Yes, I love the idea about the "ping" noise. Seriously though, I wonder if there is a sign. I know someone who swears they knew immediately, like they could feel all the cells joining together. I wouldn't want to completely dismiss the idea that this is possible, but how likely is it really do you think?

I don't know. When i got pg with ds i knew within about 10 days. But then again it was the first month of trying so did I actually know or did I put together a list of feelings and assume and was fortunate enough to be correct? I guess I'll never know which is a little disappointing!
Personally I think your wee should change colour, to something you would really notice like purple. I like the 'ping' idea too. But maybe you should get intermittent pings coming up to ov, and a double or triple ping to let you know you've ov'd and you should grab a last shag? And a different tone ping when you get pg?

Excellent suggestions! We could have a whole range of different sound effects for the various stages of the ttc process! For example the moment of ov should be a popping sound, and the moment of sperm meeting egg should be the sharp sound of a bat connecting with a rat! Splat!

Got through work ok but was sat in outpatient clinic thinking I might fall asleep/pass out! Symptoms now consist of: aforementioned fatigue, big sore boobies, dizziness, increased frequency of peeing because I've chugged down so much water . I'm currently cd21/11 dpo. FF reckons af due Wednesday...based on a 24-29 day cycle over last 7 months and luteal phase that's been 13, 15 (twice) and one 19 which it shouldn't count surely cos it was a chemical pregnancy hence the length ? So officially I should test Wednesday so I'll probably test at the weekend wait til then.

Someone once suggested it would be helpful if your wee turned purple when upduffed. This would be.my preferred way of knowing.

maybe it's twins have or even triplets? You are obviously extremely upduffed and so should rest up and eat treats.

have, how many days til final confirmation of your bfp???? i can hardly wait!!! totally nesting. I quite regularly have a strop about the state of the house. Before DD arrived i used to regularly announce 'Right. We are doing Team Cleaning. No-one eats or does anything fun til the Whole House is clean and tidy' Worked a treat on gaining DH's compliance. He knew true rage . Though I'd then say facetious things like ' have you dusted or vacuumed the skirting boards?' and all he'd ever say was, 'oh, but i couldn't sleep if i hadn't....' Which clearly meant 'no but i won't admit it' but has to throw a doubt on some of the effectiveness of Team Cleaning.

ninja, i feel like i've done my shagging quota for the next 6 months already... talk about a shagathon. this hasn't happened, or anything like it,since i first got together with DH... oh, fingers crossed...

LOVE the sounds effects idea. Would clarify everything. I've never really believed people who said they knew the instant they'd concieved. For both my BFP's i KNEW they'd be positive before i POAS'd, but thats because i got the unmistakable early sign of needing to pee in the night. (luckily a friend had had that as a first sign too and told me about it so i recognised what it might be) Not as a one off, every night from about 3 weeks pg- so one week after implantation???. I really hope i get it again in a way, though it is damn inconvenient

p.s. ninja, . My DH would never, ever, ever, in his wildest dreams think about somethign like that. He is the least romantic person I have ever met. But he has many other good qualities (like a very good sense of direction- i always used to be constantly lost!) so that has had to become less important!!

I have stopped doing DS's morning BF, figuring it might somehow help to avoid the night/early morning high prolactin levels, just in case it makes implantation more successful or something.
spent a lot of time googling in order to guarantee pg confirmation soon. Means he just has a couple of tiny feeds in the afternoon/evening. I think he might be losing interest a bit, he will be 2 next month though so I think we have managed ok. >>>>back to rat smacking :)

jaggy, i'm feeding morning and night and definitely not in the day... especially not to get her to sleep for her morning nap touch wood, she has slept through, oh miracle of miracles, for a couple of weeks now so that's meant no night feeds. However was feeding loads in night and day at end of last cycle (my first AF since having her)/ beginning of this cycle so don't know if that will have affected this month. Yeah, the ttc while bf thread does seem really quiet nowadays. I'm quite sad I feed her so little in a way, but it was her choice- for a while even to get her to feed at night I was having to try and force her physically into a feeding position while she tried to baby stomach crunch out of it....was never successful then anyway. and she was only 8 months old then. totally disinterested. She feeds much better at night now, and will feed to go down for a nap if need be- which would have been out of the question a month ago. So I feel doubly guilty that she might now feed a lot more if I offered, but I don't as ttc. she doesn't indicate she's keen in the day and i deprive her but i still feel a bit guilty. I think it's worth trying to cut your DS's feed and see- i always worry i'll be in the group who just can't get knocked up while bf, but i don't actually know what proportion of women that is. When did you first get AF? Did you have to do anything to get AF started again? Mine only came back when DD dramatically refused all daytime feeds... Sorry, long boring digression into the intricacies of our bf!!!

have, 6 days to go and counting!!!! I never tested early, ever, because if it would have been a BFN I would have convinced myself I'd just tested too early and got a false negative. However, should you like to POAS earlier for us, I'm dying to hear your BFP!!! You are sounding more and more preggers with every post and positively blooming.

have gone to every other day now with less of a big build up to ov panic, don't think DH was enjoying it!

Love all the ideas re knowing when you've ovulated/conceived. Didn't someone earlier on this thread suggest a panty liner that changed colour at ovulation - now that would be a great idea. Surely science could make that happen?

I had a really wierd dream earlier this month that as i wasn't getting knocked up, DH and i were basically going round to people who'd advertised their impregnating services (?!) and i was being encouraged to go and shag these wierd men to get pg.... bloody bizarre,so glad that was a dream!!!
