hoping let me know

Charting is not going well - I think by dates I'm ov'ing somewhere around the 1st to 4th Jan, problem being we are away thur, fri and sun so not going to be able to temp at a regular time and don't think the few temps I will get will be enough.(also I didn't manage this am or yesterday as not feeling great and oversleeping!)

Bugger, maybe will use opk's as well and just have lots of SWI - if me and DH can stop arguing long enough!!!!! (before I'm told to leave him we are just arguing about bloody stupid things after a long and stressful year for both of us)

Rusulka's plan to stop ttc and just have fun definately seems to be the way to go (did you actually manage to do this?) Would like to say I'll do the same but don't honestly think I can.

Wow Moo sorry x post but how exciting!!! Have you got another test you can do to rule out it being a dodgy one? Of not GET TO THE SHOP!!!!

Oh and just to add, SWI timing was poor what with the run up to Xmas and that, so it really would be a miracle!!

Lil temping can be tricky but I temp regardless of when I awake and if the temps don't seem to look right I just discard those ones on the days that I forgot iykwim!?!

Lil I have loads of the ICs but as its really faint I'm thinking just to hold out til tomorrow and do one with lovely concentrated FMU!! I don't even know what possessed me to pee on it! Not even sure when AF is due thanks to PCOS!!!

Well might give it a go and see what happens.

Yes indeed, SWI all the way, no stopping even if ff says the egg's gone. My temping was all over the place due to school hols etc, so not sure if it was at all accurate really.

Dd on more steroids for her chest but have an appointment in a couple of weeks to see the asthma nurse so we can get her on a preventer inhaler which should prevent these incidents before they start. Could do with some sleep though. Past two nights have been gruelling!

Hey lil - I think it must really hard for people ttc#1 at this time of year, as kitchen says too. I think everyone needs to think of this as not only a fresh new cycle, but a lovely shiny fresh new year too, with lots of opportunity to SWI!

Lil and Kitchen thanks for being encouraging, I agree this time of year can be hard (I personally loathe the lack of daylight) but agree with the shiny new year/new cycle thing.

Still spotting a bit so I'd be pretty darn surprised if I was pregnant, as so far nothing out of the ordinary has manifested itself! I expect AF tomorrow or the next day, will test on Friday if she hasn't shown before then. Hope levels fluctuating wildly...

Well did another test after having a coffee and still think there was a line but it was even fainter than the first one so still inconclusive!

But have found myself in the pub drinking a beer.....oops! Am at the ILs so would be rude not too!!

Will test on the morrow with FMU but still feeling a bit guilty about the boozing but can't put my life on hold on a chance that it's not a faulty test(s)

Hello! Not sure if any of you will remember me - I posted a few times right back at the start of the flight. But I dipped out when I got my first BFN because I was disappointed, and have been trying not to get too obsessed. Anyway, I've still lurked and followed your stories.

I got my BFP today! So I thought I'd nip on and wish you all lots of luck (especially mooley if you test tomorrow).

To be honest ladies, just had another look at my sticks from this morning and I can barely see the lines so really think I have lost the plot this time!! Not holding out much hope for tomorrows test but will see how I get on and let you know!! Really desperate for this to be it but just not that optimistic!!
