That's it really. I'm CD 6, having red days, planning my BD-ing & wandering if anyone else is in the same boat as me...?

I didn't know there was a blood test to check ov.
Good luck with that. Needles aren't my favourite either but I guess it will be worth it to know for sure.
Yes, I have 3 already. Son (6) and 2 daughters (4 and 18mths). I'm struggling to convince my hubby to have another. I only wanted 2 but he wanted a 3rd. I gave in after 18mths of his nagging. Now the boot is on the other foot and I want to even up the numbers. I'm so broody, I feel obsessed.
How long have you been trying for no. 2?

Sorry haven't posted since last week whole house has been down with a nasty stomach bug, just glad to have it out of the way before Christmas.

Thanks for your kind thoughts re hernia. I think that i'm just going to leave it for now its more niggling at the moment rather than really painful. I'm lucky enough to have private health insurance through work so i don't have to go on a long list.

I'm on cd7 did my 1st test of my 2nd time using Persona gave me a red there was a v v faint 2nd line which i didn't get before, gave me another red today.

There seem to be a few new names to hello to you all .

I've only scanned quickly down the thread so i hope everyone is ok. Anyone getting close yet?

CD22 for me. 10 days till test time, if I can hold out that long. TBH I don't feel very optimistic this month even though we did the right things at the right time. Maybe that's because I have Christmas Champagne to get through! Better be careful till next week though I guess

Hope the hernia stays in the background Jag (great about Private health insurance, saves a lot of hassle!)

Hi Amandeep, ref your question about the surge/egg.

I believe I should have had the egg on days 12/13/14 ( I had an early morning pee & so when I tested I think I had used the concentrated stuff up). I had 2 faint lines on the stick on days 12/13. We BD on day 13 & I am pregnant (although calling it fertilised as I am still in denial). I understand the egg is released 12 -48 hours after the egg sign, but normally within 36 hours, so somehow we must have caught it with our day 13 efforts . Similar happened in June, but miscarriage in August. In June we BD upto twice a day - this time, thought we'd give the sperm time to recover & did it every other day.

TMI ? hope not - just trying to work out best dates !

Hi,

I'm on cd 21. I had egg sign on days 19 and 20. Am I still in with a chance today do you think? (If I can persuade my stubborn DH ).

There does seem to be a well travelled tummy bug on the loose. I'm waiting for my DS and DD1 to get it in time for the school nativity on Monday. Most of their class mates have had it.
It seems to be tummy bugs and chicken pox that strike at this time of year every year since I had my first.

I think everyones bodies are different - I've found that BDing on the day of ovo or after, is no good. But a few days before seems to get the jackpot.

Mojomummy, how many weeks are you now?

I didn't plan my other 3 like this, they just happened as soon as we tried. I guess I'm just getting stressed about it being the right time because my DH won't change his mind and I feel so determined (and obsessed) to get my way.

Hi mojomummy ! what's the best day to bd. I got the egg sign on CD20 & CD21. Do i need to check the lines on the sticks to see if they are faint or not cos i've not been doing that. I know when i had the egg sign there was one dark line & one was very faint. Please could you let me know what this means as still new to all of this????????

oooh I don't know what it means !! it's just a minefield ! I assume the lines are showing some sort of hormone has been detected. I'm assuming the lines come up around the time the egg shows on the screen. Well, they did for me - no egg, but lines on the stick.

Every test I have done has had one dark line and one faint line apart from on the day of the first egg when I had 2 dark lines. Very confusing. I'm also using a saliva monitor. This has shown that I will ovulate in the next 3-4 days from the same day as the first egg. As yet I have not had the definate pattern on the monitor that should show when you are ov'ing. Also still got clear mucus (sorry don't know the abbreviation on that one!). Not sure if these monitors help with stress levels !

I am CD12. I have one dark line and one faint line on the stick, and it feels like I should be ovulating around Day 12/13/14. No egg sign though....again.
Got to utilise DH before he goes on business trip on Monday.....

Can I join this thread properly now my reset Persona is finally in use after waiting quite a long time and then setting it wrong! CD3 for me and a month full of tests ahead of me! I think I may be ovulating over christmas itself which may be exciting!

Eldestgirl, if you BD over the weekend (last night ?!), you shoud be fine - sperm lasts a while, especially if he has strong swimmers .Good luck !

Oh yes, I made sure of that! And just to make sure (I don't know whether anyone else does this?) I stuck a pillow under my bum and did not get vertical until 7am.
Don't know about the swimmers though, he's on planes a lot.

hi girls hope you don't mind me dropping in, but i have been using persona for first time this month and i am on day17 with no egg sign as yet!!!! has anyone else had to wait a while for egg sign, normally 29 day cycle, any answers would be great!!

Hi Busty73,

Last month I had a 29 day cycle but wasn't using Persona then. This month I got the egg sign on days 19 and 20. So that would indicate a 34 or 35 day cycle. Have to wait until Christmas Eve to see!
So don't give up hope, there's still a chance to get the egg sign. Keep me posted. Good Luck.

Well i'm on cd11 & getting reds. I'm taking a leaf out of Mojomummys book & bd every other day except when i get egg sign when we will try to cover. (If DH has the stamina this month) I'm expecting egg on cd13/14 so we will see.

hi 3catstoo thanks for your reply my period due christmas day, typical!!! i have had 29 days for last 4 months so thought i should have had egg sign by now! that's prob why we keep missing each month picking wrong days, we to are trying every other night if i can get round hubby

I'm still getting used to the abbreviations too. At the top of the page there is a bit called useful stuff, a sub heading called acronym list is where you will find what you need to know. I sometimes forget and don't abbreviate.
