Welcome across Rat Smackers! Glad you found the place okay. This is THE MONTH when we get those deceitful pee sticks to own up to the BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS - we are all already preggers! After all; positive people get positive pee sticks!

I hope you all like what I've done with our new home

You'll note the updated title, courtesy of farfalla. Various healthy snacks have been set out on the coffee tables, to ensure our bumps are receiving the appropriate nutritional balance

Also, my personal favourite adjustment, you'll note the strategically positioned peephole, right here, providing us with a sneaky preview of the utopian delights awaiting us in the NO BROOKING vomitorium ante-natal thread.

So let's get to it preggos! Remember: see a rat - smack it!

biscuits good to see you back and hello to everyone else
What are you all up to today? not much here except setting up my new sewing machine. I think the shagathon may creak into first gear this weekend, what shall i do differently this month? I'm thinking i should throw those pee sticks a curve ball this month...
I may have to have some cheesecake for breakfast as we have no bread and i can't be arsed to get dressed and go to the shop. Is that wrong?

havealittlefaithbaby · 06/08/2011 09:20

Definitely have cheesecake for breakfast. Sounds wonderful.
I have a ramekin selected for imminent testing...decided to class it up a bit. No plastic pots for me anymore!
CODwidow are you hoping for a girl this time? Or do you just want a big family?

Piglet28 · 06/08/2011 09:36

Arrgghh poop BFN then AF got me this morning! After lots of promising signs his month too... bugger!!

Good luck to everyone else! x

jaggythistle · 06/08/2011 10:29

do ramekins display extra no brooking attitude? do i need to do a cupboard rummage prior to any testing?

i would have cheesecake for every frickin meal ninja, hope you had some. Grin

hi CODwidow :)

sorry piglet this is totally your month though...

not up to much this weekend, more rat smacking no doubt. might give DH a day off. no sign of ov on chart yet. I've had every day from 14-19 so far, given up guessing!

havealittlefaithbaby · 06/08/2011 10:59

Sorry to hear that piglet. So now it's cd1 you're definitely pregnant this month.
BTW ninja since you asked today we are laying laminate in the kitchen and I will be gardening. Curry with dsis and bil tonight :)
Not that long ago people were saying they used a ramekin to test -so classy- so I will this month too!

CODwidow · 06/08/2011 12:04

Hiya nice to be made welcome, apparently im not allowed on other threads as I already have ds. Not really after a girl I'm happy with either, I love my boys and look forward to bags of washing being bought home in years to come lol!! Well very painful boots today and keep getting very dizzy but I'm sure my body does this on purpose just to laugh at me when af arrives! Angry

jaggythistle · 06/08/2011 13:07

yeah have, i was trying to remember if any ramekin users have confirmed their Bfps. ok, maybe I've taken that too far...

COD with only one DS who is nearly 2, my mind boggles at how busy your wee guys must keep you. :)

mine was being extra cute today, was just cuddling him to sleep for his nap, when he reached up and stroked my hair and said 'nice mummy'. not sure what he meant by that but it was accompanied by a beaming smile so i liked it. Grin

thelittlefriend · 06/08/2011 13:24

Right, I've metaphorically slapped myself for getting so down about everything and I'm back, ready for the positivity to do it's work.

jaggythistle · 06/08/2011 14:06

mmmm cookies...

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 06/08/2011 14:36

I'm supposed to be studying hard today and tomorrow for some exams I have coming up, but I just had to come online and say WOOHOO!! It's on!! The opks are telling me to go go go!

It's silly even though I haven't used opks before, in previous months I could tell from other signs (like cm) that I ov on day 10. So it really shouldn't be a big deal that the opks this month are confirming what I already knew (today is day 9). It's just that this is the FIRST TIME a pee stick has ever given me the answer I wanted! Lol! For some bizarre reason that just makes me feel like maybe this really is THE MONTH!!

So far we have SWI'd on days 4, 6 and 8, now as soon as DH gets home it will be tonight, tomorrow morning and tomorrow eve as well! With security shagging every other day from Monday.

Oooooooooo I can't wait!! I'm all fired up again. This is THE MONTH for all of us! Pee sticks beware, we are BROOKING NO ARGUMENT (in a totally non-psycho way of course, ahem).

Welcome to COD, it's great to have you with us! Biscuits you are looking lovely as always, positively glowing with super-healthy pregnancy hair! Helloooooo to everyone else as well! Would anyone care for a jelly snake?

Jaggy- they do keep me really busy but I really love it and make sure everyone gets some one on one time which is challenging but can be done Smile

Wishing the week away atm tryingso hard to wait to poas but think I'm going to crack by Tuesday possibly mondayBlush

scarletfingernail · 06/08/2011 17:30

Welcome COD, I'd love 4 DS's. Obviously I don't really mind what sex DC2 is but DS1 is so gorgeous I'd be overjoyed to have another boy. I think DH will put an end to TTC though after DC2, neither of us have the energy for any more. (DCs not TTC - although we haven't got the energy for any more of that at the moment either).

Sad sorry piglet to hear about AF rocking up. This will be her last visit for a while though.

have I will also be using a ramekin if I get reason to test this month. I didn't have any until I purchased a couple of those yummy GU desserts (no baking in this house Blush) so I will also be a member of the ramekin brigade.

Great news Scream get rat smacking, you will get your BFP this month.

jaggy how cute of your son. Mine's been a little bugger all day today. "No Mummy, no kiss, away" every time I get near.

DH is cooking tonight, he insisted for the first time this year. Don't know what that's all about but I'm not complaining. Not had a drink all week so might have to open some Wine very soon and relax knowing I haven't got to SWI tonight. (CD20 here, let the 2ww commence!)

dreamfeeder · 06/08/2011 18:26

oh jaggy, i'm Envy at no more swi, as i have no idea whats going on we are still in the shagathon. We started at cd 9 and are on cd22 with only one day off!!!!! bloody hell, i just realised why it feels like its been going on forever- BECAUSE IT HAS!!!!!!!

Hello cod I'd love 4 DC, but dh only really wants two. I'm definitely hoping for 3 though...sometimes dh seems to agree/be coming round and others he doesn't but as we're only ttc no. 2 now i'm trying not to worry about it but actually can't remember the last day i didn't think about it fingers crossed for you- dizzy and sore boobs has got to mean a positive pee stick!

I'm quite taken with the idea of a ramekin. I shall join Club Ramekin if i can find a reason to test this month Smile. it will also be a Gu dessert ramekin. Now, why would you need to bake when you can buy Gu?! Adore it Grin says she who is very proud of having made an apple and blackcurrant crumble today (this needs announcing as i can't bake to save my life)

Good to see you back little my cycle buddy. I'm hoping you smacked that rat good and proper after fanny cam Grin. Positivity (while it does lead to positive pee sticks of course) can be elusive....

dreamfeeder · 06/08/2011 18:28

and jaggy, your DS sounds adorable. My DD is totally enthralled with her grandpa who's visiting today and hasn't really glanced twice at me today!!!!!

CODwidow · 06/08/2011 18:41

Ok so ive totally convinced myself for a 7th month that I'm defo getting a bfp, I'm totally exhausted have been for a week now (more than usual with 4 ds lol) and my boobs tingle like the letdown feeling with bf???

thelittlefriend · 06/08/2011 18:58

I'm going to dig out a ramekin to pee in too. That could be where I've been going wrong.

Dream yes, lots of rats got smacked after fannycam. Then fucking af turned up. Meaning my suspicions about having a very short luteal phase were confirmed. Which is why I was feeling less then positive for a few days. I've started taking a B6 supplement which might help and I'm seeing my gp for the follow up appointment on Wednesday, so we'll see what comes of that.

scarletfingernail · 06/08/2011 19:05

Hi little hope you're feeling better.

Can I ask you about the B6? I have suspicions that my MCs were due to low progesterone (I won't bore you with why I suspect that) which I also know is linked to a short luteal phase. As I've not had the 3 MCs required for gynae investigations I've no idea how to go about getting B6. I've started taking B vitamin complex which contains B6 but I think it only contains a very low dosage. Is this the same as what you're having or have you been told to get or prescribed something else?

havealittlefaithbaby · 06/08/2011 19:15

My ramekin is Gu one too!

thelittlefriend · 06/08/2011 19:21

Hi scarlet. I searched for advice online and saw that if you want to take a B vitamin supplement you should always take a complex one (something to do with needing to ensure you have full dose of all of them for any to work I think). However, like you say, the B6 dose is low in the standard ones from pharmacies. I read that starting with a 50mg b6 supplement for short luteal phase is best, so ordered one from here. Now I take both and have my fingers crossed! DISCLAIMER: - thelittlefriend is not qualified to give any medical advice Wink

scarletfingernail · 06/08/2011 19:54

Grin if only the makers of Gu knew of the other purposes of ramekins.

Thanks for that little I might well order some of those and don't worry if I suddenly sprout 2 more heads I won't hold you responisble Wink
