That's it really. I'm CD 6, having red days, planning my BD-ing & wandering if anyone else is in the same boat as me...?

Just for fun is the best Norms. I sometimes think that TTC has taken over and I forget that it's supposed to be fun aswell!

CD14 for me, 3rd of my run of tests. Still no O sign, but again I thought I saw a faint line this morning, so fingers crossed (but not legs ) for the next few days.

Hope you all like my new Xmas name

JAG123 - Just thought I'd let you know mojomummy is away at the mo which is why she hasn't replied. Sure she'll reply when she's back!

JAG123 · 01/12/2005 18:49

Hello Ladies

Thanks Hellybelly

Well AF arrived this afternoon so Persona was pretty accurate. So it will be cd 1 for me tomorrow. I was diagnosed with a small hernia this week which is why i have been having the stitch likes pains in my side (not sure if i posted that on this thread or other one). I need to decide whether to pospone TTC to have op or wait till i really have to have it. Can't believe i've got to have another op.

Norms - Might still be worth trying tonight the egg still has to travel to its destination before being fertilized so you never know.

SnowballStrike - Like the name still can't believe its so close to Christmas.

Anyway Take Care All
J

Bad news about the Hernia Jag, would it make it much worse if you were to leave it for nine months? Would it be better to get rid of it first, or could you live with it till afterwards?

CD15 for me, still no O but definatly 2 faint lines this morning. So DH is on standby!

I think just before the egg comes up and right through till it goes is you best bet Norms. Sperm can live for 5 days, the egg only 24/36 hours so they all have to meet in the right place at the right time. That's why the stats for natural conception are only about 20% each month! Hopefully enough swimmers in the area when the egg arrives should do the trick.

Hope everyones doing well, anyone close to testing yet?

mojomummy · 02/12/2005 17:56

Hi all, just back from a midweek break in centerparcs...

I'm doing ok thanks - feeling a bit stressed though, as we took my mum to centerparcs so we didn't have the relaxing break I'd hoped for.

Found out on Monday I don't get a scan until I'm 10 weeks. Working hard on trying not to get stressed & keeping up with mumsnet !

Hi Guys - hope everyone is well - JAG ouch re hernia!? CD19 but no egg this month although I got faint lines on CD14/15 the Persona decided they weren't dark enough I guess - so red lights all the time! Had a bit of a pre-bleed this morning. My body really annoys me because it does this to me and I think it's an implantation bleed but it never is

We have been referred to a fertility clinic and have an appointment at the end of January - so fingers X'd

Crumbs Norm, I have just subjected mine to 2 flights in the hold!
Back from 2 weeks hols and got AF on day 30, bah humbug. Still I knew it was coming so wasn't too dejected.
Am now on CD7 and still have a green light after one test. I can see that the red light period is gradually getting shorter thank goodness. This is now my 4 month with Persona...
Congratulations to Mojomummy! Let's hope there are more of us soon...

Amandeep · 05/12/2005 07:57

eldestgirl · 05/12/2005 10:16

Amandeep,
According to the booklet, you should ovulate within the next one or two days after getting two days of egg signs. Do you have a long cycle?
HTH

Snowballstrike · 05/12/2005 14:20

CD 18 for me. Did my last test this morning and the egg sign has gone, although there's still a faint second line and the red light is still on, so might have one more go tonight Then it's the waiting game. I hate this bit. The two week when you don't if ever twinge means something or if you really should have that second glass of wine, even more difficult this time of year! I'm vowing to be sensible till I know for sure, then go mad over xmas if we haven't made it this month.

Any news anyone? Shanks, has af arrived or are you testing soon?

3catstoo · 05/12/2005 18:10

Hi, Sorry to hop in on your thread here but I started using Persona this month too. Not sure what to expect from it. Am on CD 16. Had heaps of red days so far. No egg sign yet though. Can those sticks detect ovulation?
Call me obsessed but I am also using a saliva monitor. I haven't had any joy from that either. Not sure if I am ovulating.
It's reasuring to know of others using Persona too.

Snowballstrike · 05/12/2005 18:21

Hi 3catstoo, Persona does detect Ov, or at least the hormone surge that goes along with it. The sticks are the same as Ov predictor kits. Persona just reads the results and adds them to it's computer to help you get a grip on your cycle. I usually ov quite late, so I ran out of sticks before I'd oved last month, but I had some accupucture this month and I got the O sign on CD16. If this is your first cycle you should have enough sticks to detect ov, even if it's late in your cycle.

3catstoo · 05/12/2005 20:49

Thanks. I wasn't sure if they were the same as the other Ov tests. My cycle has been fluctuating between 29 and 35 days in the past 4 months, so I may well have the same problem as you if it is 35 next month. I'm not actively TTC, still have to persuade DH to have number 4. I thought I would get prepared and try to figure out my cycle on the off chance! So if that egg sign does appear I will be turning on the persuasive charms. Fingers crossed that the egg does appear.

shanks313 · 05/12/2005 23:49

Hi,

I started getting the flashing m yesterday on day 26,still getting green lights.Im guessing the flashing m meant my AF was due to start then.

I will probably wait till day 35 till I wonder if something is up and test.
I know last time I fell pregnant and miscarried, the pregnancy test didnt show positive till AF was 2 weeks late.

Amandeep · 06/12/2005 08:00

Ladies ...just a quick question. I have had an egg sign for the last two days and there is only one line on the stick. Is this normal as im not sure - it's my first month with Persona. Also what's the best time to bd for a boy - day 1 of the egg sign for day 2. Any comments or suggests to conceive a BOY are welcome.

3catstoo · 06/12/2005 09:52

Hi Amandeep, I would also like to know the answer to that question. I know it needs to be on the day you ov and not before but I'm not sure how Persona works and how to interpret the egg sign. I stand more chance of convincing DH if I know when to produce a boy(in theory, anyway).
Good Luck in your attempts.

Amandeep · 06/12/2005 13:56

Hi 3catstoo..Some books say that wait 12 hours after the surge is detected, but some say wait 36 hours. WHICH ONE IS RIGHT? Has anyone tried this thoery & it worked????????

Hi again,
All a bit confusing really isn't it.

Well I got my first egg sign this morning. Now I just have to convince DH to give in!!
How many days does the egg sign stay for? Does it depend on the individual?

Thanks Normsnockers.
Do you already have children or are you trying for your first?
