Thanks guys! Wasn't really sure what it was all about. I've given up now but ironically, a few hrs after posting that message I went to the loo and found a massive amount of (TMI warning) EWCM when I wiped but it was literally just that bit and DP and I have been so busy we haven't swi for a few days so I'm just hoping that some little guys held on in there. The start of this cycle started so well too :( It was still a lot less EWCM than normal, I usually get a few days worth, not just one little bit so gawd knows what is going on :/ Ahh well, here's to next month!

sprinkles77 · 07/08/2011 07:45

2nd cycle this time with CBFM, had 5 high days and now a peak today! Reckon there is now no point using any more sticks this cycle. What does any one else think? Also today is CD 20, and usually 30-31 day cycle, so surely this means a shorter than usual luteal phase. Last month I got a peak on day 16 and 30 day cycle. But I did have a little dose of food poisoning around days 10-12 this month, so maybe that delayed things? Have been SWI every 2nd day, and daily since I had the highs, so here's fx, again, at the start of a 2ww!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 07/08/2011 14:21

Sprinkles - yep, no point using more sticks, if you wait til after the testing window it will still give you a peak tomorrow. Keep SWI for the next couple of days though! When I ovulate later in the cycle I have AF later too, so you may find that this is the case for you this month, knowing when you ov'd certainly helps work out why the cycle length changes.

sprinkles77 · 07/08/2011 17:50

Thanks sbc, as I suspected. How's theo? How old is he? What sort of colt is he (colour, breeding) and what will you do with him? I have visions of him being sort of piebald grey and white, like my old cat of the same name.

Loup23 · 07/08/2011 20:34

On month 7 and for the second month in a row no peak.... I know CBFM sometimes takes a while to pick up peaks but this shouldn't be happening in months 6 and 7 right?! Started acupuncture at the beginning of month 6, does anyone know if that could make a difference... am tempted to call the hotline tomorrow.... Angry

Loup23 · 07/08/2011 20:35

sorry not to namecheck just had to log on and rant at another month gone - hope everyone is well and enjoying weekends, and hopefully enjoying lots of SWI! x

boba82 · 08/08/2011 10:05

Loup I had acupuncture to try and regulate my cycles for about 5 months. I stopped as it wasn't working for me and I read in my PCOS book that if it hasn't worked after 3 months then it is unlikely to and at £38 per session I couldn't really justify it. However it was very relaxing and stress busting and also cleared up a sinus problem I'd had for 5 years after first treatment so I'd defo say it's worth a go!

Thanks boba spoke to soon I got a smiley face on an opk today cd 21 so was just being impatient! Lots of swi tonight and tomos Grin

When are u due boba?

How is everyone else getting on? X

Loup23 · 09/08/2011 10:03

But still high rather than peak on cbfm today Angry, lots of swi and keeping everything crossed..., anyone else on their 2 ww? Where's Tilly these days? X

farfallarocks · 09/08/2011 12:11

loup I have a feeling my clearblue is a bit 'late' in detecting the peak, sounds like the same could be happening with you?
I often get a :) 2 days before the peak on CBFM and all the other signs such as EWCM are well before the peak. When I got my BFP we had DTD on the highs not the peaks so maybe as long as you are doing that you are covered!

Loup23 · 09/08/2011 13:10

thanks far, the acupunturist also said that often OPKs detect the surge too late so maybe that's what's happened this month... I will carry on feeding the cbfm sticks (think I am solely keeping cbfm in business!) and DTD relentlessly!

How are you getting on? Have you had AF yet?

farfallarocks · 09/08/2011 13:27

Yes sadly, although at least cycles seem to be back to normal! On day 17 today, had my peak on 15 but DH too stressed to do the dead at all this week so I know I am out this month. At least I shall have a stress free 2WW!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 09/08/2011 15:21

Hi all
Am feeling too stressed this month to worry about TTC on top of it, but who knows maybe not thinking about it too much will help!

Sprinkles - Theo is nearly 3 weeks now, getting quite big already, but he was a big foal to start with! He is bay (at the moment, think he may change as not dark on his legs yet), he is a dash of several breeds - but all well planned! He is 3/8 TB, 1/8 ID, 1/4 Oldenburg, 1/4 Morgan! Has the movement and confirmation of his grandad - the oldenburg, so hopefully will be the event horse I'm hoping for!

boba82 · 09/08/2011 17:05

That's good Loup get SWI!!! Wink

Due 4 weeks on Friday, finish work this Fri thank God!

FX for your SWI. x

Loup23 · 09/08/2011 17:31

Wow 4 weeks boba how exciting will check in on the grad site to hear the details! I can't remember (sorry) do you know if it's a boy or girl?

Just spoke to DH (or not so D at the moment) he has been out with clients all afternoon and can't find his keys to get home Angry there's SWI out the window tonight.... unless I turn a blind eye to his staggering and beer breath Hmm

raspberrytipple · 09/08/2011 18:58

ahhhhhhh I'm so angry. My hairdresser left a message on my phone last night to say that she was going on holiday WTF????!!! so couldn't do my wedding hair!!! have spent all day just trying to find someone now. I rang her this evening and although she was apologetic it just doesn't wash. apparently her husband had booked her a surprise holiday - does he not know what she does for a living??!!! It just doesn't fit right. Anyway, I had a go at her and said I wanted my deposit back, she said I technically owe her money because she has done a consultation, a trial and trimmed my hair (which I went expecting to pay for but she didn't want payment!!). Bitch. I ended up putting the phone down on her. DP then rang and left a message on her phone to say he would go round to her house tonight to collect the deposit. Anyway, I then calmed down so closed it off by sending a shitty text saying how unprofessional she is blah blah blah and that I wouldn't be in touch again but would be removing my recommendations of her that I made to others. So fucking angry. You just don't do that to someone two weeks before their wedding. Bitch. Bitch. Bitch. Thought about going to small claims just on principal that she has massively taken the piss but doubt it would get anywhere and would cost more than £25 I paid for the deposit. No wonder I can't get pregnant, Im so bloody stressed all the time!

sprinkles77 · 09/08/2011 19:49

sbc, theo sounds like a very well bred boy not to mention a serious long term project! Is the mare yours too?

raspberry, I'd be livid too. The hairdresser has got a major nerve doing anything other than returning your deposit. I'm sure you'll find someone new. We had a couple of last minute wedding disasters, including the band pulling out the week before, and we ended up with a better band than we'd originally booked... You might have to just write off the deposit and put it down to experience, if she is likely to be agressive, or has a partner that is, I personally would not want to take the risk of sending DH round there, however much deposit I was owed. I'm sure once all this wedding planning is over you'll feel a bit less stressed out.

Sometimes I think the CBFM is a bit dodgy. This month I didn't POAS after I got a peak, but turned the machine on during the testing window the following day. it still showed a peak. So basically it is just programmed to do this. Why waste a stick? £13ish for 20, 65p each, not a cheap habit!

raspberrytipple · 09/08/2011 20:04

My thoughts exactly sprinkles, I'm done with it now and it's not worth getting nasty about. They only know where my parents house is though so feel a little bad about that but my dad will soon sort anyone out that turns up, he's not one to get on the wrong side of :)

I have had a couple of weird months with my CBFM as well, DP wants me to stop using it cos it's stressing me out. I think I need to chill out. Honeymoon should do it!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 09/08/2011 20:13

raspberry, I know how you feel, I got married mid June, my last hair appt, was a stand in as my normal hairdresser had broken her ankle. Ranting is good!

I am sure you'll find an alternative - does wedding insurance cover such things?
CBFM is programmed to give the 2nd peak day, regardless of readings, however there is always the possibility that it is picking up the end of the surge, so the peaks being a day or two late. Best to cover the high days on the way there.

sprinkles - yes, mare is my baby - I've had her 11 years - survived the first marriage and divorce, I will never be selling her, as she has been so good to me, I wanted to have a baby from her to carry on with, unfortunately he is a boy so unlikely to carry on the line, unless I fold and put her in foal again! I have another little TB ex racer that I do a bit of low level eventing and general RC stuff with too - they keep me poor, but mostly happy!
x

Loup23 · 10/08/2011 08:41

raspberrywhat a witch Angry I'm sure you'll find a better alternative and have an amazing day all the same. The cbfm is stressing me out I think, peak cd 23 today despite pos opks two days ago.... Hope honeymoon produces bfp where are u off to?

boba82 · 10/08/2011 11:46

What a total cow raspberry! I hope you get something sorted. x

raspberry, there could just be magical powers associated with honeymoons... we got pg with DS on honeymoon: hope its the same for you!

raspberrytipple · 10/08/2011 20:27

Thanks for the sympathy guys :) I have now had full on rows with the hairdresser and numerous grovelling apolOgies but is done now. Have spoken to a lot of unavailable hairdressers I've the last few hrs and they have all been appauled so makes me feel a bit better an mum has managed to get me someone so panic over. Sooo hoping we have a honeymoon baby :) that would just be so perfect :)

raspberrytipple · 10/08/2011 20:28

Sorry for the horrific typos - typing on my iPhone!

Loup23 · 11/08/2011 11:43

Glad to hear you've found someone raspberry, when's the big day? Hope you have a fabulous time!

Finally got a temp rise so am assuming I ovulated some time yesterday... making me 1dpo, let the obsessive symptom spotting begin Blush
