Welcome across Rat Smackers! Glad you found the place okay. This is THE MONTH when we get those deceitful pee sticks to own up to the BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS - we are all already preggers! After all; positive people get positive pee sticks!

I hope you all like what I've done with our new home

You'll note the updated title, courtesy of farfalla. Various healthy snacks have been set out on the coffee tables, to ensure our bumps are receiving the appropriate nutritional balance

Also, my personal favourite adjustment, you'll note the strategically positioned peephole, right here, providing us with a sneaky preview of the utopian delights awaiting us in the NO BROOKING vomitorium ante-natal thread.

So let's get to it preggos! Remember: see a rat - smack it!

I'm loving all the talk about the various super cute DC you all have! It really makes me wonder what a miniperson of my very own would be like!?! The age when they are taking their first few steps is just adorable. There are lots of DC in my extended family at the moment, who are all between about 9 months and 18 months, it's just such a gorgeous age!

Well I'm heading up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival first thing tomorrow morning! I can't wait! I'll have my phone with me so I'll be doing lots of lurking and watching out for all the imminent BFPs! Fingers crossed for Have and anyone else testing this week! Plus I think there's a 3-way synchronised BFP-confirmation coming up in a few days?! Best of luck to you all! I'll probably be even quieter for the next week though, whilst I try to distract myself from the gruelling first week of the 2ww! I may need to buy myself either a Gu or M&S ramekin on my way home, purely for scientific testing purposes of course!

Good luck everyone!

I have to admit I will probably stick to my old plastic tub for POAS. The ramekin just seems wrong to me too. Not that I will be POAS cos I'm aff it again. Got it out of my system last month, so that'll do.

Enjoy the festival Scream I never have gone to any shows, despite living less than an hour away for about 10 years! Not so close these days.

Ooh I'd love a newborn head to sniff. I think I didn't sniff DS's enough as I was somewhat zombie-like for the first couple of months. (I still sniff him now actually, and he's nearly 23mo Blush)

dreamfeeder · 07/08/2011 22:03

oooh, have, thats a lot better than af!!! eeek, fingers crossed- I mean, not that you'll ned to bearing in mind you're Brooking No Argument and all Grin

dreamfeeder · 07/08/2011 22:03

and generic, sooo glad you popped in Grin

havealittlefaithbaby · 08/08/2011 07:22

Morning all, how are we?
No news here. Temp remains much the same (so wasn't just cheeky booze keeping it high). Still just got the faintest hint of af in cm but not even enough to class as spotting. No tests so no answers there.
In summary: cd26 (usually 25-29 cycle), 15 dpo (only been 13 or 15 before). Boobs still huge, temp still up, mega bad nausea in car on way to work.
May cave and purchase tests today for the morning. Anyone else?

CODwidow · 08/08/2011 07:42

I will be testing wed morning as had to wake in the night to wee and still have similar symptoms, fx to you x

Imps7 · 08/08/2011 08:46

Have my friend, you have to test!! Oooooh I so hope it's your month, would love to hear news of another BFP!

Won't be testing for another 3 weeks...assuming ov happens to plan, that is!

GenericDietCola · 08/08/2011 09:00

Oh Have sounds very promising. Would be a good idea to test tomorrow morning with a sensitive one.

Good luck COD as well.

Jaggy I sniff DD's head too and she's 23 mo also. She still smells gorgeous though!

Scream you will have that super cute baby scream in 9 months - not long to wait! Enjoy Edinburgh.

I'm so fed up of the 2ww. At least a week until I should test, but I have a cupboard full of cheapies and it's so tempting to get out a ramekin. I am determined to wait though as I don't want the disappointment of BFN.

jenfraggle · 08/08/2011 09:09

Last night I had some sharp pain in my right breast. The night before I had it in my belly. Signs or me being silly?

scarletfingernail · 08/08/2011 09:51

have I don't know how you can wait any longer. If it were me I'd have tested already this morning. You are soooo preggers.

Fingers crossed for you COD too.

CD22 for me and I'm only 5DPO but I'm already looking for signs! I've had a few twinges in the uterus and tingles in the nipple area but not sure if I really have or if it's just my over-active imagination. I'll be waiting at least another week before I test, probably longer (unless I get an unlwelcome visit from AF before then)

Enjoy Edinburgh Scream

GenericDietCola · 08/08/2011 10:42

Scarlet me ole cycle buddy I am spotting nonexistent symptoms too such as sore boobs. Can't wait until our joint confirmation with Dream so we can start observing and enjoying the real symptoms.

dreamfeeder · 08/08/2011 11:20

indeed ladies, we shall all be confirming in the next 2 weeks, peaking at weekend of 20/21st!!! generic, hold your horses, we DO NOT want a false negative, we shall unite this thread in celebration with our triple BFP's soon enough Grin

have, get yourself on that CBD tomorrow morning, positive signs of your definite pregnancy so far!
And good luck COD, after 4 DC you'll be good at sign-spotting, I have faith in your dizziness etc bbeing your Definitely Brooking-No-Argument-ly preggers!

a quick chorus:

what do we want? Positive Pee Sticks
when do we want them? NOW!!

GenericDietCola · 08/08/2011 11:46

Dream I have a tear in my eye at your enthusiasm and positivity - just what I needed! BTW I have to sneak on secretly as I don't want DH knowing just how obsessed committed to getting preggo I am.

scarletfingernail · 08/08/2011 12:05

My cheapo pee sticks have been dispatched from Amazon. They were sooo cheap it would be rude not to use them. But will wait for another week. If I am getting a BFP this month realistically it will be another week and a half.

Does anyone else get random cramping of the period type at various stages of their cycle? I've only noticed this over the last couple of months. It doesn't just tie in with AF and OV, I've got it now. I'm not thinking this is a preggo symptom as I also had it last month.

DS and I are having a lovely day today just the 2 of us. The weather is rubbish and we are holed up indoors building mega block towers.

scarletfingernail · 08/08/2011 12:09

I agree Generic, your positivity is just what I needed too dream
I was convinced this morning that I'm not pregnant and have already been working out next month's SWI schedule! But of course you're right, it is far too early to know and there will be 3 more confirmed BFPs next week.

havealittlefaithbaby · 08/08/2011 14:10

Yup smiles please scarlet none of this morose attitude. You're pregnant. End of.
Just a quick update since I'm sure you're all curious, despite ridiculously frequent knicker checking, no af. Even the hint seems to have gone now. Watch this space!

thelittlefriend · 08/08/2011 14:17

Glad to hear you're not out of the running yet have. Fingers crossed for you & everyone else testing soon!

GenericDietCola · 08/08/2011 14:41

Oh have you are soooo pregnant! Are you confirming tomorrow or keeping us hanging on until Wednesday?

farfallarocks · 08/08/2011 15:50

have keeping all crossed for you!

What a horrendous week. I managed to ovulate spot on on Saturday, timing would have been perfect. Sadly DH in total depressive spiral. Not sleeping, not eating as he is so stressed about work (and these markets are not helping!)
He did not even come to a party with me on Saturday as he was just too low. I wish he was happier, not sure how I can help him to be honest.

So I am totally OUT this month, absolute no chance and I am trying not to be cross with him but sometimes I just feel like screaming at him. Went for lunch with mates on Sunday, loads of babies, one more preggers person announced and DH caught be looking forlorn. Came over to me and said don;t worry it will be us soon. HOW??? maybe an immaculate conception perhaps!

So my new strategy is to leave him alone totally and wait for him to initiate activity even if it means leaving it a month or so. Gawd, and I well horny.

dreamfeeder · 08/08/2011 16:09

have, if you're at work, your colleagues will think you've got a bladder problem with all this running off and knicker checking (unless you're doing it in a 'subtle' fashion under your desk or something...). There is NO NEED for that faffing, you're knocked up, there will be no af!!! So when are you bringing out the big guns (FR or CBD!?)

I am also convinced i'm not pregnant scarlett, i think i just spotted more EWCM, today, on day 24. So I have no idea if/when I've ovulated or whether or not that rat got a spanking this month... Luckily I insisted on a generic style security shag last night!!! You on the other hand will have
had success with your shag dictator Grin

Hence the cheerleading- keeping my optimism up sometimes

farfalla, tht's grim- my dh comes home like that sometimes, fixated on the bad bits, saying he can't stick at his job til he retires, thinking about dropping hours can't cope... luckily so far these sitautions last a few weeks at worst (so far) but I can hazard a guess at what you mean. I hope he does manage to do something positive to cheer himself up. What a shame he was too down to be seduced. You sound much nicer than me- I would have gone a bit mental if DH had agreed to ttc but then wouldn't DTD at the necessary time!!!!! (nb- i DO NOT mean that is the right or even an acceptable attitude to ttc!!!! just my impatience/badness!)

GenericDietCola · 08/08/2011 16:30

Dream I am still getting EWCM and I'm fairly sure I ov'd over a week ago. Maybe it's an early sign of pg (probably). Re the security shagging - I don't think it was me that said it initially, although I certainly endorse it when we're unsure of our cycles!

Farfalla sorry to hear your DH is so down. You are being very nice by being patient and I think that is probably the best idea in your case as further pressure on him to perform will only add to his current stress.

scarletfingernail · 08/08/2011 16:31

Good to hear from you farfalla Sorry to hear your DH is feeling miserable. FWIW I think your strategy sounds like the way to go. We had a break from it all a few of months back for a couple of months. We planned loads of nice things together and just enjoyed each other's company. When we dtd it was because we both wanted to rather than feeling pressured because of ovulation. We're back on with the SWI as you've seen from my updates, but I think we both benefitted from not worrying about it for a bit.

farfallarocks · 08/08/2011 16:42

Trust me I have tried the shouting and getting upset technique and it did not help remotely!
So now taking the soft softly approach, at least I shall have an angst free two week wait!

I did say thought I was worried he was having second thoughts about a baby and he reassured me that was not the case.

EWCM later in the cycle is a good sign dream I think, could be another BFP, we need a few more on this thread!

havealittlefaithbaby · 08/08/2011 18:36

yes generic, have decided to keep you all in suspense a little longer. Discussed situation with DH, if still in same place today will purchase pee sticks tomorrow from Boots I think....FR were on offer in Tesco (2 for £7.50) will see what bargain I get from Boots (it's next to my gym). I was at work *dream, kept things fairly under control this morning (ward round, only popped off twice). This afternoon was in the office and due to increased frequency of peeing (upduffedness, nothing to do with juice carton, tea and 1 litre water) could check to my heart's content!
farfalla I completely understand. My DH is in construction, middle management, so always threatened with redunduncy (think we've survived 3 or is it 4 rounds? since he started 4 years ago). He suffers with stress and sometimes goes off sex or is just too stressed. It's not easy to not get annoyed when you're trying and he won't swi. I think you have the patience of a saint. Hope things improve soon!

dreamfeeder · 08/08/2011 20:23

Oh, sorry generic, maybe it was scream that launched the 'security shag' idea- certainly what i was thinking of last night when i demanded swi!!! Either way, it makes me chuckle at the general romance of ttc... Smile

I've got to be v quick before DH comes in from garden and catches me on MN- definite bad temper if so!!!!

Good idea have, nothing more anxiety-inducing than a bfn when you think, oh but it could be too early etc etc. Much as i'm dying for you to test, unless it was a bfp or af arrived i wouldn't have believed you weren't preggers no matter what the lying pee sticks said til wed!!

Don't think this EWCM means anything, i think i only ov 2 or 3 days ago anyway, but as i said, wierd signals, and it is still early in getting af back at all- the last was only my second since Nov 2009!!! made up for it though, was hell.... but i'm crossing everything, everything, for a bfp

Imps, start psyching yourself up, give those ovaries a good talking to, let them know you'll be brooking no argument.

And little, pop those b6/b complex vitamins and ditto as for imps!!!
