That's it really. I'm CD 6, having red days, planning my BD-ing & wandering if anyone else is in the same boat as me...?

Hi Sorry have just caught up.

3Cats I'm glad that your consultant is happy for you to go ahead. I really hope that your DH comes around.

I'm just waiting for AF now so i can get these blood tests started.

Take Care

J

3catstoo · 04/08/2006 09:32

Hi Jag,

Is AF due soon then? Hope you don't have too long to wait.

On the other hand maybe you won't need those blood tests after all.

DH is still not talking much about babies.
Although he has recently found out that he is changing jobs within the company. It means a longer journey, 2 hours each way. So it looks like a house move is on the cards within the next 10 months! Not good timing really.
His latest line is that if I'm pg he will have to do all the moving on his own.
I said that if we get our skates on we could have a baby rather than a bump therefore I would be able to carry things. (who am I kidding - but I'll say anything!!!!)

Basically I either have a baby asap and then have the treatment recommended by the Gyny, which means no more children. Or I have the treatment now, meaning no number 4 ever. Or I live with the pain between periods, during intercourse and the spotting thing and hope DH gives in sooner rather than later.
If it was just the spotting I could deal with it but the pain I get when I don't even have AF is crippling. It's mainly at night but I do get it in the day most months too. It makes me double up in pain.
Painful intercourse is not great either. Again it's not everytime but I never know when to expect it. At 31 I guess I have a while to go before I could live with that. If I was 50 or 60 something then maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
Basically my cervix is quite low down so DH is hitting it during the act (sorry if TMI). That's how I described it to the Gyny and now the picture has become clear.

Watch this space.

Good luck with your tests.

Hi All

Sorry i don't seem to have much time to post lately.

3Cats I'm sorry that you are in pain. I really hope that your DH comes round soon for you. Will pregnancy affect your problem?

AF arrived this morn, but having a strange one again. Its really light as if its the last day of af not the 1st. Need to go for the bloods tomorrow but not sure if i will be finished. It also works out that my cd20 is on a Sat so i have to have them done on cd19 instead. I'm not sure how all this will affect the outcome. Next appointment Oct 5th although i think i will have to change it as i'm not sure DH can make it.
Oh well i suppose it will work itself out.

Natty - Have you got your prescription yet?
Could i just ask did you just have your bloods done on the one cycle or did you have to have them repeated to confirm that no ov wasn't just a one off?

Leawheel - I hope that your appointment went ok.

Take Care all

J

Natty1806 · 07/08/2006 19:41

Hi Jag

Rang the clinic today to see if i have to go to my doctors for the prescription or if they were meant to give it me, the lady checked my file and a letter has gone out today to my gp and a copy is being sent to me and my gp will give it me.

I only had my bloods done once and that was back in feb/mar so things may well have changed by now but they have not tested me again. i had my 3 day blood test on day 5 and the 21 day one on 53 as my period are all over the place it was very hard to do them. Which is why i think my progestone was only level 1. So really they should have been re done but from charting i can see that i do not ovualte.

Only about another 4 weeks to go and i can start clomid. Yippeeeeee just hope it works.

Shame you might have to move your appointment hopefull they can fit you in sooner rather than later.

3catstoo · 09/08/2006 15:00

Hi,

Af arrived this morning after 3 days of on and off spotting.

I don't know whether to buy some more testinf sticks for my Persona just in case DH has a change of heart. They probably won't arrive in time anyway.
Maybe I'll just get some OPKs to use this month.

Hope all is well with everyone else.

3catstoo · 09/08/2006 15:01

Poor typing.

JAG123 · 16/08/2006 19:06

Just thought i would pop on to say hi. I'm on cd 10 & still doing Persona. I've bought some pre seed to try as well. Got a feeling that because this is the month that i'm having bloods tested that i won't get the egg sign.

3cats did you get some opks to try & has your DH come around anymore.

Natty - Did you get your clomid & when do you start taking it?

Hopefully this month this will be a good month for all of us.

Take Care
J

Natty1806 · 17/08/2006 07:34

Hi Jag

Got doctors tomorrow to get the clomid. On CD23 so just waiting for AF to arrive.

Natty1806 · 17/08/2006 07:35

Oh yeah - fingers crossed you get an egg sign and you blood test goes well.

3catstoo · 17/08/2006 18:20

Hi there,

CD 9 for me.
Haven't got the OPKs yet. Away for a few days from tomorrow so I need to get them in the morning really. Not sure whether to expect Ov when I'm away. Bit awkward really.
DH still not saying much. He's now saying that we may move next year and it wouldn't be good to be pg at same time as I would be no help. He forgets that I was pg with DS when we moved here and that I did all the packing, unpacking and decorating. I usually decorate when I'm 8-9 months pg. Must be that nesting instinct.

Hope you get that egg sign Jag. When are the blood tests?
What does pre seed do? (Is that a silly question?)

Good luck with the clomid Natty.

Here's hoping we all get good news soon.

Take care

Hi

3Cats - Hope you enjoy your time away. Sounds like your DH is trying to find excuses. You'll just have to wear him down .
Got my cd20 bloods next Friday (although it will actually be cd19)
Pre seed is 'suppose' to be a sperm friendly lubricant that helps mimic ewcm. I haven't had any ewcm for about 6 months (sorry if TMI ). Although would you believe got some today. Just thought it was worth a try.

Natty - Good Luck with the Clomid. Do you have to wait for your AF before you can start it?

J

Natty1806 · 17/08/2006 20:50

You DH is hard nut to crack isn't he 3catstoo.

Yeah have to wait for AF to arrive before i can take clomid as i take it CD2 - CD6.

BBWBabeLisa · 18/08/2006 21:26

Hi everyone
Am fairly new to this thread. I used Persona to conceive my DD last year (she's 7 months now). We'd been ttc for almost 18mths when we bought a Persona and discovered I ovulate late (about day 19-20) so had been trying at wrong time all along. 2nd Persona month we conceived! I have an appt at the diabetic pre-conception clinic (I have type 2 diabetes due to my weight) on Wednesday to get back onto insulin in preparation for ttc number 2, so will be using Persona again and hoping for the same fab results.
All the best to everyone else ttc.
Lisa x

3catstoo · 24/08/2006 11:29

Hi again,

Glad to be home.

Good Luck tomorrow Jag.

Yes my DH is a tough nut to crack. BUT, this is quite bizarre, he did have a moment of weakness whilst we were away (maybe TMI) and due to the children being awake in the next room decided to not use protection. Well who was I to argue !!!!
He had no idea what cycle day I was on and to be honest I wasn't really thinking of that at the time. When I got home I checked my diary and it had been CD14. Now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it was good timing. My cycle has been between 22 and 32 days over the past couple of months so there'e no telling when Ov would be. I hadn't already had EWCM though and I got ferns on the saliva monitor on CD17 and CD18 (today).
It would be a miracle if it happened but I'm sure you will understand my excitement.
DH still says he really does not want another. If that's the case he really should not have taken a chance.
Whilst we were away we visited my SIL who had her baby a few days before we got there. DH wanted to hold Baby before me and announced that he wanted to make the most of it as he would not be holding another newborn again !
So very confused about how he really feels.

Anyway I'm sure I'll be on here again in a couple of weeks telling you how silly I had been to even think these things.

Unfortunately I didn't get around to buying the OPK's or Persona sticks. I thought I might get them at the airport but after queuing for 3 hours to get through security we had to dash to the departure lounge and board straight away.
I won't be flying for a while. It was awful. I couldn't even take my lipsal with me, I had to bin it en route. On the way back it was very relaxed so I think it's just leaving the UK (and USA) that's the worst bit.

Hope you are all OK.
Welcome to the newcomers. Good Luck with Persona, I hope it works as quickly as it did for you last time.

JAG123 · 24/08/2006 16:55

Hi 3Cats

Hope you had a nice Holiday. I've got my fingers crossed for you. It would be great if you did get a BFP. Perhaps your DH is thinking with his head & not his heart & deep down really would quite like another. If he was really dead against it surely he wouldn't even risk it.

Hopefully they will be able to get more blood out of me than they managed on my cd2 test.
I did get my egg sign on cd12/13 & we managed to bd a couple of times so you never know.

Natty did your AF arrive yet so you can start the clomid?

Welcome to Bbwbabelisa Hope Persona works quickly again for you. Did your appointment go ok?

Take Care
J

Natty1806 · 24/08/2006 18:40

Fingers crossed for you ladies, no AF yet so am unable to take clomid yet, 12 more days and i am going back to see gp to get the drug that makes you have a period, if he does not give it me i may have to cry and refuse to leave.

3catstoo · 25/08/2006 12:59

What day are you on now Natty?

Have you had your appt yet Jag? Hope it went well.

I don't feel great today. I had a cold when we flew back and it really effected my head and ears. I felt sick yesterday too so may have a bug. Don't feel sick today but still have the migraine type head pain and a painful tummy.

My neighbours have had a fluey sickness bug too so it's probably that.

Take care

xxxx

Natty1806 · 25/08/2006 17:29

Sorry to hear your feeling ill.

CD31 for me today.

JAG123 · 27/08/2006 19:48

Hi

3Cats Sorry you haven't been feeling too good. Hope you get better soon.

Natty - Hope your AF arrives soon so you can get started. This ttc larks seems to be about waiting all of the time doesn't it. It can be so frustrating.

I'm going through the imagining all sorts of symptons stage at the moment. A sore boob, nausea and now i've got a rash on the lower part of my cheek. I've had them for a few days now but i know its too early to be experiencing pg signs. I hate the 2ww. 3Cats i've just done my blood tests, dh has got his sperm test on 15th Sept & then we go back for the results on 5th Oct. More waiting.

J

Natty1806 · 28/08/2006 10:16

i agree its all about waiting.

Feeling better 3cats?

3catstoo · 29/08/2006 11:43

Jag, lets hope your symptoms are not imaginery.

Natty, has AF arrived yet?

Feeling a bit better today but had a rotten cold over the weekend. Still had to go in search of a new place to live though. DH and I just can't decide. With schools in the equation it's so hard.
Staying put is not an option.

Take care

Natty1806 · 29/08/2006 12:36

Where you moving to? I love looking at houses but it is so stressful.

CD35 for me and no sign of AF so have made an appoinment at the doctors for next Tuesday to hopefully get the drug that will make you bleed and then i can start taking clomid.

Glad your feeling a bit better there is a lot going round at the moment.

BBWBabeLisa · 29/08/2006 17:51

Good luck with the drugs Natty, and fingers crossed and lots of baby dust for you Jag.

My appointment went OK. They decided not to put me straight onto the insulin but to take me off my tablets and keep close eye on my sugars (testing at least 6 times per day) for 2 weeks. I've to go for blood tests this Friday, then back to the clinic next Wednesday. My sugars haven't been too bad so hopefully I'll get by with just a little insulin pre-conception, and should be able to start trying from this next cycle (CD 27 today, got the OV symbol days 19 & 20 so green light now).
We haven't BD'd (at all - since well before DD was born 8 mths ago!) partially coz we had been so severely warned about making sure I didn't become pregnant again while my sugars were high. Apparently the state of your blood sugar at the moment of conception is the most crucial part of a diabetic pregnancy, so by the time you find out your preg it's too late to try and prevent any birth defects it could cause. I didn't know that last time and didn't see specialists til I was almost 6 wks preg last time. Thankfully DD came out perfect, but I was terrified thru the whole preg and anxious not to repeat that. Got to admit I'm a wee bit anxious about getting back on the horse so to speak after so long.

JAG123 · 29/08/2006 19:25

Hi

Glad you are feeling a bit better 3Cats. Hope you get the housing situation sorted soon. It can be so stressful moving can't it.

Natty - Do you usually have long cycles?

Bbwbabelisa - Glad your appointment went well. Sounds complicated. Hope it all works out ok for you.

Think my symptoms were def imaginary as they seem to have disappeared now. Except for this horrific rash. My whole face is completely covered & its burning & itching like mad. Been to Docs he said it looks like an allergic reaction. Don't know what to though haven't used anything different.

What a right bunch we are.

Take Care

J

Natty1806 · 30/08/2006 07:28
