Sits down next to harassed with with a sweet (with sugar not that evil stuff) Brew take some deep breaths my dear............ I don't blame you feeling scared, there is certainly nothing wrong with your eggs and DP's swimmers hey??!!! Now we all need to cross absolutely everything to get it to stick. God I really feel for you ...............

wombatinwaiting · 18/04/2011 07:54

Oh my goodness harassed - I'm not surprised you feel bad and scared and everything else in between - your recent loss is still so recent.... agree with worm - deep breaths and a Brew.

One suggestion I have would be to get yourself down to your lovely GP asap and ask about perhaps getting progesterone supplements and baby asprin. I don't know if it is those, less exercise or less caffeine for me that has made this one promising, but quite frankly I'm happy to take anything anyone wants to throw at me.

Sending massive hugs and lots of biscuits xxxx

eurrrgh wombat granola just a Brew for me!!! [winks]
Yes indeed SWI has commenced, in fact yesterday we even managed a bit of day time nookie Blush I always wonder if they are worth it, given that I dont lay down for 8 hours after while the swimmers stretch they legs.
I don't feel at all stiff after yesterdays 5k so on tuesday I will be increasing to 6k.
I really need a rainy day here my poor garden is parched and the water butts are nearly empty > also my house is a bit of a tip as I never do housework when the sun is out!!
When is your next scan booked for wombat? are you still taking the sups?
I bet tyou are walking on air after the happy scan yesterday, I really am so relieved for you.

wombatinwaiting · 18/04/2011 08:06

Yeah right worm - I see the croissant crumb trail leading back to your sofar.... Grin Nice one on the SWI - must be the sunshine. V well done on the run too and for upping it on tues -result! He he re: water butts - can we call you penelopekeith?

Next scan will be 12th May or thereabouts - would like it that day as it's a thursday and (fingers crossed) will mean less stressing over the weekend. Doc said that we get the NT results that day and the combined results a couple of days later... yep, still on the fanjo supps - doc said to carry on with those until 16 weeks and the asprin til 32 weeks (I think). Thanks so much for your kind wishes - as well as being v chuffed, I'm also quite scared - I think this makes it much more real (gulp.....)

OP posts:
wombatinwaiting · 18/04/2011 08:22

oops - sofa not sofar.... mind you, it sounds quite posh when you say sofar so quite appropriate for our penelope Grin

How are you doing harassed?

pecka33 · 18/04/2011 08:54

Well ladies I'm on cycle day 29n af due any day now... I can feel her.
This will now be my 7th cycle!!! And I'm gettibg increasingly none impressed with month after month of bfn!! Feel like giving up on the whole process tbh.

My positivity is somwhat reducing month by month...
Any advice?

pecka33 · 18/04/2011 08:56

Ooopppssss sorry about the typo,s! Bloody phone!!!

harassedinherpants · 18/04/2011 09:05

I'm breathing now, and drinking fruit tea...... oh fuckity fuck!!!! Dh does indeed think he has super sperm now, he's walking round with that cheshire grin type smile. Of course it's nothing to do with me Hmm!

Tried to phone docs as she said come straight in, but no reply. Will try again.

I'm ok so far, now I'm over the initial shock. I feel bad that I seem to get prg at the drop of a hat, when others can't, but also feel that if I'm going to have to have 3mc's then better to get it over with. Trying not to feel anything about it tbh.

Wombat how much aspirin are you taking?? And why? Was having a google on that last night.

Sofar sounds sooo much posher than sofa. I loved To The Manor Born.

harassedinherpants · 18/04/2011 09:10

Pecka cross posts lovely. Sorry you think af is coming. My advice is get yourself to a kinesiologist!! Took me 6 months to get first bfp, but it was the month following first af after taking her supps, then as you know I seem to get prg as soon as dh looks at me....... It's not cheap, but then none of these alternative things are. I pay £20 a time plus my supps. A bottle of B6 lasts me 3 weeks ish and costs £17.

Have you tried PreSeed? Used that on first bfp. This time I've been eating brazil nuts, and grapefruit juice before ov'ing for cm.

wombatinwaiting · 18/04/2011 09:46

Sorry you're feeling so down pecka - completely understandable. Would you consider getting any tests done? wOuld you be eligible via the NHS? Sending hugs and remember it's not over til the red witch sings.....

harassed - I am on 1 x 75mg asprin daily which I think is really low dose and the reason is my ob/gyn thought it couldn't do any harm - I'm sure you've done lots of research already, but this article sums it up quite well as to why I'm on it - - although there are other schools of thought that believe asprin could contribute to mc. I took the decision that my body wasn't doing so well on its own so why not get a little extra help. I've not had the thrombothingy test (at least I don't think I have....)

I might whisper a very small "congrats" - as small as you want it to be right now.

Where is everyone today...? Sad

OP posts:
Wormshuffler · 18/04/2011 19:05

I'm here now wombat I have been out tending to the farm in the garden Grin
harassed Where do you get b6 from? I might invest in some of that. I have today decided I will give it until DS will be starting secondary school so the end of this year to keep trying and then if it doesn't work I will give up. Mind you I did initially say I would only try for 6 months and that has now long since past! although if what with the MC they havn't been 6 continueous......... (sp) Did you get hold of the doc in the end?
pecka keep yer chins up, She aint here yet!! and won't be fingers crossed!!!
Right off to cook up a cheesy feast, have a good evening girls :)

ochaye · 18/04/2011 20:26

I'm here now too! Was at work today (sadly our holidays finished last week up here and I was working right through wombat). DD2 is absolutely fine and spent the day with Granny.

harassed ... what absolutely fan-bloomin tastic news. Your symptoms were a dead giveaway Grin. I know it's all very daunting, but try and enjoy this bit. I think it's good to throw caution to the wind and enjoy bfp's. I really hope your GP provides some comfort too. I'll very interested to hear what they say so pleeeeeeease keep me posted.

Cheesy feast eh worm - what was it? We just had fajitas - yum scrum. I starved myself all day to make room!

pecka it took me ages and ages to get my first bfp - 10 cycles I think. I went to see the doc about tests and what d'you know ... the very next cycle. Do you take your temperature at all? What have you been trying? We tried all sorts ... and eventually found SWI'ing every 2 to 3 days from beginning to end worked. And that was all really. Now it seems to happen fairly quickly (fx!). It was almost like my body needed jump started or something.

Big waves to everyones else!

pecka33 · 18/04/2011 22:42

Thanks for the advice ladiesn harrassed I thibk I'm going to look into it this weekend, thz for the advicen and like wombat whispering a small congrats...
I've tried taking my temps, which is really difficult as I get up different times everyday due to work so all very confusing... And this month we tried sex every other day from my period????
Went to docs thursday, he didn't seem to think 7months was a problem...
Were going away in may so may wait till after my holiday abd see where were up too then!!!
Basically me and dh were having unprotected sex for around 2 yrs b4 we got pg last yrn we were trying but we weren't preventing, so not sure what's going on!!
Waves to all xx

Wormshuffler · 19/04/2011 07:16

Morning girls...... I see the chef is slacking again...... (hope you are ok wombat) you know how I love my continental breakfast, so help yourselves! I will have a salami and cream cheese petis pain!
pecka if you told your GP you have been having unprotected sex for 2 years 7 months you would definately be eligible for some tests! I was reading a story recently about a lady who had been trying for years and it turnd out she had a condition where her body would actually kill sperm, it was treated and now they have a bubba! It doesn't necessarily mean you are signing up fpr fertility treatment..... every other day for entire cycle? , ouch I would be sore!Blush
ochaye Well my cheesey feast consisted of garlic, onions and courgettes mixed with pasta and cheese sauce. Not exactly cordon bleu but I love it!

Waves to sparkly yellow harassed emma wellie *mana...........

Wormshuffler · 19/04/2011 09:29

Where is everyone? I need to wail.............. My DD11 "has become a woman" this morning!!!! where did my little baby go

Sparklywine · 19/04/2011 10:00

I'm here Worm, there there. There there
Did she know what was happening? Have you loaded her up with big ol' duvets? I used to leak in the night in the early stages and was too embarrassed to tell my mum, so I slept on an old dressing gown. She found it hidden in the wardrobe about 2 weeks in, must have thought there'd been a massacre. Just a tip.....
She'll be nearly old enough for the Debs Ball then will she? Grin

Wormshuffler · 19/04/2011 10:13

I'm really stressing about it! and have taken the day off work, they were due to go the their Grand-dads for the day . Now you have told me you used to leak I'm really worried as She is supposed to be going on a sleepover tonight that She has been excited about since Christmas! Maybe I could go too........... help!!!

wombatinwaiting · 19/04/2011 10:36

Hi all and once again apologies for the lack of breakfast Blush - thanks for organising worm! Eek: re: your DD - what a moment for you both - I used to leak too but I think protection has come on massively with night pads etc. from my teenage days. Hope you're both holding up ok - hugs.

pecka - I second worm about seeing the GP with those stats. It absolutely doesn't mean that you'd go for IVF, just some initial tests - it could be something as straightforward as DH having low sperm motility. You also read about people falling pg the second they start having tests....

OP posts:
wombatinwaiting · 19/04/2011 11:31

ooops - sorry, forgot to ask - how are you feeling today harassed? Hope you're doiing ok x

OP posts:
Sparklywine · 19/04/2011 12:15

Aw, Worm! It's a right of passage, your lovely baby girl growing up a treat thanks to you. Just make sure she has whopper pads that go up the back (it was the lying down that did it) and with wings to keep it in place. If you've that sort of relationship, mention possible pitfalls to her and that she shouldn't be embarassed, but to wear knickers (thick pj's?) and just check her pad to make sure it doesn't need changing. Maybe for the sleep-over give her nappy bags or something, nothing worse than trying to force a duvet-sized sanny pad down someone's u-bend!
Harassed, a respectfully hushed congratulations to you honey, how are you feeling? Quite a lot to get your head around I'm sure. You are quite the fertile goddess x

Sparklywine · 19/04/2011 12:16

Worm, many cool points deducted for taking your mum to a sleepover I'd have thought (unless you love Glee) Grin

yellowtomato · 19/04/2011 19:08

Sorry I've not been around, lots of work! Am in dr waiting room now, silly face rash thing. Insert joke here!

How you doing harassed did you see the gp or did I miss that?

How you doing pecka?

Sorry I've been rubbish have been lurking though. Def don't think it'll be my month, dtd Sunday and ov thurs, think that is a bit long.

Must go, my turn!

ochaye · 19/04/2011 20:53

Is anyone watching that thing on TV about the new inventions being taken to shops - this week it's Boots. There's a product on there just now that you wear under your arm and takes your temperature thousands of times a day to help you work out when you ovulate. Interesting ...

Hope you're ok harassed and are off relaxing and keeping your mind off things.

OMG worm I haven't got as far as even thinking about when that all starts happening. I would feel very much the same as you I think! Hope you're ok and your lovely wee girl is coping ok too.

No news here ... still bleeding Sad

Wormshuffler · 20/04/2011 06:37

Hello everyone
I'm up early today, got a meeting a million miles away, so it's grab and go for me today.

I hope you are ok harassed , like ochaye just said, try to keep your mind off it....... easier said than done i know...
That invention sounds very interesting ochaye I can just imagine it, a beacon that start flashing when it is the magic moment, connected to a loud hayler warning all in the vacinity to get out of the way, for a lady with an egg Grin
Hope the doc was able to give you something for the rash yellow, do you know what was causing it??
Well DD is still at the sleepover, however I have to fetch her to take her to grandad's at half 7 so I hope it was indeed a sleepover and not a stay-awakeover, or She will be one mardy pre-teen!! She knew what it was when it happened as we had "the talk" about a year ago, but it was still a big moment for Her, and made Me think about just how truely shit my own Mother was........ ahh well we learn from their mistakes I guess......
