The other thread was just about to fill up and so here we are again with a slightly different name now as many of us have been trying for well over 12 cycles now. We had a few great successes on Part 2, with a couple of people getting bfp's on their 17th and 19th month of trying. So let's hope for more successes on Part 3. (Moaning, crying, sadness, anxiety & bitterness is certainly allowed on here!)

Oh and no, I never got to 14dpo before. Or the test date on fertility friend without a temp drop and full on period. I have temper and opkd this month so feel relatively confident of ov day but you never know, it could have been a bit late.

Biscuitsandtea · 16/09/2011 18:51

Oh my goodness Wine and Joyce - I would so love this to be your month! I'm very quietly keeping everything crossed!

Obviously I'd love it to be all of your month (that's bad grammar but you know what I mean Smile)

I also totally understand the not wanting to even consider getting your hopes up, and trotting off to the bathroom every hour on the hour with a tampon ready to go!

But good luck anyway xx

Pixiepops · 16/09/2011 19:08

Just popping in ladies as not a lot to report from me (AF arrived as predicted yesterday), and more to the point the wine's just been opened...

Anway, just wanted to wish Joycep & Wine lots of luck. Fingers crossed a BFP or two are just around the corner Smile

AngelFairy · 16/09/2011 19:48

Hello lovely ladies...

Can I join your thread and maybe try to lighten the mood with my unusual optimistic mood today?
You see, I am symptom spotting like crazy and thus remain as optimistic as my fantasy world allows me! That is until AF (due 23Sep) arrives with her red boots stomping all over the place Angry

Like many of you lovelies, I have been ttc with my dh for over 1yr now. We have had all the tests; mine were all fine (Day3 FSH 5.4 LH 5.1, Day21 Prog 51.2nmol/L, tubes clear), and dh's (SA1 8mil, SA2 16mil, SA3 22mil). So we've been told to go away and keep trying... Hmm
But we are enjoying the process, always trying (no matter how hard) to remember why we are ttc - It's such a magical (and yet very frustrating) time!

I hope that sharing my journey with you guys will also give you the support your posts will give me.

Wink Much love x

skeletonbones · 16/09/2011 21:07

ooh its all took an exiting turn on here this afternoon ,I am really hoping for you joycep and wine it would be so great if this is the month when we get a run of bfp's as we're 14 pages in now without one, it must be time now Smile

welcome whenisitmyturn and angelfairy

I am due on on monday and have been having cramps yesterday (7dpo) havnt got my usual pre af sore boobs, but I am a bit anxious and tearfull which could be the start of the PMT so not getting my hopes up too much, although my boobs arn't sore to touch, I keep having weird tingling stabbing pains in them too Hmm

skeletonbones · 16/09/2011 21:30

forgot to say, so pleased for you that the scan went well biscuits 12 weeks seem to have gone fast!

joycep · 16/09/2011 22:34

After my long spiel - I can announce I am well and truly out. What a weird few days, the gods were truly playing tricks with me there. I am pretty sure sth was trying to implant. I should have been taken progesterone dammit. I dared to believe yesterday and today & foolishly started thinking about due dates. Disaster case! Anyway this means I can start self injecting on Sunday, whoopee
But wine hang on in there, you're flying the flag now , I am keeping everything crossed for you!
And skele good luck too

Hi ladies, haven't had time to post much but just wanted to pop in to say boo-hiss to the BFD Joycep. What a witch mother nature is, teasing you that way. Fingers crossed for wine now as our first BFP on the thread.

Hello to whenwillitbeme and angelfairy - in the nicest possible way, I hope your stay here is short :)

I am pretty sure I am out this month. Fairly un-ignorable spotting today. I'm only CD23 :(. Although I'd not had any symptoms to make me think I might be up-duffed, I wasn't expecting to see spotting so soon, so I was about deflated. And I was all set to POAS tomorrow, just for fun. Oh well, I guess now I get the fun of the 2ww whilst on holiday next month Hmm.

skeletonbones · 16/09/2011 22:58

sorry to hear that af started Joycep I will move on to hoping that you are our first IUI success on here for next month, also sorry to hear about AF arrival/spotting for you as well pixie and nelly arse and bums Angry

whereismywine · 17/09/2011 14:39

Small update from phone. 15dpo and another lonely bfn, temps still up high. One smudgy brown wipe this morning and nothing since, no cramps. All I can think is that I ovulated later than I thought but with a positive opk on day 14 and 15 and clear temp shift on cd16 I thought fertility friend would have been right. Hmm just waiting for period now, keep getting that 'wet' feeling (sorry!) down below but it's just clear stuff. Worried this is going to be the mother of all periods! Fed up of limbo now so bring on cd1. And, if ov was a little late, we missed the party! Thanks for the good wishes though. Am worried that trustworthy temp watching is now of no use. Grumble. Hope your tingly boobs are a good sign skeleton! I fear I will passing the bfp flag to you before the day is done. Af nearly always calls in the middle of the night for me tho (have had bedside tampax and paracetamol ready for three days now!)

So sorry joycep I thought we both might be bump buddies for a fleeting moment. I hate how the daydreams get you. Huge hug and know that you aren't alone. We'll all be here for you on your iui egg hunt and rescue adventure x

joycep · 17/09/2011 14:52

wine - I can understand the lack of optimism but personally I think it is all sounding really good. Temps high means you're still producing progesterone so sth is clealy going on. Many women don't get a bfp until later on - in fact i didn't get one until 17dpo last year. Anyway I am optimistic for you. Best of luck!!
I am having a mother of AF, I really feel like sth happened this month and a bean tried to embed Sad. thanks skele and nervous for kind wishes.

whereismywine · 17/09/2011 17:01

Thanks joycep I'd didn't know you had a bfp last year, so sorry to hear that. I feel in a land of limbo. I think you just read that everyone seems to get their bfps at 12dpo or earlier so 15dpo feels a bit unlikely. I really couldn't call what is going to happen but am leaning mostly towards disappointment! Have cried at both bfns/spotting wipes so think will have to be brave if it goes all to pot.

whereismywine · 17/09/2011 17:02

Also, sorry af is being a brute and left you wondering what happened, it is rubbish that we will never know.

popcorn78 · 17/09/2011 17:43

Hi ladies. Having a manic weekend with rellies visiting, so just popping in. So sorry to joycep for the arrival of af. I do hope you are ok and that the thought of iui next helps to ease the crapness a bit. Also so pleased for biscuits that all is well for the mini-biscuit, wonderful news and hope you can relax a bit.

wine this must be so hard for you, sending massive hugs. I can't tell you how much I'm hoping this is it for you, but totally understand that you want to protect yourself by not getting your hopes up too much. I'd be exactly the same. Anyway I am thinking of you and wishing you all the luck in the world.xx

Hi to new ladies! This is a fantastic thread and even though it's sad that so many of us have the same problem, it is also reassuring to find that there are others that go through the ups and downs when you can feel pretty isplated in RL.

whereismywine · 17/09/2011 18:05

Thanks popcorn it means a lot. Also so sorry biscuits wrapped up in my AWOL period mini drama I forgot to say congratulations! It must feel so nice to cross that milestone. Are you telling people now?

Karbea · 17/09/2011 18:17

wine I'm feeling really positive for you too, sounds pretty good to me, fingers crossed!

I'm due on tmr, I've had a little bit of slightly darker coloured discharge (tmi) so I suspect AF will arrive tmr. Which is just as well as dh and I got pretty drunk last night. Oops. Quiet night in tonight.

joycep · 17/09/2011 19:39

Wine - As time goes on and disappointment becomes all too familiar, it is only natural to lean that way but we are all rooting for you. It must be torture for you . Hopefully you'll get an answer very soon. Yes got a bfp very soon after we started trying but m/c at 7wks which was 17 cycles ago now. Fertility is weird! Sending lucky thoughts to you !!
Thanks popcorn - hope your weekend with replies is goig well. Hi karbea

joy cep hello backatcha! At least you know you can fall, I'm convinced something is badly wrong with me. I had this super short cycle about 2 and a half years ago (11 days) and I'm convinced something happened that cycle that has broken something :(

joycep · 17/09/2011 19:56

Oh Karbea , it's awful when you have short cycles. I remember when I first started having sex (I was quite old - in my 20s!) and my period started coming every 2 weeks for 3 months and it went straight back to 28 days normal after I finished with the guy I was seeing. I honestly think my body went in to shock. But you have had all your bloods done haven't you and everything appears fine right??

OP posts:
Karbea · 17/09/2011 21:45

AF just arrived, 23 bl**dy days!!!!!

Yes my results were fine, I reckon I've blocked tubes :( feeling rubbish!!!!

joycep · 17/09/2011 22:32

Oh Karbea I am sorry. How utterly crap. What was your LP this month and what were your progesterone results when you had those done? It's so awful having short cycles, I really do sympathise, it's just a feeling of hopelessness. I hope you get a good night sleep. A few of us have AF on this thread now urrghhh

OP posts:
Karbea · 17/09/2011 22:49

I don't know what my lp was as I didn't temp or use any of my monitors this month, I figured I'd just try a au natural month...

I'll sleep ok, dh and I have just had a chat about what we are doing next with this and agreed to go to the docs as soon as we have one nr our n ew home and get the next set of tests done on me. The we will have a chat after that t o see if we try ivf or adoption...

Karbea · 17/09/2011 22:52

results here are my results...

NervousNelly · 17/09/2011 23:21

Evening ladies. I'm sorry we are all having a bit of a head-fuck day ( apologies for swearing, I may have had quite a lot of some wine. )

To add to the confusion, my surprise spotting surprised me even more by being a (TMI) proper bloody wipe at bed time last night. So tampon in, at CD23Angry. Then this morning, took it out but didn't put another in. All day - nothing. Cue me getting all ridiculously hopeful. But about 5 mins ago just wiped to find spotting again Sad.

Not helped my in-laws staying. Ok in itself, but they asked about Christmas plans, which were basically all leading to her saying that SIL was back on the Folic acid, so they are planning on there being baby no 2 by next Christmas. The sheer presumptuousness made me angry, but the fact I know she'll be pregnant again before me made me feel unbelievably sad.

Sorry for the Me post. Blame the wine, and the MIL Hmm. Normal service from me tomorrow I hope Smile

whereismywine · 18/09/2011 09:24

Morning. Well put nelly it was a head fuck day indeed. I'm afraid owing be bringing a bfp to the thread, af came in the early hours after a long drawn out 15 day wait. I'm pretty convinced that ov day was spot on and have never gone to day15 before. Also before we went to the pub last night we did another test which was a bfn but an hour later there was a thin thin blue line that wasn't there in the morning one.dh could see it but said he would invest no hope in it cos it was after the 10 mins. But I've never seen a line ever, ever, no matter how long I've left it. Cue me feeling a little excited. I rarely get so little spotting and I've had tingly boobs for days, not sore boobs.

Anyhow, at the pub with dhs friends who I thought were safe territory as they are younger and have never seemed in baby making mode, well you cn guess whats coming, one of the couples had just had their 12 week scan. Luckily dh had gone to pick them up and dropped them at the pub before getting me so could tell me before we left. I kept popping to the loo all night, drinking lime and soda, no period or spotting and allowed myself to think that I might be joining them. So today feels really rather crap. No idea why I had such a long luteal phase and the lack of spotting is most unusual for me, but I guess a good thing? Was that my first evap line? Probably. But i do wonder... (dh will have none if it)

The couple said they'd bought their new house ready to start a family, just it had come along quicker than they expected. They looked so happy and the conversation was about babies most of the night and another couple revealed they are trying soon. It all just seemed so easy for them? So understand how you felt last night nelly it seems to me that people say they want a baby and then have a baby!

joycep so sad to hear about the mc but...your body can do this and I really do believe that so keep thinking it.

Hycosy now for me. And then I really don't know. It's a crawl under a stone kind of day.
