Anyone using Persona to Conceive this month ?

That's it really. I'm CD 6, having red days, planning my BD-ing & wandering if anyone else is in the same boat as me...?

My AF arrives between 9 and 13 days after ovulation (if I am counting correctly).
It will be interesting to see if your Persona machine behaves itself Normsnockers. It was quite temperamental last month wasn?t it?
Anyone feeling vaguely Christmassy yet?

hi girls day 19 for me and still no egg!!!! does it mean i am not ovulating or just hasn't picked up surge, i'm not sure?? i see some of you had egg on cd 20/21 so maybe tomorrow, anyone else had long wait, i'm geting low now, because i am so over weight maybe i'm infertile?

Hi Norms, I think you're being perfectly reasonble. The say if you're over 35/6 and have been trying for over six months you are entitled to some investigation. My GP (a woman) let me have a 21 day progestorone test one month to see if I'd ovulated. She said that if futher investigations are needed the more blood test results you have the quicker and easier it is to determine a problem, if there is one. Also, knowing that the situation is being investigated, sometimes relaxes you enough to let everything happen naturally! I would keep on at your gp to make sure you get evrything you're entitled too. I agree NS, not unreasonable at all. POst 35, I think it is sensible to get checked out quickly, as they can do more for you, the earlier it is. I will be off for a check up after Christmas if this cycle didn't work.

Hi hope everyone is well? Norms no you are not unreasonable. I was disheartened the first time I raised my concerns with my GP because she said you haven't had problems conceiving before - arggg! Put it off going back for 12 months. Went back and showed her my list of period lengths and she referred me straight away to the local hospital fertility clinic and I had a blood test at the GPs on CD21. Funny result though... "Ovulation expected" not sure what that means exactly!? I have an appointment the end of Jan. I'm CD5 today.

NN, I don't think you are being unreasonable and I think you did the right thing to push the doctor along. Some GPs do drag their heels a bit no matter what the situation is.
A friend of mine is 11 weeks pg. Her doc told her the earliest she could have her 12 week scan would be when she was actually 17 weeks meaning her 20 week scan would also be delayed. She is in her 40s and is concerned. The doc said to get it quicker go privately and pay £140. If it was me I'd be sending them the bill!

Well, persona has worked on it's third month, with a little help from some accupuncture, I got my BFP this morning!!! Still shaking. I'm sure it won't be long before it's all of us, so get BDing ladies

Cd16 for me got egg sign on 14/15 but as last month bd every other day up until day 12 then dh ran out of steam again (think we are trying to early will delay next month).

Had my works do last night so still a bit fragile. I haven't caught up on rest of the thread yet so i hope everyone else is ok.

CD20 for me. I hate this bit, and it's rubbish timing for Christmas drinks too. Still, had a glass of wine last night, it is the weekend after all... I am not very hopeful this month, given the incredibly bad timing of DH's business trip.

Help, I'm confused!
CD 30 today. As I got the egg sign on days 19 and 20 I was expecting a 34 day cycle. I had a strange bleed yesterday (cd29)which lasted just a few hours and now I am fine. Usually AF lasts at least a week and is heavy. Not sure what to do with Persona today. I can't really press the m as I have nothing today.
Can anyone advise me on this?
Also wondered if the m appears from CD 28 no matter what length of cycle you have?

does anyone know if you will definately not ovulate if there i no egg sign! i'm confused first month, and day 24 done all the tests and haven't had a sign,is there a chance ersona hasn't picked the surge up?? i'm too shy to phone persona for advice bit embrassed thati don't know

Hi busty73,
You can ovulate even though the ov sign does not come up. It may be that the test sticks did not pick up a surge at the times they asked you to test. Until the machine "remembers" your previous data, it will ask for tests on preset days and these days may not be significant for you.

Well I called the Persona helpline today and spoke to a very helpful lady. She told me not to press the m until I have a constant flow requiring full santary protection. So my odd days of trickles are not considered to be AF. Hopefully todays trickle will develop into the constant flow. I hate this one day on one day off chaos I'm having.
Does anyone else get this kind of run upto the final AF onset?

Hi all, just dropped in to see how you're getting on. It feels funny leaving for another thread, I keep expecting to come back at any minute. 3catstoo, I always get a day and a bit of light brown (sorry tmi) before AF starts, so maybe your bodies about to start doing that. It's such a shame that just when you get used to one pattern of behavour everything changes! Any chance you could be pg and this is a bit of implantation bleeding?

I thought that too, did a test yesterday even though I knew I couldn't be pg, negative result though. Last night AF arrived for certain!
My cycle really is messed up. First 34 days, then 29 days and now 31 days. For 10 months it was 29 days on the dot then suddenly went nuts.
Doesn't make it easy to predict when OV will be.

Hope your baterry lasts.
I would like a September baby. My eldest was born in September. He settled into school much better than my middle one who was born in June. He was 5 two weeks after starting school whereas she was only just 4. It does make a difference not just educationally but emotionally too. Having said that, if I had managed to get pg last month it would have been an August baby, which I still would have jumped at. A baby would just be great, no matter when it was due.
I hope you get your way, Christmas is such a nice time to conceive. Like you say, you don't have work to tire or stress you out over the holidays. Good Luck.
