How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

YAY! Huge Congratulations Glimpers so glad we finally got a BFP!!!!!!!!

Still no AF but IL are here so not able to test till Monday. (Still believe AF will be here before too long though.)

festie are you sure my Dh and your's aren't the same?! He says the same about always sleeping and feeling pregnant

notinmy I'm sure you'll be fine, I drank my own body weight in baileys last night as was so sure I would have AF this am and now feeling rather guilty just in case.

lou hate when cycles are all over the place, getting pg is hard enough without any more complications. Hope it sorts itself out soon.

I'm now slightly hungover and relieved to be out of school so Christmas can now start proper

Rusulka thanks for that, you made me laugh, I will stay away from the turps I promise. I think I remember that pripsen from when I was a kid, I can't remember if that was actually what it was called but I remember being made to drink some awful tasting stuff that made me gag. I think it was meant to be strawberry flavoured or similar but it was truly vile!! Thankfully now it is just a little pill that tastes of orange!

Have not managed to finish the jigsaw yet, almost there though - is a lovely country christmas scene, with ice skaters, mince pie sellers, snowmen, santa in the sky and snow, snow, snow!!!! Wow, 3000 pieces, I would love to have a crack at one of those, but I only have the means for 1000 at the moment, really need to get one of those boards that you can roll up!!!

Well...........some possible exciting news, after disregarding my high temp following my dip yesterday, it rose again today and after a quick turtle this morning my CP is high, soft and definitely definitely closed!!! Think i might have finally ov'd (although not getting too excited, have been here many a time before!) Sadly though, if I have, then i don't hold out much hope as we only managed to DTD on Tuesday, and if I ov'd yesterday then that's a whole 3 days before - my left side, where I think my ovary is located, was very sore all last night, a kind of short, sharp pinching sensation!! Not sure if this means anything at all though, might just be my cruel, cruel mind playing tricks with me......we shall see!!!

If I have been successful in ov'ing though, my AF due date would be 31st December, might be a nice New Year surprise!!!

Rusulka I will definitely try not to drink any turps!!!

I'm four days away from my AF. between that and all the cleaning for the holidays, family coming over its funny that my AF will be adding cramps to the stress of it all. :) a bfp would be a much better present.

Ah thanks everyone!! Was at a family Xmas do all afternoon and have a had a few beverages, hoping though that the fact it was mainly wine and that I have eaten shed loads that my temp is not affected too much tomorrow morning!!

glimpers do the CBDs count from pretend conception? What I mean is do they do a bit of guess work? I would not worry about the actual date they give!! You know that you dtd with DH and that's all that matters!! Wait until you have a scan and then worry

There is no question that it is DH's despite him saying it's the 'lodgers' (that I got to stay apparently whilst he was away with work ) the only worry is if it's more than 1 as twins run in my family
Getting really excited about Christmas now and can't wait for this time next week

Oh glimpers do not fret, I think twins would be lovely (DH's cousins twins are 1 now and gorgeous!!) try and relax (easier said than done, I know!!!) over the Xmas festive period and focus on stating happy and healthy!!! Well I was a very good girl last night and only had 2 drinks, so my little blastocyst (if it exists ) is safe!

I took my temperature really late this morning so obviously it's shot up. How do people feel about temperature adjusters? More accurate to use one to adjust it, or just leave the anomalous temperature there?

Well I had a lovely day at our family Xmas do; tried to keep drinking to a minimum, but these things never go as planned, although did only have a couple of glasses and a few more when I got home

Temped slightly later than planned this morning, temp is still on the rise (really really hope that it's not down to the alcohol.........again). My boobs are starting to feel tender as well, and I am sure that I am getting some light, but definitely noticeable, cramping in the abdominal region. Don't want to get too excited as temp could drop tomorrow and I am back to square one!! Have not been for a turtle yet, will do so after I have had my coffee

I temped 21/2 hours later than usual and my temp was 98.20f. The adjuster puts it as 97.7f which looks like a cute little implantation dip!

Although I was good with the alcohol, I did eat pâté, blue cheese and seafood! Oh well. I do hope I'm not setting myself up for disappointment, but I've got a feeling I am. Still, should be able to test on thurs/fri, though I should wait til sun but I know I won't

IL have finally left after spending all weekend moaning how cold our house is. Pretty annoyed as Dh went to loads of effort putting an electric blanket in their bed, chopping logs for a fire and putting upstairs and downstairs heating on (we never have it upstairs and only rarely downstairs as it costs so much) They even went and bought a fan heater and insisted on keeping it on all night (god knows what it's done to the electric bill) AIBU? Maybe, just a bit pissed off that all the effort DH went to wasn't appreciated and it really was not that cold

Glimpers I always wanted a twin when I was little but not sure I would as a parent! OTOH I'm sure you would cope with no probs and love them to bits if you did have them. You'll have to let us know when you have your scans.

Um, I'm not sure exactly when af is due as my cycles have been so fucked up lately. But as it's getting back to normal, I'm guessing I'm back to a 12 day LP, so an approximate af date of 24th!

I would be SO happy if you got a clear ovulatory chart moo - I know the last few months it's felt so hopeless with no clear ov, so I've had a small flavour of how that feels. Frustrating is an understatement! xx

I've decided to lay off the MNing for the next couple of weeks. I'll definitely check in and probably won't be able to resist posting but I'm feeling a bit stressed out that nothing's happened for us yet - even though I rationally know it's only been a couple of months that my cycles have been back to anywhere near normal after I stopped the pill. Anyway, I think it'll do me good to step back for a couple of weeks to forget about TTC over xmas and give myself a proper holiday from it all.

Still looking forward to seeing more BFPs soon though :)
