How gutted to log on and find that someone had beaten me to the 1000 post and I couldn't update on the old thread.

Particularly as I got my BFP last night!!! I'd had two BFNs last week and was expecting AF to arrive while on holiday but it never came... Got more and more convinced that I was pg (feeling a bit sick too) as the weekend went on and literally tested within 10 mins of arriving home. Poor DH was still unloading the car as I greeted him at the door with my pink line!

Very excited although a bit apprehensive too. Really want to tell everyone but obviously don't want to this early so am REALLY pleased I have all you lovely ladies on MN to share with.

I was too excited to do more than skim the last few pages on the last thread but did see there had been several other BFPs so congratulations to all those too!

Oh festie sorry to hear that! It's not over just yet though!! Not out if the hag whore makes an appearance not before then!! You're only 10DPO hormones might not be detected until 12 or 13!! Please don't give up hope just yet!!

Festie you do realise that the minute you say bugger it, it will happen right? FX everything works out, leave it in the lap of the gods and see what happens.

Also, my charts always bloody look like that, so forgive me for not weeing with excitement, lol.
Kitchen I'm not going to test unless I'm late. I've already wasted several perfectly good (and relatively expensive) 'proper' tests since my ICs were inconclusive over cycles past.

On the plus side, removing my bra before bed tonight I noticed how sore my boobs were (before they hit the floor ) I have long, oval-ish lumps in my udders, one each side. Noticed them last month when I thought we'd done it, not sure they were there before. Now they're sore again. don't usually get sore boobies, but hey, I am knocking on a bit, so maybe things are just a-changing.

Well, we shall see what we shall see.
Going to put up curtain poles tomorrow, and maybe prune the trees in the garden- ate some naughty things today and feeling the guilt, so must go burn calories by getting muddy and waving tree loppers around. Woop! Tools with sharp bits...

I am finally ready for Christmas, spent all evening wrapping presents and sorting the house out, once work is over tomorrow I will feel like Christmas has started. I'm getting all excited now!

Feel better today. Haven't tested - will do a frer with fmu tomorrow if af hasn't arrived.

Had a good chat with dh. He's quite scientific and has been watching my chart with interest. He reminded me that this is the first month since the miscarriage that I've had a "normal" looking chart. Last month, I did eventually ov, but my lp was only 7 days! I'm on 11dpo today, so that's a real improvement! In short, even without a bfp, my cycles have regulated themselves, and that's good news!

Also, it's Christmas!!!!

Kitchen as festie said, not over until the hag whore comes, and yes, the only real positive is that you can drink copious amounts over the festive season!

I have resigned myself to the fact that I am not ov'ing and accept that and hope that the gynae can shed some more light and give me some magic pills!! I have decided that life is too short, what will be will be and that I am not going to let it get me down over Christmas. I plan to thoroughly enjoy myself, drink too much, eat too much and possible laugh too much!!!

I turn 30 next month and will hope for a nice shiny BFP as a present. Is that too much to ask?? Probably, but hey, I'm going to hold onto that hope regardless!! My DH has asked me to be more optimistic, so am making that a New Years resolution (one of many!) and might as well start now!!

Right, off to have my smear test and then much to do around the house, baking and tidying and generally being festive!!

Don't want the disappointment, but on the other hand, thought if it came up with a nice surprise, I could test with something more expensive (think I still have a CBD) and then wrap it up for DH to open tonight.

I don't know what to do!

Oh, and I'm the wrong person to ask I'm afraid! Tested this morning with a frer. BFN! Temp dipped slightly, so think the witch is on her way...

You could do a test, if af's on her way anyway, you've got that to content with whatever, but if she isn't it'd be good to know in advance! As you say, you can wrap it up.

My new years resolution has to be to wait till af is late to test. I am making myself obsessive and unhappy, I really have got to try and chill out about it a bit more, it's doing my head in!

OK, so I tested...

Did my IC and it came up.... +... not as strong as the control line, but definitely pink, and not one of these greyish-not-really-there-but-sort-of lines I've seen before.

So tested again with CBD... 2-3 weeks.

I'm... a bit stunned to say the least!
Going to wrap it up for DH as planned.

I really hope it sticks. Completely shitting bricks now that I don't do anything to jeopardise it!
Right. All my addictions have to go out of the window. Bye bye power tools and heavy lifting. So long feta cheese. Au revoir DIY.

OK, so you know, this was cycle 6, I'm 5'3", and I weighed 15st 9lb when I conceived. Take that BMI!

Nice to see you back again Moo, I missed you! How did the smear go? I rang up for my day 21 blood test results just before the surgery closed for Christmas and the receptionist said they were all 'normal'. I'm not taking much from that until I get to discuss them with the doctor (especially with things like hormone levels that fluctuate throughout the month) but heck, at least I'm anaemic or any of the other things he tested me for. I also haven't spotted yet, and I'm 7 dpo. The latest I've spotted was 9 dpo so I'm happy that my hormone levels have stayed up for now. My temperatures are also looking good so at least there is room for hope!

Fertility friend put my original ovulation the Tuesday before last, but I changed it to when I got a definite temperature shift because it also coincided with massive boob hurtage - what do fellow temping people reckon? Am I really 11 dpo?!

When DH got home, I had wrapped it up in a long jewellery box, and said it was a last minute thing, as I wasn't sure it would arrive in time (LOL!) and that I wasn't sure that he'd like it, but I really hoped he would... He was stunned. And then his face broke out into a massive grin. He squeezed me so hard that it made my boobs ache! And then he sat there, going 'oh my god, I can't believe we've done it'. I think it's relief we're feeling more than anything, knowing our bits are compatible, at least this far.
I have tonight to convince him not to go and start telling everyone! MUST wait for a scan to see if everything's ok.

Moo, if it makes you feel any better, when I went for my colposcopy, my cervix was so frightened it hid, and the doctor had to put a miner's helmet on and go spelunking. I think he found bats too, since it had been, um... about 8 years since I'd had any action.

Ru sulks, waaaaaaah! So very happy for you. What a fab Xmas present.
