pecka you are still in with a chance!! harrased said the same thing! You know what they say about things coming in 3's!
Well the "deed was done" and it was the most un romantic shag we have ever had! He finally gave in to my nagging when DD went off to the cinema and Tom and Jerry were babysitting DS. Bless 'im.
It's very difficult to suss out the EWCM situation with all the love juice floating around but I reckon I felt myself ovulate a couple of hours ago. So fingers crossed!! What with that and the huge moon that's blazing tonight who knows......
I am having a busy weekend of village duties, we are hand delivering surveys to overthrow the Parish council see what the villagers would like to change, it's all good fun.
xxxx

wombatinwaiting · 20/03/2011 04:45

Morning all!

Nice one on DTD worm and hey, who needs romance when you're ovulating?! Just kidding - here's to your DH's swimmers and your egg getting very friendly together this month. Now what on earth has the parish council done to get you so militant excited?

Any sign of ov for you yet yellow? V funny re: grays anatomy - would have roared with laughter at that one. Do you think you could get a voice recording of your DH posted on here so we could all swoon over his accent?! (or perhaps that's just me with a thing for French accents Blush )

please keep us posted pecka and hope you are having a fab time with the girls still.

emma - best of luck to you with your SWI.

Waves to mana, nurse, sparkly, welliedownunder and all

Ha Wombat, it's not so much what they have done as what they havn't.........

yellowtomato · 20/03/2011 09:46

So worm you're organising the revolution? Sounds exciting....Glad you managed to get down to business, fingers crossed.

wombat no I don't think i've ov'd still as temperature is still low. So annoying, I'm sure I need topping up but with DP in Auckland it's not happening for me this month I reckon. Boo hoo.....

Right, off to get ready for my Pilates class.

Hope you haven't got too much of a headache today pecka have you POASed yet? come on, get on with it!

wombatinwaiting · 20/03/2011 10:07

You are doing v well with all your fitness and classes right now yellow - are you seeing the results you want? Still a chance for DP's swimmers to hang around - I've heard varying reports of them lasting 3 days up to 5 days.....

So what haven't they done worm? - it's like the Archers this!

OP posts:
Wormshuffler · 20/03/2011 13:50

It's not very exciting really it isn't! and I am not organising the revolution, just doing the donkeywork surveys. There is no car parking in the village so if you use the shops you pretty much have to dump the car on a corner. Also the school run situation makes smoke come out of my ears every morning, I have pretty much a permanent scowl on my face Angry at the lazy bastards people who bring their land rovers cars and drive their little darlings right to the gate then do a 6 point turn in the road which is only one car width wide, mounting the curb so they can go home to be master of all they survey, whilst I walk there and back every day and have to take our lives in my hands. Then go to work!!!! Rant rant rant. Grin

yellow I reckon sperm must last ages as I swear with my DC's we only did it once or twice in the month and I didn't look into where I was in my cycle in those days. I was a young 'un then tho.....
Happy rest of your sunday girls xxx

wombatinwaiting · 20/03/2011 17:25

Am impressed you are taking matters into your own hands worm - the world needs more people like you. Must be v annoying with all those rangerover types....

On the subject of sperm, was it you or harassed's DH who said they had "demon semen" - still makes me chuckle!

where are you pecka? - we need news!

(oops - I think I'm doing my stalking thing again.... sorry..... Blush )

OP posts:
harassedinherpants · 20/03/2011 19:02

Pecka any news?? Hope you've had a fab weekend! I thought I was out too. Bfn on cd28, went to bed in hormonal tears on cd30 with crampy tummy.... then bfp the next morning. Tests are crap tbh!

Worm impressed that you're doing something about what you dislike! I hate it when people moan, but won't help to change things. I know there's only so much that can be done, but still.

Yellow fingers x'd dh has super long lasting swimmers Grin.

Wombat not sure if it was me, but dh does now think he has super strength swimmers....Hmm

Sparkly I was picking peas out of mixed veg this month thanks to you...maybe that's the trick?? Wink

Waves to wellie, mana, nurse, emma and lurkers!

I'm shattered. Feels like it's engulfed me today and I just want to sleeeeeep. Didn't feel like this before, taking it as a good sign. Not so good though when you have tonnes to do, moving in 3 months max, loft to sort, house to tart up plus normal stuff Hmm. Chocolate is helping....

Wormshuffler · 20/03/2011 20:05

Yes it is my DH who claims to have "demon semean". I reckon he still does, it's my eggs that are getting old and decrepid....

pecka33 · 20/03/2011 23:17

well ladies im back!!!
Well what a weekend, started off really well, didnt end too good, the girls had a huge bust up and ended up in a 2 hour train journey home with none of us speaking!! Not good....
Then get home to dh, who may i add is a star, he,d done all the house work, cooked tea and sorted the spare room ready for my sisters visit this weekend!! Any how im rambeling.
Poas and got a negative??? 4 days late on my normal 28 day cycle, 2 if were now saying in 30 days as i was last month.... Go figure!!!
So by all accounts i ov,d on day 19 or 20?? How strange!! My cycle is offically fucked up!!!
So myself and dh decided to have a little makeup sex and i came on straight after, go figure!!
This weeks not going to be a great week for me, af,due date, and my little baby cousins 12 week scan on my would be due date!!! Life is a bitch.....

Sorry its a me me me message, just wanted to pop in with an update, will catch up tomorrow fully. Xx

yellowtomato · 21/03/2011 07:36

Well I think I may have ov'd yesterday, bit of a temp rise today, guess I'll know for sure tomorrow. I was totally planning a lie in this am cos dp is away but am wide awake at 7am, what is that all about?

pecka really sorry to hear that your weekend ended that way. Make up sex sounds like a step in the right direction but boo hiss to af. It sounds like you have a tough week coming up, am sending a lot of hugs your way.

harassed I hope that not eating peas isn't what did it, I love them so much!

wombat I have lost a little weight but not yet back to where I was. I just love eating too much!

Right am off to the gym!

wombatinwaiting · 21/03/2011 08:12

Sorry to hear re: af pecka - thinking of you lots right now and sending hugs. What a star your DH is - I do hope that having your sis in town will help you. Shame about the end to your girls weekend - is it likely to blow over quickly?

Good news re: the hopeful ov yellow - bummer re: the lie-in - I find that always happens when I have one planned. Talking of sleep, me and DH have both been wide awake from 3-4 the last 2 nights and consequently feeling soooooo tired. Doing a yoga class tonight so I hope that will help.

Don't overdo it harassed - precious cargo on board!

OP posts:
harassedinherpants · 21/03/2011 08:52

((()))'s to Pecka. Sounds like a stressful end to a good weekend, and a tough week coming up. Look after yourself. Your dh sounds lovely Grin.

Yellow I need to lose weight too. Too much comfort eating after mmc I think, and wasn't exactly a size 8 to start with Wink.

wombat how you feeling?

So...... dh asked me if I'm going running tonight. That would just be daft right?? I figure if I'd been doing it for a month then ok, but it's new exercise isn't it, so not a good idea right?

In work until 3 then seeing my kinesiologist later just to get all my levels checked. She said she'll see me for a couple of mins every couple of days of necessary Grin.

yellowtomato · 21/03/2011 10:18

wombat so annoying to wake up in the night, I wonder what's causing it? Maybe it is the baby excitement, I was a bit like that when I first was pg. Are you planning on having early scans? And make sure you tell your yoga teacher...i was a bit shy to tell my pilates teacher but it is important even at such an early stage.

harassed I did a lot of comfort eating after the mmc too....easy to put weight on, much harder to lose it! re exercise I think the advice is that you can maintain your fitness levels but shouldn't try to increase them. So you can carry on with whatever you are doing but shouldn't try to do anything new.

How was the weekend sparkly plenty of SWI action?

How is everyone's Monday going?

wombatinwaiting · 21/03/2011 10:51

oooh yes sparkly - how was the romantic cottage - did you slip on any EWCM?! Grin Hope you and DH had a great time.

Feeling ok thanks harassed other than tired due to middle of the night wake ups. Spoke to my ob/gyn yesterday and she has prescribed me progesterone supplements and 75mg asprin daily - I know there is some debate over the use of asprin, but I am going to go with her recommendation - it will make me feel as if I am doing everything possible to keep this one.... I started off by saying to the pharmacist that I only wanted 1 month's supply even though prescrip was for 3 months and then changed my mind and said to myself not to be so doom and gloom!

harassed - I would recommend you continue with the running, perhaps intersperse it with walking if you feel you're getting too hot or breathless. They can't emphasise enough the importance of exercise during pg. yellow's advice is v good too. Do you have a heart-rate monitor you can use?

yellow - I think the insomnia is all sorts - waking up for a wee doesn't help and then the mind starts racing - work, Libya Confused, scans and all sorts, oh and vivid dreams too..... I have booked in for a scan at what should be just over 8 weeks as I thought any earlier than that there is a chance that we won't see a heartbeat and give me more cause for concern. Feeling quite pleased with my positive attitude so far Smile.

Good point re: telling the yoga teacher - I was going to leave it until next week but I will do it tonight.

Waves to all.

OP posts:
Wormshuffler · 21/03/2011 17:17

Sorry about the AF pecka I had a really good feeling for you too. Hope my upcoming girly weekend doesn't end up the same as yours!

Ah the vivid dreams that the hormones give you and mind racing, all very good symptoms wombat keep up that positivity, it's going to be fine this time x

harassed there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to carry on running, the only problem I found was that my boobs absolutely killed!!

I spent last night in tears after finding a really sad thread on here yesterday. Then went up and cuddled my kids for ages as I couldn't sleep bless them I think they thought I had gone mad.

Hope everyone is ok

Wormshuffler · 21/03/2011 17:21

Sorry I forgot you yellow nice work at the gym? I really need to start doing a bit more, I used to run twice a week but while we were trying before the MC the first month I stopped running was the one where I fell PG so it's got me paranoid. Which I know is absolutely stupid and there is no evidence to back it up . I seem to have got into a stupid habit of not running during the 2ww. I think I need a fish slap......

wombatinwaiting · 21/03/2011 18:08

worm - I have a week old kipper here heading towards your head right now! However, with your stat of falling PG when you weren't running, I can completely understand that- it's amazing how these jinx pixies keep turning up.....

yellowtomato · 21/03/2011 19:47

I think going to the gym helps me feel better physically but also mentally. Something about feeling like I'm taking care of myself.

worm I totally understand the reasoning behind it, I tend not to run during the 2ww either but use the cross trainer and bike instead. I don't think it does make a difference unless you are putting a lot of strain on your body like a professional athlete. Having said that people who have IVF are recommended to rest and not run etc so I just kind of think whilst you can get pg and run, it might not help. I know i'm not being v helpful but that's the way my thinking goes. Plus a book I read about boosting fertility recommended not to run during the 2ww and I take advice from all sides although I refuse to stop eating peas!

I had a lovely afternoon tea in a hotel this afternoon so that was a bit of a sugar/caffeine fest which prob isn't that useful and I'm feeling quite wired now. Do you think a glass of Wine will help to calm me down?

pecka my lovely, how are you doing? Have been thinking of you.

yellowtomato · 21/03/2011 19:49

hey nurse sorry x-posts

hurrah for the scan, so very pleased for you, so exciting to get to that milestone. we hear from manama and she's doing fine, not heard from kitkey for a while.

now i've checked my temps not sure if it was a significant rise, was higher than the last week but not really high enough. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. But problem is now I'm stressing about temping I keep waking up v early. So annoying.......

wombatinwaiting · 22/03/2011 04:12

Morning ladies - wishing you all Teriffic Tuesdays.

Afternoon tea is one of my fave things to do yellow - which hotel did you go to? Didn't get to give my advice on a glass of Wine but it would have been a definite yes Grin. How bloomin' annoying re: waking early and your temping - is stressing likely to have an impact on it...?

Great to hear that you're feeling so happy nurse and that you had a good scan. I'm holding out until I'm 8 weeks (about 3.5 weeks from now and feels like f o r e v e r.....)

Sorry to read you were feeling sad worm - hope your kids gave you the comfort you were after. Hugs.

How are you doing pecka - tough week for you. Hugs to you too.

Did a yoga class for the first time in about 7 weeks last night and boy did it show.... super un-supple. I did tell the teacher and she was sweet. Seeing the physio this afternoon about my wretched hamstring although I think some of the stretches last night have helped a bit.

Waves to emma and harassed and all.

Morning!

Oh I'm tired! We have a poorly kitten so I was sort of aware of her, then the alarm went at 5.30 so dh could go for a run, except allegedly poorly kitten decided that was waking up time so yowled at dd and woke her up.... I was making breakfast and emptying dishwasher at 6am.

Pecka thinking of you.

Worm sounds like you need a (()) too.

Yellow mmmm afternoon tea, how lovely.

Nurse glad you had a good scan. I'm also hoping for an 8 week scan, as baby stopped growing at 7 weeks last time. Going to ask doc tomorrow, otherwise will have to go private.

Wombat Yoga sounds good. I used to do it, and miss it, but there aren't any classes at a good time for me.

Waves to sparkly and emma

Sparklywine · 22/03/2011 10:42

Wombat, what's on special this morning, I'm starving! Pop it over to the chesterfield would you mind, with an extra shot in my americano Grin

How are all the pregnant people doing then? I am starting to feel outnumbered! Grin You will be introducing healthy smoothies and highchairs to our coffee bar, before you know it my sofa will be moved to make way for a soft-play area. It's the thin end of the wedge.
I must admit, I am a bit Envy, only human nature I suppose and it doesn't detract from how delighted I am for you all. When Nurse said how happy she felt I almost welled up, it was so lovely. However, I have been to the greengrocers for some more tomatoes.....Grin
The cottage was nice, I won't say it was a break exactly. I love my dad to bits but we're very similar and can clash, and in his old age he has become quite irritating prone to repetition sometimes. Poor dh, good job there was plenty of whisky to take the edge off for him.
We've managed to swi spontaneously every other day so I'm well topped up, and feeling quite positive, but trying not to put too much pressure on us. DH is rising to the occasion spendidly but refusing to talk about babies or get excited in any way, he just patiently waits for my train of thought to move on to shoes or what to have for tea. Fahlahlah....
Harassed, sorry your kitten is poorly. I was distraught when mine were ill, touch wood they seem to be quite robust now. How does it get on with your children? My nan always told me that cats sit on baby's heads when they sleep, so I'm a bit worried about that.

Anyhow, americano's here, and, what is this, a blueberry muffin, thanks Wombat!
