Welcome across Rat Smackers! Glad you found the place okay. This is THE MONTH when we get those deceitful pee sticks to own up to the BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS - we are all already preggers! After all; positive people get positive pee sticks!

I hope you all like what I've done with our new home

You'll note the updated title, courtesy of farfalla. Various healthy snacks have been set out on the coffee tables, to ensure our bumps are receiving the appropriate nutritional balance

Also, my personal favourite adjustment, you'll note the strategically positioned peephole, right here, providing us with a sneaky preview of the utopian delights awaiting us in the NO BROOKING vomitorium ante-natal thread.

So let's get to it preggos! Remember: see a rat - smack it!

generic, love it, go forth and apply for will-get-up-updiffed pHD!! when will you be confirming? week of 15th?

GenericDietCola · 03/08/2011 22:04

Hi dream sorry, busy night here, only just sat down (poor me)

Sorry to hear about your DH's bad day. Hope you can get him to unwind and shag you

I shall be confirming w/c 15th - was planning to wait until the weekend (20th) but now I think we're going to be away so my dilemma is whether to confirm before weekend away, or just wait til after

What about you?

scarletfingernail · 03/08/2011 22:08

Massive congratulations Mines Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Good grief it's hot here, took DS ages to get sleep. DH is out this evening, but he does know what is required of him on his return. I'm just hoping I can stay awake (and he doesn't stink of beer too much) as tonight is THE night.

I've found over what now adds up to a couple of years of TTC with DH that subtlety is wasted on him and I now just spell it out. He seems to appreciate knowing in advance. I know it takes the romance out of it a little, but we're both getting on a bit (especially him) and don't feel like we dare miss any opportunities.

GenericDietCola · 03/08/2011 22:21

Good for you Scarlet do what you need to do because this month is The Month and he has to meet you half way (fnar). Looking forward to our synchronised BFPs!

GenericDietCola · 03/08/2011 22:23

Oh and Minesa - any tips? So thrilled for you and hope you enjoy the rest of the hols.

scarletfingernail · 03/08/2011 22:27

Oh yes Mines please tell if there's anything you did this month apart from the obvious SWI at the right time.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 03/08/2011 22:28

Congratulations to Mines! Excellent rat-smacking technique!

Quick one as still camping in the middle of nowhere. Just had to pop on and congratulate Minesa (who I also pronounced Minessa) on that BFP. Glad you found a pee stick to endorse you Smile. How many weeks do you hunk you are? Good luck with the in-laws Grin x

Biscuitsandtea · 04/08/2011 06:38

Ha ha ha hunk should have been think Blush

havealittlefaithbaby · 04/08/2011 07:01

So, so, so tired. That is all.

Biscuitsandtea · 04/08/2011 07:14

Have can you hear my dad's snoring from wherever you are? He snores like a fricking train Angry

I thought DS might keep me awake when camping but it is my dad! Worst 2 nights sleep ever Sad. I have actually recorded it to play to DH when I get home Blush

Obviously though you tired because you are so glowingly preggers Smile

Mines, firstly huge congrats, secondly, I have just spat my coffee out all over my keyboard. How RUDE of them, do they not know the etiquette??
We have been on a 'clothing optional' holiday before, booked totally by accident but we got into it in the end, its pretty liberating isn't it?

dreams, my DH is the grumpiest ok? We are in day 3 of the grump. We at least managed to talk about his work and we have agreed he should start to put the feelers out and think about other things. The pressure is just too much and its not worth it. Absolutely no SWI for me either, did not even try and I knew it would end in another row. However, good news is, still on highs so am keeping everythingn crossed I don;t peak until the weekend and I am still in with a chance for this month.

dreamfeeder · 04/08/2011 09:36

farfalla sounds like a fool proof plan! A convenient weekend ovulation will be just the ticket. My lovely DH did eventually perform a duty shag last night with some bad grace but hey, if it works it'll have been worth it!!!

minesa, what were they thinking!?! How rude, they should have stripped off immediately but I am very proud of your shrugging it off Grin well done!!!!

dreamfeeder · 04/08/2011 09:46

p.s farfalla, we are entering a Day of Reprieve from the Grump as it is his day off. I am going to push my luck and go for a morning nap shag too if poss to smack that rat good and proper! Esp as I have convinced myself on the most minimal evidence possible that I am ov around cd 19-20. NO chance of him changing career though, he would most likely have to take a salary cut that would mean we'd have to move out of our lovely new house we moved into when DD was 5 weeks old... we may be slightly morgaged up to the hilt You have done amazingly well to talk about it with your DH. I think its a subject of great pride for men, esp as you're ttc, to 'provide' etc and making a change is very hard and teh thought alone scares me stupid

biscuits, i laughed and laughed at your post and you recording it for DH!!!!! But do feel very sorry for you in your pee-stick-endorsed very really pregnant status with all the exhaustion of early pregnancy and DS to run around after in such a state of sleep deprivation!

dreamfeeder · 04/08/2011 09:49

oh, and generic, i'll be confirming weekend of 20th too (maybe 21st). you may be slightly before me Smile of course it is a mere formality, you are Blinding Obviously and Nonchalently Preggers.

p.s. had to do this over 3 posts because i kept thinking DH wold come in and catch me on MN which would put him in such a temper a to mean Definitely No Morning nookie... lol

NinjaChipmunk · 04/08/2011 10:19

dream glad its a day of reprieve, hope you get that shag!
minesa well done you, many congratulations! And your story has made my morning.
have you are so tired because of your condition love, poor you, try to rest when you can.
biscuits that sounds like a nightmare, hope you manage to catch up on some sleep soon.
farfalla it sounds like a positive move forward and that can only be a good thing. fx for the weekend for you.
I'm at work today and its tipping down with rain. But we do have flapjacks and mini millionaire shortbread so thats ok. I've managed to get my assessment appointment thingy brought forward to 20 Aug which is great. I hope it doesn't get cancelled again! But I shall be upduffed by then so it won't matter. I think I may take up yoga or pilates again a couple of evenings a week to relax. Hopefully it will help get the general circulation of my body going which kick my other bits into touch. Failing that I shall bake and sew like a mad woman. Right, I need more tea....

dreamfeeder · 04/08/2011 10:40

yay, got dh to DTD. Crossing everything a rat got smacked...

have, sorry, forgot to say, you need to try and rest in your as yet unconfirmed pregnancy. is it 5 or 6 days now til you confirm?

NinjaChipmunk · 04/08/2011 13:04

very quiet here today, where are you all? off smacking rats?

jaggythistle · 04/08/2011 13:18

em. yes actually i was just then. Blush

DS is napping, not working today, rat smacking opportunities must be seized!

see charters anonymous thread, I'm just after grumping about having to drag DH away from his car. Grin

cd 14, egg could pop ANY MINUTE (but probably in a day or 2) so on an SWI mission. this rat will be smacked!

NinjaChipmunk · 04/08/2011 13:45
Grin
GenericDietCola · 04/08/2011 13:58

Biscuits hope you're having good hols despite the snoring.

Have definitely preggo tiredness. Confirmation soon - yay!

Minesa wow what a story! If it's any consolation, we were recently looking at photos with the in-laws via our tv and up popped a saucy honeymoon photo of me - Oh. My. God.

Farfalla your body is clever and will delay ov until the weekend when you're both more relaxed. Hope he chills out tomorrow night so you can have some fun together and make miniFarfalla

Dream you are doing some excellent rat smacking doesn't matter when we confirm really, just a formality as you rightly say

Ninja great news re your appointment but they are messing you about, poor thing. Hope everything can be sorted easily. Of course by then you will have got your ironic BFP so hey ho.

Jaggy you will be rewarded for your excellent rat smacking efforts.

Hope Maybe is having a nice hol too.

NinjaChipmunk · 04/08/2011 14:20

I was wondering where maybe had got to. I bet your in laws have never looked at you the same since eh generic? I would die of embarrassment if that ever happened to me. I'm not sure i would ever be able to see them again!

scarletfingernail · 04/08/2011 14:33

Grin loving the in-law stories. Thanks goodness I haven't got any of that kind to share.

Well impressed with jaggy and dream getting in a daytime shag. Excellent work.

Day 6 of the shagathon in our house and day 2 of peak shagtime showing on CBFM. Tonight will be the last opportunity for this month before the 2ww.

Gah I'm on pins wondering already. How am I going to wait 2 more weeks?

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 04/08/2011 14:48

Lots of inspiring shagathon stories preggos! The shagathon kicks off properly in the Scream household tomorrow, and then it'll be all systems go until at least Tuesday (depending on when the opks release us!) We'll be keeping up our every-other-day security shagging after the shagathon though.

Scarlet I feel your pain! Right at the start of the 2ww it seems completely impossible that you could ever survive waiting that long for an answer! I wish there was some way to know from the MOMENT egg meets sperm! The zygote should make a little beeping noise, like the microwave going off!
